Apocalypse Regression's
Daily Life After the Battle

With Scorpio joining the Sword of Sufferings as a temporary member, the battle between the two groups officially ended.

Ark then asked the soldiers to get rid of the enemy's corpses, tie up the survivors, and clear the battlefield.

Seeing how the battle happened and how the Sword of Suffering won the battle, the members of the Blade of Areia felt shocked. Especially Dedric and Ian who have met Ark.

They had not expected at all, that mysterious noble figure had a strange ability. It does not look like an ordinary human being at all. Obviously, that way the mission of conquering the monster nest and taking over the cave has a higher chance of succeeding.

This obviously made Dedric and Ian feel mixed. On the one hand, they were quite happy because the mission would be successful and the casualties could be reduced. On the other hand, they somewhat regretted making a bet with Ark.

If you do not make a bet, you can split the results into 5:5 for each group. Now, they only get 3 out of 10. The remaining 7 would become the Sword of Sufferings's because Dedric and Ian knew they could not be opponents of the group.

Rice has become porridge, coconut has become coconut milk, wood has become charcoal.

Obviously, they can't go back. So what they can do now is to be grateful for what they have and try to develop it.

For example, as a group that has a relationship ‘besabar’ with Sword of Sufferings, they can try to increase cooperation.

Although it could not be an alliance, but with the relationship that ‘saling favor’, the other group would not target the Blade of Areia so easily as not to offend the Sword of Sufferings.

“This view is really eye-opening. I hope, we can change and no longer be frogs in wells that feel the world is only that big.”

Saying that, Dedric turned his head towards his comrades. The man continued.

“You know what we should do from now on, right?”

“Ya, Chairman!”

Everyone nodded with a serious expression on their faces.

Next morning.

In the forecourt of the vast mansion bordering the forest, Ark and several members of Sword of Sufferings ushered in the Blade of Areia group led by Dedric.

“Sorry to have troubled you, Mr. Ark and friends from Sword of Sufferings.”

“It's okay.” Ark shook his head lightly. “There are unexpected events that delay your return. It is fitting that we entertain you well.”

“One more time, thank you.”

“Sama-sama.”

“Then, we go first, Mr. Ark. See you ten days later.”

“Ya.”

Looking towards Dedric who was walking away, disappearing in the fog-filled forest, Ark only nodded lightly. The young man turned his gaze to Roxanne who was nearby.

“Do you think they are useful in joint missions ten days later, Roxanne?”

Hearing the question, Roxanne tilted her head. Gazing right into Ark's eyes, he replied.

“With that power, trying to attack a low-level mutated beast nest alone is already inconclusive, Sir. However, according to your thoughts, they definitely have other uses.”

Roxanne's words made Ark lift the corner of his lips. He then stroked the woman's head gently as he said.

“It seems you really know me, Roxanne.”

Roxanne is shocked by what Ark is doing. Sensing the hand stroking his head gently, he could only blush while nodding lightly.

They also returned to the mansion. Passing through the front yard, it appeared the soldiers were doing their morning exercises. Although unable to distinguish day or night due to the fog, they still practiced according to the schedule made by Ark.

In addition to doing basic exercises, Ark asked Scorpio to help the chefs and craftsmen. Let him carry things along and do simple work. Cutting vegetables or cleaning craft ingredients.

At the time of getting the order, Scorpio feels confused. Yesterday, he felt employed as a porters in charge of lifting and moving goods. Only today did he realize that he was not even stronger than a freight lifter.

His strength that was considered an elite in the Cursed Berserkers was really nothing more than a random person in the Sword of Sufferings that was not even highlighted in battle.

This obviously makes Scorpio feel a mental blow. Therefore, now he only focused on doing basic exercises and helping to do menial tasks like what Ark said.

Finished doing the morning exercises, Scorpio goes to the back shed to pick up the ingredients that will be made into lunch.

There Scorpio sees a blond young man with emerald eyes. From an age, he was obviously much younger than Scorpio, but it still made the man respect him.

“Good morning, Senior Gordon.”

“Yo!” The blond young man, Gordon waved with a relaxed smile on his face. “It seems you are used to it. Truly amazing adaptability.”

“You praise me, Senior Gordon.”

Scorpio nodded lightly then helped Gordon to bring along the materials.

From looks and duties, Gordon seemed ordinary. But Scorpio knows that the young man is also quite appreciated by Ark. Not because of his fighting skills, but his cooking skills.

It also made Gordon the only chef to have level 2 strength, comparable to the soldiers. It also made many soldiers appreciate it. Not only was it easy to blend in with his comrades, the young man cooked well and was quite strong.

Even due to his achievements, Ark consented to Gordon to come with him as head chef. That was also the reason why now he rarely cooked by himself. The young man even let Gordon learn a sword skill that was quite powerful.

According to the soldiers, Gordon was once personally trained by Saito on Ark's orders. Although not so long, but they are sure that Gordon's fighting prowess is not at all inferior to them.

Scorpio asked his seniors about a man named Saito. They replied that the man was one of the Ark's trusted generals who had a mission in another city. It was even considered to have monstrous abilities that were almost invincible among the generals.

‘Come and go with the gust of wind, appear and disappear with shadow.’

Such a sentence made Scorpio feel astonished to know the people in the Sword of Sufferings would not lie to him. So, he also treated Gordon with respect even if it was still easy.

Because in the Sword of Sufferings, it was not the most important age, but strength and skill!

“Why do you look depressed, Scorpio?”

“Yes. To be honest, I do feel depressed because people seem to expect too much of me.

I mean, I have absolutely no idea what you expect of me. Comparing me to geniuses like you guys makes me feel speechless.”

“Hahaha! Don’t mind, Scorpio. Just relax.” Gordon laughed kindly. “You only need to perform tasks according to your capacity. With the Chairman as a road guide, you need not fear getting lost.”

Gordon himself never felt depressed. He did not consider himself to be the same as the monsters. The young man only knew that his cooking skills favored Ark and had a slight advantage over the others.

Compared to monsters like Saito, Leon, Draco, Lisa, and so on.

It's just that Gordon was also a little envious and curious towards Scorpio and the other two members.

‘If the choice of Mr is once again appropriate. Then the Sword of Sufferings will definitely become even more terrifying by the joining of this Miss Aisha, Angelica, and Scorpio.’

Thinking that, Gordon shook his head. The young man then asked.

“How about those Cursed Berserkers?”

Hearing Gordon's question, Scorpio's expression became dim. The man also replied.

“Should result be decided by Master after lunch.”
