Apocalypse Regression's

Apocalypse Regression's
Cannot Be Dependable

Two weeks passed, Ark and his group finally came out of the mountain region.

“Finally ... we finally get out of that shitty place!”

Coming out of the mountainous region that made their days filled with tension, Jay was satisfied. The muscles of his body loosened, so it was more relaxed when he saw the trees that were increasingly tenuous and not so high.

Some mutated beasts were not at a high level, not too dense, and visibility was also good. It was not at all covered in dense vegetation where many creatures were hiding and ready to ambush.

Moreover, within this time, all the members of the group had been well trained. They have incredible combat experience. Merely, there was no longer anyone leveling up due to the lack of number of potions.

As it is known, the higher the level, the rarer the ingredients to make a potion. So, in Sword of Sufferings himself, Ark focused more on the higher-ups and the chosen troops he relied on more.

The rest of the members, at best were at the peak of level two like the elite knights he brought along. In fact, most members whose status was not warriors were only at level one.

Arguably, of the 100% total members, 75% are at level 2, 20% are at level 1, and those at level 3 or more are less than 5%.

Satisfied with complaining, Jay ends up focusing on the environment around him. Looking towards the direction they were about to leave, the man wondered.

“Is it thick cloud?”

Looking at the gray sky in the distance, Jay felt confused. The reason was simple, because other than in that direction, the sky was so bright. So, that glaring scene was really too strange.

After thinking about a few things, Jay's expression turned pale.

“Don't say, that direction ..”

“Should be your hometown,” said Ark calmly.

Hearing the words of his best friend, Jay's expression immediately turned heavier than before.

“Find a suitable place to set up a tent. Tonight, we'll rest here”

“Ya, Chairman!” answer them in unison.

The dreamy Jay was immediately shocked when he heard Ark's words. He stared at his best friend with an expression of disbelief.

“Follow me.”

Ark said calmly. After saying that, he walked away to the top of the hill they passed by. Though confused, Jay still catches up with him.

“Are you confused why I chose to build a tent here, and not continue the journey?”

“Ya.” Jay nodded lightly.

Sitting on top of a boulder, Ark looked towards the thick clouds and fog in the distance. Jay stood beside him, staring into the distance with a complicated expression.

“In your opinion, with the number of troops and our speed ... how long will it take to reach that place?”

Looking at the clouds and fog in such a far away place, Jay felt perplexed.

“I don't know,” said the man.

“Disregarding the terrain passed, we will arrive there in three days. But is the city really safe? Definitely not sure.

Our group has been exhausted after passing through the forests and mountains for almost a month. Their muscles are tense and mentally they are not in good shape. If forced, it must end in a bad way.

Therefore, I want to delay one day before returning to leave for that place.

One day rested, rushed to the location for three days, and rested one more day before entering the city. Five days total.

Three days in poor condition, and five days in prime condition. You must know better. After all, after delaying for so long before it got to this place, adding two days is not a problem at all, right?”

Hearing Ark's words, Jay took a deep breath. After a while, he calmed down.

“You're right, Ark. Maybe I'm too tired and nervous. Adding two days is not a problem at all.”

Looking at his best friend's expression, Ark said casually.

“I know how depressed you are. However, according to your description, your family should be safe because they have the strength and wealth that helps at the beginning of the stage. Now, maybe they make a small group.

Although his life was not as good as Sword of Sufferings, but as you know, there were still quite a number of groups surviving in other cities. Your parent group could be one of them.”

Hearing how Ark tried to comfort him, Jay smiled. Gazing towards his best friend, he replied with a calm expression.

“You don't have to entertain me, Ark. Life chances 50:50, and we all know it. Therefore, I have prepared myself.

“It seems that you really are an adult.” Ark shrugged his shoulders.

“...”

Jay's stunned. He then looked towards Ark with an expression of disbelief.

“You mean, all this time I wasn't an adult?!”

“See yourself. I think that if Lisa is like a 5th or 6th grader, you are at best .. You are a SMP.” child

“A-“

“Class 1,” Add Ark.

“...”

Jay's dumbfounded. He wanted to retaliate, but did not know how to reply. The man could only point at his best friend with his mouth open and close.

“Already. No need to reply to this kind of thing anymore. Let's go back.”

Ark got up while chuckling. He then walked away while continuing.

“Yesterday we got a nice and rare catch. Tonight, we can party, eat a good steak and soup.”

Looking towards Ark who was walking away, Jay no longer argued. In the end, he could only catch up with his best friend without saying a word.

***

Her night.

“It's really delicious! It's been a long time since I've eaten steak with fresh meat and seasonings like this!”

Not far from the campfire, Jay ate voraciously. Not only him, but all the members including Ark also enjoyed his dishes.

One day before, they had accidentally met a mountain sheep-like mutated beast whose flesh could be eaten. Ark himself even asked people to search, as they could have found a herd of mutated mountain sheep.

If they find a place where the creature lives, when they return, they can take some saplings to take home, raised as livestock.

As adults, they could not carry it because the size of the mutated mountain sheep itself was larger than the cow before the apocalypse. The chick is likely slightly larger than an adult goat, so it can still be carried.

It's just, the dream is beautiful, but the reality is bitter.

After searching, Ark and his group found no other mutated mountain sheep.

Sitting near the campfire, Ark saw the soldiers singing and dancing after dinner. Since there were no dangerous enemies around, and his own existence frightened the normal level 1 and 2 creatures there, the young man let them feast to relieve fatigue and relieve tension.

Ark glanced at Jay and Mona. Looking at Mona who looked nervous like never before, as well as her pale appearance, she became suspicious.

‘Don't say ..’

Ark's eyes narrowed. The young man then called Jay, and took her away from the crowd.

“What's up, Ark?” jay asked with a confused expression.

“Tell me, Jay. Mona ... is not pregnant, right?”

Ark's expression became serious. He is very concerned about pregnant women. Like Vadim's two wives who eventually became pregnant, the young man asked for their workload to be reduced.

For him, those children who would be born would be their hope. Maintain and develop human populations on the verge of extinction.

So, if Jay brings Mona pregnant on a dangerous mission like this, Ark will not hesitate to hit her.

“Eh? Contain? Why don't I know?”

“...”

Looking at the dumbfounded Jay, the corner of Ark's lips twitched. Staring at his best friend who was pecking at the spot and looked unexpected, he could not help but curse inwardly.

‘K-west of this ..’

‘ ABSOLUTELY UNRELIABLE!’
