Apocalypse Regression's
The Blade of Areia Invitation

About two hours later, in the living room of the Sword of Sufferings headquarters.

“Include, my name is Dedric, the chairman of the Blade of Areia.” group

The figure of a rather short skinny man with brown wavy hair and emerald green eyes sitting on the sofa introduced himself.

“This is my colleague and vice chairman of Blade of Areia, Ian.”

Dedric introduced the tall and muscular figure of the man who was beside him. His appearance was quite handsome and more like a fighter when compared to Dedric. Only, he was so quiet and did not say a word.

Ian simply nodded politely as a greeting.

“Sorry, he has absolutely no intention of behaving disrespectfully. Ian cannot speak, so if communicating, we use sign language.”

Dedric smiled apologetically.

Seeing that, Ark nodded lightly. Merely, the young man felt a bit strange as it was only the first time to see a somewhat sane group in this city.

According to him, temperament was good and having the soul of such a hero was definitely not suitable to live in this place.

“Good to meet you, Dedric, Ian. My name is Ark and this is my assistant, Roxanne.

As you can see, I am the head of the Sword of Suferrings organization. So, if you want to say something, you don't have to hesitate at all.

Dedric nodded lightly when he saw Ark. It was just that, he simply could not forget the incident that had happened a few hours before.

By the time the Blade of Areia came, they were instantly surrounded by twenty strong-looking warriors. It was they who brought the people from the Blade of Areia towards the mansion.

Arriving at the mansion, Cedric, Ian, and their subordinates were shocked when they saw the hundreds of knights who were training. Such a sight made them feel inferior and oppressed.

Dedric stared at Ark, a handsome young man who looked elegant and had the appearance of a noble from a fairyland. His image was simply no match for the hundred strong warriors who were outside.

Meanwhile, Ian looked towards Ark with a complicated expression. Although she looked elegant on the surface, she felt danger emanating from the young man. It felt clearly far away...is far more dangerous than those outside.

Seeing Ark so friendly, Dedric heaved a sigh of relief. Compared to the ruthless Cursed Berserkers or the Golden Maple Group as well as the arrogant Imperial Phoenix, he felt these Sword of Sufferings were easier to talk to.

“Actually, there is a special reason why we came to this place.”

“Oh? Is there a problem, Mr Dedric? If there is, you can talk about it casually. No need to be so nervous.

Merely, the Sword of Sufferings was a neutral organization that had no intention of alliance with any other group. We have no intention of defending any of you. Instead, we do business that can be trusted.”

“Business?” Dedric looked confused.

“Sell-buy information, weapons, equipment, and various types of potions. Of course, the price varies depending on the quality.

For payment, we accept raw materials in the form of various types of strange plants, fruits, or metal ores. Of course, we can also buy information that is considered valuable.”

Ark said in a relaxed tone. Even so, his speech was so eloquent, it seemed like a professional in this kind of field.

Dedric looked surprised. It was completely unexpected that the Sword of Sufferings operated in such a manner. Although it was somewhat suspicious, but he did not feel Ark was trying to trick him.

That means ... Sword of Sufferings could make equipment and potions independently! It was not even something that other large groups could do!

“Uhuk! Uhuk!”

Dedric pretended to cough. After a while of adjusting, the man finally opened his mouth.

“I'm sorry, Mr. Ark. Actually the reason why we came is not to forge an alliance, but also not to trade.”

“Oh? Then, what was the reason Mr Dedric came to this place with a lot of core troops?”

“Of course we came in peace.”

“The reason for our arrival was actually to invite the Sword of Sufferings to run a job together. We came because you guys are our ‘neighbor’, and the place I mean is in the border of our region.”

“Oh? A job? What kind of work?”

“A mining.”

“Hah?”

Ark raised his eyebrows, feeling that what Dedric said was not so reliable.

“I'm not lying at all. We found a strange cave close to the border of the region. There, we found a strange ore that looked like silver, but was also different.

We originally wanted to ask for a favor from the Cursed Berserkers, but that kind of thing must have been for naught. Not only would they not help, they would certainly repel or even try to silence us.

Imperial Phoenix and the Golden Maple Group were too far away. If working together with them, the Cursed Berserkers would definitely find an awkwardness and would end up in a war between the groups.

The strength of the other group is worse than ours. Therefore, we would like to invite the Sword of Sufferings as you guys are famous for being quite strong. It came from out of town, and was considered a real force.

We didn't expect you to be stronger than we thought. To be honest, it made me ashamed and lacking confidence.

However, I believe the ore we are referring to is not ordinary silver at all. Likely a mutated strange metal or something. Isn't that valuable?”

Hearing that, Ark nodded lightly without changing his expression. Even so, he himself was actually quite excited. The young man had absolutely no idea that the Blade of Areia group could be so lucky.

“Then, why don't you guys try to monopolize the place yourself? Isn't that more profitable, Mr Dedric?”

“Not want.” Dedric took a long breath. “Only, our strength is not enough to clean up the monsters that live there, let alone start hogging.”

“Oh? So Blade of Areia plans to clean up monsters that are harder to kill than zombies?”

“Isn't there a discovery like poison or something? I heard you guys are from outside, so we can only try our luck by contacting you.”

Although somewhat embarrassed to admit it, Dedric felt that only the Sword of Sufferings were less dangerous and could be invited to cooperate in carrying out this mission. Whether he could do it or not, he was just trying his luck.

Can only entrust the rest to luck. No less, no more.

“Silver-like ores. Although the possibility of the ore is valuable, but the risk is also quite large. Honestly, I'm quite interested in the project you're talking about, Mr. Dedric.

Only, there is a slight shortage. I'm sorry to offend you, but .. I think the Blade of Areia is still less powerful.

If the mission of this project is done. How many shares will we apply?”

Hearing that, Dedric was not angry at all. Instead, he was quite happy that Ark was still interested in his invitation.

“We can split it 7 :3. Of course, Blade of Areia gets 7 and Sword of Sufferings 3.”

“Too little.” Ark shook his head. “What if 6 :4? Sword of Sufferings 6 and Blade of Areia 4. That's already the best price I can give.”

Hearing that, Dedric frowned. Before replying, Ark suddenly said.

“Then, how about we bet?”

Dedric seemed rather worried. But after finding no other options, he finally asked back.

“What do you want to bet on, Mr Ark?”

Ark raised the corner of his lips then replied calmly.

“Of course something interesting.”
