Apocalypse Regression's

Apocalypse Regression's
Improvisation Jay

One day later, at the headquarters of the Golden Maple Group.

Seeing the many people gathered to set up the new team, Jay found it rather complicated.

Yesterday he had seen many people buried. Although death is natural, especially in this chaotic world. Yet seeing the sad expressions of those who lost their comrades made him feel uneasy.

“Is it always like this?”

Sitting in the potion storage while looking at Chelsea, Jay could not help but ask.

“What do you mean funeral ceremony, Young Master?”

Chelsea tilted her head. Staring towards the dazed Jay with a puzzled expression.

“Ya.” Jay nodded heavily.

“Actually no.” Chelsea shook her head. “Actually, we don't do funeral ceremonies often.”

“Then why was such a ceremony done yesterday? Is it because there are higher-ups who died in the mission?”

“Not really.” Chelsea once again shook his head.

“Then why?” ask Jay.

“Not because of his position or rank. It's just, we can't always bring back the bodies of our comrades.

Most members die when dealing with zombies or mutated beasts. Against such creatures, their bodies were not intact. It was even often swallowed by monsters or crushed into meat paste.

If their condition was intact, sometimes the distance from that place to the main headquarters was very far. They were eventually buried where they died. Arguably, only a few can go back and be buried in a decent way.”

Hearing that, Jay was at a loss for words. He knows what Chelsea mean.

Not because they didn't want to do it, but because their strength didn't allow them to do it. In front of such a powerful opponent, they really could not do anything.

Can only accept the fate of a chicken cut on the farm that could have been taken and slaughtered at any time.

‘Such life ..’

Just thinking about it made Jay feel extremely depressed. He had no idea that life was so fragile.

Not because they don't try.

Not because they don't want to fight.

Not because they don't want to grow.

They just can't do it.

Yes ... simple as that.

‘So this is what Ark means that I am still very lucky compared to the people out there.’

Thinking that, Jay took a deep breath. At that very instant, he began to think about what he had been doing all along.

‘Is what I did right?’

That kind of question started popping up in Jay's head. Questions about how his life should go. What to do because he has the power.

At that moment, Jay suddenly thought of Ark.

According to the young man, in this apocalypse, they were merely relay-stick bearers. Not to hold the stick forever, but to give it to the next generation. Making sure that humanity survives.

Although Ark's idea is extreme because it only wants to save people who meet the criteria, Jay believes his best friend holds the truth of his own.

Building places, gathering people, training them, increasing the number of people. What Ark has been doing is in line with its long-term view. It is different from what he and others think.

The food? Of water? A monster? Can it survive or not?

The man thought not only of himself, but of the entire human race. Only, he gave up on saving everyone and chose the one that falls into the category of ‘handy’ for the development of mankind.

Although ruthless, Jay also realizes that by Ark's means, the chances of survival and development are indeed greater than taking and holding everything randomly. Only, the man wondered ...

‘Has his conscience hurt when he couldn't save everyone and could only choose what was needed?’

‘Did he cover up all his feelings and seal him behind that ice-cold flat expression at the north pole?’

‘So, all this time we only looked from the side we knew without caring what he really felt?’

Thinking of his best friend who always makes tough and cruel decisions, Jay suddenly feels depressed. He felt guilty and regretful for not appreciating what the young man had done.

‘Of course, I still don't like how he hangs the feelings of many women.’

Thinking about it, Jay once again shook his head.

Chelsea who saw Jay nodded and shook her head in a daze held a smile. He didn't know what the man was thinking. Even so, the girl knew that Jay was thinking about something important, so had no intention to stage it.

About half an hour later, Jay woke up.

Looking up at Chelsea who smiled at him, the man immediately felt very embarrassed. Really busy daydreaming for yourself and ignoring everything around him.

“Uhuk! Uhuk! Forgive my impoliteness, Chelsea.”

“Absolutely not a problem, Young Master.” Chelsea replied softly.

“Omong-by the way, I got an idea that might come in handy.”

“Ide?” Chelsea tilted her head.

“I can't help you directly, but I can still help you in my own way.

For example, due to travel constraints, two groups could not continue trading, I could shorten it to one-week one-time trading. Besides, I also saw some materials in the warehouse that Ark was interested in.

Rather than having less research value or being a display, wouldn't it be better to exchange it for the items or knowledge needed first?”

Hearing Jay's idea, Chelsea's eyes immediately sparkled. Not only could she gain the knowledge she wanted, but the girl could occasionally come out to meet Ark. Merely, he seemed rather lethargic when he thought of the chairman and vice chairman of the Golden Maple Group.

Jay's idea is actually pretty good, it even makes sense. It's just that, Jay's parents didn't necessarily agree to such an idea. That's why he feels a little sad. After all, the way Jay gave was much faster to gather strength and knowledge.

Still, not everyone is used to that sort of thing. Feeling better to keep rare items even consider them as treasures or something when they cannot use them.

In this chaotic world, living a few days longer was already considered a boon. Such a way of thinking was simply ineffective to survive in this chaotic world. It is better to bite according to what can be bitten, filling the stomach so that it can walk forward smoothly.

It's just that most people like to try to bite off more than they can bite. In the end, it made him choke to death.

It didn't end well, but it was stumped.

Despite not saying what he was thinking, Jay could slightly guess what was inside Chelsea's head. The man then smiled while saying.

“Take it easy, Chelsea. I'll try to convince my mom and dad. This action benefits both parties, should they agree.”

“Really?” chelsea asked with doubt.

“Of course true.”

“What if Mr Ark disagrees? Although beneficial, overextending is clearly less beneficial in the long-term relationship of both groups.”

“Just relax, Ark must understand what I mean.”

Hearing Jay's words, Chelsea nodded lightly. He then bowed 45 degrees while saying.

“Thank you for your help for Golden Maple Group, Young Master.”
