Apocalypse Regression's

Apocalypse Regression's
Dark Triangles

"So ... when can we start that exchange?"

Joseph asked again with a curious look on his face. The man was obviously impatient to do so immediately. Ark shook his head.

"Ten days later, winter will come. Just like in the summer, my Dark Caravan only trades once every two weeks. So, we do it at the time of the first trade in the winter.

Besides, it seems we should focus more on two things."

"Oh?" Julian tilted his head. "What's that?"

"Alliances name, let's define this now. The other, we'll discuss later. So ... do you have any advice?"

Julian immediately raised his hand and said confidently. "Great Holy Alliance!"

"..."

Ark's lip twitching. Joseph also covered his face. Although the name is quite good, but ...

Do the rebel groups and the mysterious and ruthless merchant groups deserve that name? The answer is clearly NO!

"Let's change. We don't really fit the word 'holy' or anything like that." Ark shook his head lightly. "Do you have any advice, Mr Joseph?"

"Let's find a simpler name. Since this alliance connects the three big groups, we can wear triangles. Then ... we need something that is considered a goal or a profitable thing. The gold color seems good.

How about using the name Golden Triangle?"

"Golden is a bit less suited because it has nothing to do with our group. These three groups can be regarded as groups of citizens who do not believe the government (Silver Cross), rebel groups (Black Panther), and the group of evil traders (Dark Caravan).

What about the Dark Triangle?"

"Hmmm .. not bad." Joseph nodded.

"But that's not at all in line with the Silver Cross, is it?" julian asked doubtfully.

"Then change your group to Black Cross or Shadow Cross" Ark replied flatly.

"Hey! It's ruining my group's essence!" Julian felt completely helpless. Seeing two people agree, a minority (he) could only say, "As much as you!"

"Then we agree, our alliance will be called the Dark Triangle Alliance!"

Ark was satisfied. After which, he glanced at Joseph before adding.

"Before it is officially established, we will discuss the last important matter."

Sensing Ark's gaze, Joseph raised his eyebrows and asked, "Is there anything you need from Black Panther, Hades?"

"Honestly, compared to the other two groups, Black Panther's roots are deeper because it used to have ties to the military. But there's a problem.

Compared to the Dark Caravan with its few but stable members or the Silver Cross which contained labile youth ... Black Panther was arguably a mixture of fresh and rotten vegetables."

Comparing the rebel group with fresh and rotten vegetables made Joseph's expression stiff. It really felt that it was being ridiculed by the two young men in front of it.

"Just tell me what you mean, Hades. Stop messing with this old man" Joseph said dissatisfiedly.

"As I said, you guys are a mix of fresh and rotten vegetables. If not taken care of immediately, your group may soon rot. Being more rotten than Imperial Tigers or Third Scars.

So, before you rot ... how about throwing away the rotten part first? Besides, I'm working with Black Panther because of you, Mr. Joseph. Not because of those selfish old things.

What say?"

"Ark, you ..."

Julian did not bother to call out his nickname at all. He stared at the Ark with an expression of disbelief. Joseph clearly said that the Black Panther was about to split, but Julian did not expect that Ark would immediately make a suggestion to just massacre it.

If the battle did occur, perhaps one third of the Black Panther members would die. That means hundreds of people will die. Not hundreds of beasts or zombies, but they had to kill hundreds of people. It really wasn't something Julian wanted to see, let alone do.

"I know what you're thinking. However, cleaning the rotten part before it spreads does need to be done.

Besides, I can guarantee there won't be too many casualties. As long as we are united, it is not impossible to clear the higher ups and core figures. If we can do it quickly, we can reduce the casualties. After all, most soldiers were not so guilty.

"How strong is your belief in doing so, Hades?" ask Joseph.

"Master! It concerns the lives of hundreds, maybe more than a thousand people! If it fails-"

"You shut up, Siegfried." Joseph interrupted the young man behind him.

Seeing the stern and complicated expression on Joseph's face, Siegfried finally decided to shut up. He felt a bit reluctant. The young man had a desire to resuscitate people, make them all better and let go of their past crimes. A typical young man who has not slapped the harshness of the world, a naive figure who has not seen anyone who has rotten to the depths of his heart.

"If we finish the plan well without any external interference or cunning intrigue, I'm sure the success rate is 90%. As for the rest, there will likely be around 200 to 300 people will die if we don't manage to do everything on time."

"It seems you have investigated Black Panther well, Hades." Joseph took a long breath.

"Just think about it, Mr. Joseph. I'm not forcing you at all. If you don't want to do it, just assume you never listen to me. We better get on with everything as usual."

"..."

Joseph closed his eyes. He took a deep breath. His expression looked heavy, but he finally said, "We've come this far, so it's hard to go back."

"Master ..." muttered Siegfried with a depressed expression on his face.

"Maybe this is what's called committing a crime for the greater good?" joseph said with a bitter smile on his face. Gazing towards the Ark, he continued, "I'm willing to do it. So, please .. do it seriously because it concerns the lives of many."

Looking at Joseph, Ark let out a long sigh. He quite understood how hard it was to let go and sacrifice innocent people, especially if they were his own comrades. The young man then put on a serious expression then said,

"Send me. I'll take everything seriously."

Ark turned his eyes to Julian.

"I hope you're serious and decisive, too, Julian. Any carelessness can make a lot of lives disappear... You understand what I mean, don't you?"

Sensing Ark and Joseph's gaze, Julian who was initially a bit hesitant took a deep breath before saying.

"Because of the lives of so many innocent people, of course I will do it all out!"

***

Her night.

After forming the alliance and carrying out detailed planning, the three groups disbanded and returned to their respective headquarters.

On the way, Lisa who was sitting near Darin stared at the Ark riding on the figure of a white wolf (actually a mutated husky). After a moment of hesitation, he decided to ask.

"Are we not at a loss, Chief?"

"Because we're going to give you three recipes for free?"

"Yes." Yeah." Lisa was confused.

"We will give you the recipe in the first transaction, which is the beginning of winter. You know that, right?"

"Yes. Does it have anything to do with losses and gains?" ask Lisa.

"There certainly is." Ark smiled behind his mask. "Try to think carefully. I gave you three recipes. But in the winter where almost everything will be covered in snow and frozen .. where will you get the ingredients to make potions and ointments?"

Lisa's eyes suddenly popped. He stared at the Ark with an expression of disbelief.

"Don't say"

"Yes. They can't get it before spring comes. Which means, during winter or rather three months .. we will recruit members at low prices.

Three months means 240 people who can be made into craftsmen and soldiers. So when spring arrives, the power of the Sword of Sufferings will surge very high. Back then, two new groups could utilize the recipe while we climbed to a place they could not reach. So ..."

Ark glanced at Lisa and asked.

"Is that a gain or a loss, Little Girl?"
