Apocalypse Regression's
Trying to Move the Heart?

"Let's go."

Saying that, Ark walked away. But right then and there, Jay held Ark's shoulder to stop the young man from leaving.

"Where do you want to go, Ark? Why are you walking in the opposite direction?"

"We avoid unnecessary fighting. Besides, our purpose is different. Kita—"

"Stop making excuses, Ark. We're strong enough now, isn't it okay to try to help people? With so many more people he could save, right?"

"..."

Ark looked at Jay with an indifferent expression. He looks cold. The life and death of others had absolutely nothing to do with him. After all, the young man had seen many deaths. So, it was not impossible that the person they saved would die later.

Instead of being scared, Jay also looked into Ark's eyes. In the depths of his eyes, it seemed a pure intention to save others. A sincere attitude that only exists in the hearts of heroic people.

"Tsk .. do what you want."

Ark slammed Jay's hand on his shoulder.

Seeing Ark agree, Jay smiled. He then dragged his best friend towards the source of the sound.

"I can walk alone."

In the end Ark walked alone following the excited-looking Jay.

After a while of walking, they finally arrived in front of a supermarket. There, a group of six men with four men and two women appeared. They were surrounded by over twenty zombies, nearly thirty zombies!

When Ark and Jay arrive, naturally they, special Jay makes a sound. It instantly made the zombies and the six people notice their presence.

The group of six people was shocked when they saw the figure of Ark and Jay. Besides because of the weapons they carry, both are quite striking because they look clean in times like this.

"Just do it, this has absolutely nothing to do with me."

After saying that, Ark walked towards the sturdy-looking car. Leisurely, he jumped lightly, climbed up then sat on the roof of the car. It was completely indifferent to the group of six people staring at him.

"Even if I don't say it, I understand, Ark!"

After saying that, Jay instantly drew out a single sword. With the shield in his left hand, the man directly advanced towards the zombie horde.

Seeing Jay's reckless behavior, Ark just stayed in place. Not at all intent on protesting how careless his best friend was.

Swooshes!

Jay's figure shot forward. He directly slammed the shield towards one of the zombies. Making the zombie bounce and hit the zombies gathered.

Choosing a solitary zombie, Jay swung his sword. With his current strength, the zombie head was instantly cut down without having the time to have much of a reaction. After which, the man immediately rushed towards the other zombies.

Seeing how Jay cut the zombies easily as if using a scythe to mow the grass, the six people looked surprised. However, Ark only let out a long sigh.

"Even if he's strong, he's still sloppy."

Ark muttered softly. Jay kept cutting ruthlessly. However due to the large number of zombies, rather than immediately annihilating them all ...

Jay ends up surrounded by dozens of zombies!

"I think I'm in trouble ... Ark?!"

Hearing that, instead of immediately helping out, Ark was still sitting on top of a broken car. The young man was holding a spear while propping up his chin, staring at Jay with a blank expression.

"Are you just going to shut up, Aibou???" (My partner)

Hearing Jay who asked with a wry smile on her face, Ark raised the corner of her lips.

"Silent. If you become a zombie, I will finish and bury you myself.

So .. zim~"

Hearing the word "excitement" that was so flat, the corner of Jay's lips twitched. He did not expect that his best friend would be so hearty just because he made his own decision.

"Come!!!" jay said firmly when facing the zombies.

About half an hour later, the fight was finally over.

"Huh ... Huh ..."

Sweating quite profusely, Jay smiled quite complacently as he looked at Ark.

"..."

Ark was silent, but inwardly scorned a little.

'With your physique having broken through the first boundary and the training I gave you over the past few days, if it can't finish off some of these ordinary zombies.'

"I know you're thinking rough things about me, Ark!"

Jay pointed at Ark while protesting.

Just then, the group of six walked towards Jay and spoke.

"Hello, sorry to interrupt your conversation. Thank you so much for saving us."

A blond man with a well-built body, square face and a modest looking said in a polite tone. Behind him, appeared a tall and large man in black with short cut hair. There were also skinny men with glasses with disheveled hair and wearing checkered shirts. One other man was a tall skinny man with neatly cut blonde hair.

While the two women have the appearance of a college girl. One of them had straight blonde hair, while the other had wavy brown hair. They have a beautiful body shape and are well trained. Looks like the two of them are cheerleaders from a certain college.

"Oh! No problem at all. We happened to pass by, so we helped."

Jay replies kindly, while Ark just keeps quiet without retaliating.

"Include me, I'm Frank. These ones are Brad (black guy), Darin (glass guy), Myron (blonde guy with neat appearance), Stacy (blonde girl), and Juana (wavy brunette girl).

Again, thank you for saving us. If we may know, are you from a certain refuge? If so, can you help us get to that place?"

Frank was polite. Indeed, from appearances alone, Ark and Jay were not ordinary people. Either from the clothes or weapons they carry.

The six people looked at Ark and Jay expectantly. The six of them carried only three iron pipes, one baseball bat, and two girls even held only two worn-looking kitchen knives. It's a long way off compared to Ark and Jay.

"Hello, my name is Jay and this is my best friend, Ark. Sorry, we're not from any shelter."

Jay scratched the back of his head with an honest face.

"Then, your weapons and your clothes?"

"We found it on the way."

Ark replied in an indifferent tone.

"Then can you help us get to the shelter?"

"No."

Before Jay answered, Ark refused.

"Why? Just because it's a little strong, you don't want to help people in need?"

This time, the man named Myron said with a fierce tone.

"Unlike Brother Jay who petrified us humbly, you only watch when others are almost killed by zombies!"

Hearing that, Ark's eyes narrowed. The corner of his lips slightly raised.

"When Jay fights, you just keep watching there when he wants to help you. Not to mention, you blondes don't know themselves.

You're hiding behind these two big guys, Frank and Brad, right?"

Hearing that, Myron gritted his teeth.

"Then give us the weapons! At the very least, it helped us survive while traveling. As fellow survivors, we have to help each other, right?"

Hearing that, Ark slightly nodded. He got out of the car and walked towards them. His right hand held a spear. Having a flat expression on his face, the young man stood in front of Myron then suddenly hit him in the face until the blond man fell into the street.

"First, don't rule me. Second, we look for weapons with our efforts, so if you want, just search the houses or buildings around. Do you think we take it for free without fighting?

Third, stop seeking sympathy by mentioning the words of humanity. You are just someone who hides behind others to survive. It's disgusting to hear those words from your mouth. Fourth ..."

Ark pointed towards Myron with a spear in his hand. Looking at the blond man with a cold expression, he said.

"Don't make me repeat it again or I'll kill you myself."
