Apocalypse Regression's

Apocalypse Regression's
Making Another Deal

In the afternoon.

Ark and his comrades had finally arrived at the Silver Cross headquarters. Seeing the not-so-high building that seemed to have been remodeled into a fortress, the young man nodded. In the 3rd visit at the Silver Cross headquarters, it seems that they are progressing better. Makes Ark quite satisfied with it.

Seeing the arrival of the Dark Caravan, many Silver Cross members began to gather. Some also entered the base immediately. It seemed that they had directly called the chairman and the higher-ups of the group.

After a while, the figure of Julian accompanied by Berto appeared. Seeing Ark's arrival, a shocked and excited expression appeared on Julian's face.

"I didn't expect you to come soon, Hades. Is it really that useful?"

Without coming down from Finn's back, Ark said in a flat tone. "That thing is very poisonous. But I can't deny, it can indeed be considered a treasure."

"Eh???"

"Do you think I'm lying?"

"No. Merely, I think that thing is a treasure that is very helpful to the human body or something.

Did it poison your subordinates? Come to ask for responsibility?"

"Where might I directly test it to humans." Ark shook his head. "I came only to repay you. I heard from Tamer, you need my help."

"really? Should we go in to talk?"

"Good." Ark nodded lightly then jumped down. He then looked towards Darin. "Find a comfortable place to rest. Tamer, you're coming with me. The rest stay."

Lisa jumped down excitedly. He approached Ark while whistling, standing to his left cheerfully.

"By the way, tell your subordinates not to come any closer. If they lose a limb or are poisoned to death, I will have absolutely no responsibility. Blame it on their stupidity."

"I understand" Julian said before telling Berto to spread the command.

Ark and Lisa follow Julian into the base. They passed through the first floor where there was a large space where usually many people rested after patrolling or hunting all night. They then went up to the fifth floor where Julian's office was located.

"Berto, you wait outside. Don't let anyone, not even the core members, get close. It's very important, so don't mess up."

"Good, Chief!"

After entering the office, Julian closed the door. She then lets Ark and Lisa sit on the sofa while she also sits down.

Sitting on an old but well-groomed sofa, Ark and Lisa looked relaxed. They are not worried or nervous. Staring at Julian, Ark said, "Tell me, Julian."

"First of all, I'm sorry for not hosting you. Even if you want, a glass of water and a diluted porridge may not meet your taste buds. So I didn't do it.

As you know, now I have more members because of the many small groups that want to become our branch. To be honest, the supplies we exchanged for you guys are still a bit lacking. Especially because many small groups come every week to exchange supplies.

So, can you guys supply more food, Ark?"

"I can add to it, but not by much. I think there's a reason why you're taking out too much supplies. Example .... purchase mutated animal eggs?"

Hearing Ark's words, Julian's expression became solemn. After a while, he let out a long breath.

"Indeed, because of you, many large groups are flocking to solve the mystery of beast taming.

Many failures happened. I thought your words might be right. It all depends on luck. But we didn't give up. The more trials, the more chances of 'luck' appear."

"If that's what you want, it's up to you." Ark shrugged while answering flatly. "By the way, it seems that you guys have also tried to develop agriculture."

"Yes. We did try to develop a farm with some plant seeds found. It's just, a lot of trouble happened.

The land is less fertile. The plant grows long enough. It is difficult to get water even though it does not need water that is too clean. Moreover, the longer the more mutated beasts try to cause trouble."

"I understand."

You could say, they could develop the farm very smoothly!

"By the way, don't you guys have any further research to incubate the beasts to conquer, Ark?"

"Call me 'Hades', Julian. For your question, the answer is no.

Black Doberman and Husky. You think they hatched from eggs?"

The corner of Julian's lips twitched before shaking his head.

"I really don't know how you guys do it. Imperial Tiger and Black Panther imitate what you guys are doing. They sacrificed enough people to break through the lair of mutated wolves and grey hounds. Only, they suffered a total loss.

There are absolutely no children that can be conquered!"

"They are brave enough." Ark nodded.

"That's why I chose to try the egg. Not only me, but many large and medium groups tried it. Even after some groups disbanded due to losses or accidents.

You really don't want to try it? I mean, you've conquered some animals. It seems your success rate is quite high."

"only seven. One Black Doberman and six huskies."

"just?" julian said with a twitching lip.

If Ark's words were heard by the higher-ups of the Imperial Tiger or Black Panther, they would have already vomited blood from anger. Those people had conducted many experiments and suffered great losses without subduing a single beast!

"After you said that, I became more interested. Conquer more mutated animals, will you?" Ark stroked his chin, seemingly quite interested.

In Ark's mind, several beasts began to appear that still had the possibility of being conquered. At the very least, he could still try it without fear of loss. There is no need to rely on luck.

"Since you agree to increase the amount of supplies to trade, let me show you where we hatching and conquest experiments."

Hearing Julian's words, Ark nodded as he muttered, "Quite interesting."

"Before that, could you see and comment on our garden, Hades?"

"Good." Ark easily agreed.

Julian got up from his chair. After that, he went out of the room together with Ark and Lisa. After coming out, Berto also followed them.

First of all, they went down to the first floor and then went to the back of the building. In the backyard, Julian showed me a place that could hardly be called a garden. Some corn grows infertile. There are also some tuber plants with yellowed leaves.

"What do you think of our garden, Hades?"

"Pff!" Lisa looked down while holding back a laugh.

There are a lot of people who have heard Lisa. They seemed displeased, especially the Silver Cross members who guarded and cared for the garden. But they did not dare to protest at all because there was Hades who was very respected and feared by the survivors in this city.

Unlike Lisa who wanted to laugh and mock, Ark instead came forward. He then crouched down then took out a handful of soil. After feeling it, he then threw it away.

The young man stood up while cleaning his hands. Looking towards Julian, he then said.

"This help is not free. I want all the information about the eggs you guys hatched instead."

Looking at Ark's indifferent eyes, Julian knew that the man had a better solution for the Silver Cross' 'garden. So in the end he said.

"Then ... let's make a deal!"
