Apocalypse Regression's

Apocalypse Regression's
The Sword of Sufferings

Arriving at the center of government, Ark along with twelve other people were immediately invited in.

"It's rare for you to visit, Ark. Is there a problem?"

Looking at the visiting Ark, Julian couldn't help but ask.

"Just ask your wife who you've been worrying about."

Ark said in a flat tone. He then directly sat on the chair, leaning back while taking off his mask before sighing deeply. After that, he looked at Julian and said again.

"In addition, there are important things that we must do now."

"Is there a serious problem, Ark?"

Hearing Ark's words clearly made Julian worried. After thinking hard, he finally remembered something.

"You mean ... the existence of the giant creature?"

"That's not entirely wrong."

Ark massaged his temple. It seemed that the young man was a bit tired and dizzy as the more and more problems accumulated.

"Then what do you mean?"

"It's better that you send some people to watch the border area of the city. If there's anything awkward, you can call me right away.

Of course, the Sword of Sufferings would also act. We'll also ask Joseph to help keep an eye on the city's border area."

Julian looked at Ark with a complicated expression on his face. He clearly knew that the handsome young man was hiding something. But he did not ask her for fear Ark was offended and made the relationship between the three groups become increasingly tense.

"I will" said Julian.

"Thank you." Ark nodded lightly. "Then let's take care of the government. It seems you're still flabby as usual."

Julian felt a little embarrassed after hearing Ark's words. Although security was quite developed and no evil groups dared to emerge like before, the situation was still quite chaotic.

The man looked at Ark with a complicated expression.

"Do you have any advice, Ark?" ask Julian.

"First of all, you have gathered many new members. So just make them soldiers. After all, those people had been trained by Joseph.

Second, I suggest creating a small administrative group of members loyal to you from the start. Give them an important task.

Third, regarding the second, the important task was to register everyone. More precisely, a population census where you have to count the number of people in the new government along with their data. It may be a bit complicated, but it is still useful.

Fourth, if anyone refuses to register, throw them out and do not subsidize food. Only registered members can get it. Although it makes the public angry, but it is still important so that you can get to know them better and also control them.

To the fifth, create a point system. Once the person becomes a "resident", they can start working to earn points. With those points, they could exchange food, and other things. Limit food and beverage subsidies to three days. Make them work if they want to fill their stomachs. Remember, Julian! Nothing is free in this world! Especially in a world as chaotic as this!

As long as you can do those five basic points that I mentioned, the foundation of the new government should start to form better. Once developed again, you can strengthen it and build it higher."

Not only Julian, but everyone in the room was stunned by Ark's words. Although the idea is quite crude and patching here and there with violence and emphasis on society. But with some of these points, the government can clearly be run better.

Julian looked at Ark with a complicated expression. After a while, he finally said.

"Ark, I think you're better suited to lead than I am. Wouldn't it be better if you—"

"I don't have time to take care of humanity and talk about human feelings, Julian.

I also don't have time to play house-and-house and kick some bad guy's face in."

Without looking at Julian, Ark's eyes flashed coldly. Taking a deep breath, he then explained frankly.

I'm gonna drag a bunch of fools out and cut their throats and hang them on the government office wall.

Leave some people obedient and no longer try to make trouble. If it were like that, hundreds of people would probably die in no time."

Ark then glanced at Julian with a slightly mocking smile.

"I'm sure it's something you don't want to see, right?"

***

After talking to Julian and staying at Silver Cross headquarters one night, Ark and his comrades immediately returned.

The way they came back was obviously quite rushed. This made the Silver Cross officials confused as well. Julian also reported it to Joseph.

Two days later, everyone was instantly startled by the sudden move made by the Sword of Sufferings.

In contrast to the conditions like before where they closed themselves off, quite a number of Sword of Sufferings members came out of the headquarters to look for something. No one knows what they are looking for.

Within the Sword of Sufferings office, Ark and the core members of the group gathered. They all stared at the leader with a serious face.

"Has not been found?" ask Ark.

"Not yet, Brother." Lisa said in a confused tone. "What are we really looking for? Shouldn't we be more worried about the existence of giant monsters outside the city?"

"Is that so?" Ark raised his eyebrows.

According to his memory, after the appearance of the Nature Guardian, there would be another creature that appeared. Not just one but many. So much so that people had to flee. Get out of this city and find another city to live in.

Everyone in the room looked serious. Some of them, like Jay and Old Franky, find it strange. To them, Ark was a very calm and indifferent person. Even when facing the waves of monsters, the overgrowth of some mutated beasts, and other things, he was still calm.

As for now, the young man seemed to be somewhat paranoid.

For them, obviously nothing happened. However, it seemed that Ark was a little worried about the sudden appearance of a powerful mutated beast. They believe Ark became paranoid due to the appearance of a giant beast that should not exist.

Geck! Geck! Geck!

"Lake in!" said Ark.

The meeting room door opened, the figure of Draco who only had one hand entered the room. Everyone obviously knew him very well because that man was the former chairman of the Third Scars. Not to mention, even though Draco lost one of his hands .. he is still strong!

"What's up, Draco? Is there any progress?"

Hearing Ark's question, Draco nodded. After that, he said.

"Leon, bring that thing in."

After Draco's words were done, everyone immediately turned their eyes to the door. Just then, Leon's displeased voice sounded.

"Can you stop ruling me? We're partners, I'm not your subordinate."

Leon seemed dissatisfied. But he still entered the room and placed a large enough object on the table.

BRUK!

Everyone stared at the object on the table. Just then, Ark's eyes instantly narrowed.

'They really are here!'
