Apocalypse Regression's
Forest and Mountains

“Hey, although the desert is outrageous .. isn't the mountain range that appears suddenly excessive?”

Seeing the green mountains spread far ahead of them, Jay could not help but complain. The man turned his eyes to Ark.

“Are you guys where we're going, Ark?”

“The turning path is obviously too far away. Although more dangerous, we will break through to the front.”

Ark drew a rough plan of mountains on the ground with wood. The young man then made a line that passed through the images of the forest and mountains.

“Ugh! I really didn't expect there would be mountains like this. If it wasn't for our friendship, I would've thought you were going to mislead me.

After all, the road to the city should not be this far and dangerous.”

Jay whispered softly. He clearly knew that his best friend was leaving because of him.

Although they did carry out expedition missions to make maps and record information about the area outside the city, but their main purpose was obviously to go to his hometown. Although he looked careless, the man was not too stupid and insensitive.

“We're back.”

After descending to a lower place, Ark immediately approached the line of soldiers he was carrying. The young man immediately gave a firm order.

“Source of clean water has been found. As long as Huginn and Muninn patrol to check the surrounding area, we will go find a suitable place to camp.”

“Ya, Chairman!” answer them in unison.

The Sword of Sufferings army led by Ark marched forward neatly. In the front row, many people used special scythes and axes to cut through shrubs and small trees.

Members will take turns opening the way. Although tired, but they did not slow down at all.

After a while, they finally arrived at a fairly open place not far from the water source. However, they did not set up a tent.

Following Ark's orders, people instantly checked the situation to make sure there was no danger.

Checking the grass and trees, making sure no group of mutated beasts lived around the place. They also check the density of the soil, making sure it is not so muddy because sometimes such an open space can be a former swamp or suction mud.

After making sure everything was safe, Ark immediately ordered everyone to do their own work.

The artisans immediately went to find a suitable wood used as a framework tent. Yes, because they do not want to carry excessive loads, they do not carry heavy tent skeletons at all.

Due to the presence of forests with a lot of materials to make the skeleton, they only carry rope made of fiber, and cloth as a cover. Of course, they did not forget to bring a pedestal.

The group focused more on bringing food, weapons, and various equipment. Things that are more important to them all.

After three hours, the artisans managed to set up the tent with the help of the soldiers. The cooks have also prepared ingredients for cooking.

“It's been two weeks, but we're still a long way from the destination. May need one more month for travel, maybe almost two months?” muttered Jay who was standing beside Ark while watching the people.

“More precisely, 13 days.” Ark.

Although it was almost two weeks on the way, they had not gotten much leads. However, that does not mean they do not benefit.

In this time, the 200 level 2 warriors the Ark had brought along had been forged with combat experience. Although they have yet to break through the restrictions due to the lack of poreons, they are more reliable than ever.

Moreover, half of the workers had broken through level 2. There was also more important news, namely Roxanne who broke through level 4 and the beautiful assassins who broke through level 3.

So, within this group were one level 5 person and three level 4 people. Coupled with the level 3 assassins and 200 trained level 2 warriors, they were considered to be a powerful lineup.

They were already considered to be extremely strong, but Ark still remained vigilant. Strong does not mean invincible. There were stronger beings and a more cruel realm.

In the face of the forces of nature, they were nothing at all.

“What are you doing there, Jay?”

“Ah! Sorry, I just took a break.”

Hearing Mona's voice, Jay who was standing casually next to Ark immediately replied in an embarrassed tone. He immediately went to help.

Just then, several black figures rushed towards the Ark. They stopped behind him and knelt in unison.

“Small areas around have been carefully inspected, Mr.”

Hearing that, Ark looked over. Looking towards Roxanne and her comrades, she nodded lightly.

“Good work, all of you. Is there a problem?”

“There are absolutely no dangerous animals, sir. However, we found some strange clues.”

“Weird prompt?” ask Ark.

“Ya.” Roxanne nodded. “In the vicinity of this forest is too quiet. Although there were enough mutated insects, but their numbers were not many and the levels were low. I think, for a strategic place like this ... a bit strange?”

Ark was silent for a moment. Looking towards Roxanne, the young man's eyes flashed. Without changing his expression, he immediately said.

“That's great, Roxanne. It seems your observations are getting better. Did you find any other clues?”

“Ya!”

“Oh?” Ark tilted his head. “Is there something?”

“We found a strange carcass.”

“Does pollute the environment or something?”

“No.” Roxanne shook her head. “Only, his body is completely dry.”

“Dry? You mean ... like vacuumed dry?” ask Ark.

“Ya,” replied Roxanne.

Not only Roxanne, but her comrades also nodded with serious expressions on their faces.

“Take me to that place.”

“Good!” answer them in unison.

Seeing the standing figure then rushing away, Ark immediately followed.

After a while, they finally arrived at the location.

On the edge of the forest, Ark saw a huge elephant body full of feathers. It feels like a mammoth, but a little bigger.

The creature's body appears to be completely drained, leaving only bones, skin, and fur. Seeing the position of the mammoth's body, Ark raised his eyebrows.

‘As it were, before dying ... he tried to escape from this place?’ thought Ark without saying it.

Ark stroking chin. Given the various possibilities, the young man's expression became rather bad. Although not the mammoth is only a new possibility of breaking level 3, and the opponent does not endanger himself. However, the young man felt that the various creatures that appeared within his head were dangerous to his troops.

“We will check the river.”

Without explaining much, Ark immediately gave the order. The young man then left followed by Roxanne and her comrades.

At the river, they checked. However, the result is nil. There is absolutely no strangeness there.

This made Ark breathe a sigh of relief. Just then, Huginn and Muninn's voices sounded.

Looking towards the two birds in the distance, the young man muttered softly.

“It appears they found something.”
