Apocalypse Regression's
The Bad Joke

Mr. Adolf kept walking, ignoring the panicked-looking people. Most of them are used to a comfortable life. With their status, those people worked less compared to the other members. So when the chaos ensued, Mr Adolf who did not support such a decision ignored them. He immediately went to the front yard.

Up there, Mr Adolf saw a scene that could be spelled out. Sighing deeply, the middle-aged man pulled out his sword then said.

“Do you feel satisfied after killing many people, Young Man?”

In the front yard, there were a lot of headless corpses. In the middle of it all, there appeared the figure of a young man standing in bloodstained clothes. His breathing rose and fell uncontrollably, seemingly satisfied but also terrified by what he had done.

The young man, Evans turned his head towards Mr. Adolf.

“You are finally here,” Evans said in a hoarse voice.

“Are you satisfied, Young Man?”

Hearing that question, Evans was stunned. He did not immediately reply, but instead regulated his breathing. Staring at Mr. Adolf, the young man asked.

“You think I'll be satisfied with just this?”

“Jadi ..” Adolf's expression turned cold. “You intend to kill innocent people?”

“Not guilty?”

Evans stunned. After a while, the young man laughed out loud. It was completely different from the figure of the calm and somewhat timid young man before. With a ferocious expression, he patted his own chest loudly while shouting.

“While they hugged women in warm beds, many brothers were cold and hungry while on duty out there!”

“When they eat voraciously and complain of easy work, many brothers fight on the front lines and die there!”

“You said that we all took refuge under you to fight against the Crux of Shadow? STOP MAKING JOKES THAT AREN'T FUNNY!”

“I AND MY BROTHERS WHO HAVE BET THEIR LIVES TO PROTECT MICE, PESTS LIKE YOU!”

“I AM TOO FULL TO EAT THE PROMISE YOU KEEP SAYING! SO, THAT'S ENOUGH!”

Evans opened both hands wide. Gazing towards the Spirit of Fire headquarters with red eyes, he once again shouted.

“I WILL TAKE WHAT SHOULD BE MINE!”

“I WILL FREE THE PEOPLE YOU FOOLED! START NOW ...”

“NO ONE NEEDS TO SACRIFICE JUST TO FEED THE DIRTY MICE!”

Hearing Evans' cries, many people originally intended to fight petrified on the spot. Looking towards the young man who was fighting alone with them, those people felt ashamed. Seeing many brothers die just to protect the people who were hiding like cowardly rats, their eyes turned red.

“SUFFICIENT!”

One by one people started dropping their weapons. Other than a few team captains or people who had a close relationship with the higher-ups, almost all of the soldiers dropped their weapons. The men then chose to sit on the ground and raise their hands as a form of surrender. It seems Evans' words made them move.

“So so ..”

Seeing Evans' insanity, Mr Adolf was not at all angry. Instead, a relieved expression appeared on the middle-aged man's face. He took a deep breath and said.

“So my choice to save everyone was wrong, huh?”

“It's not wrong. It's just, the way you treat them in a different way because they are officials and your friends is wrong. If you want to save them, you have to make them realize their place.

In this chaotic world, everyone has to start from the same starting line so they can appreciate each other

An indifferent voice sounded. Just then, everyone immediately turned their heads and looked at the cloaked figure sitting on the roof while looking at the scene below without changing his expression. It seems that what is happening down there has absolutely nothing to do with it.

“Yes. Here I will speak to you as a fellow leader.

First, how to gather people who have something in common that hates Crux of Shadow is indeed appropriate. But there was a mistake. You didn't filter it at all. Whether it's a rat tie, a robber, a thief, and all other random people, you accept them all without any choice.

Second, you are too nailed to the number of members and followers of the Crux of Shadow. They obviously win quality and quantity, but you foolishly accept everyone. I think it's better to accept a few suitable people and develop secretly. That way, development will be more assured. Even if you don't know when, there's a chance to turn around.

Third, as a leader, you fail because you cannot control your own people. The former officials who disobeyed, the ordinary people who did not trust you because you helped the officials. From what I see, you are indeed a match as a soldier, but still too bad as a leader.

Fourth, you rely too much on yourself. If you take care of the third problem, this kind of thing shouldn't have to happen. Yes .. if you want to see an example. Maybe like this?”

Ark snapped his fingers. Just then, the sound of falling objects was heard. Many people's bodies fell into the courtyard, and most of them were captured officials. The number was almost fifty people, mixed with men and women.

Just then, twenty-two robed figures stood on the second floor porch. They stood outside the buildings around the main square. Looking at the people who appeared, many Spirit of Fire members felt fear. Ark's voice was heard in their ears.

“They're my family. They trust me and I trust them. For a task that I myself do not need to step in, they will do for me. Of course, if they can't do it, as chairman ...

I'll do it myself.”

“So that's the reason why a strong group leader like you advanced to the front line himself and left the main headquarters, huh?”

Adolf looked towards the Ark. He was still standing firm, completely unafraid of knowing the end for himself.

“Evans. Do it with your own hands. This was a task that the Spirit of Fire chief should have done long ago. Now, let him see what to do to deal with people like this.”

Ark ignored Adolf's question and told Evans to execute the people his subordinates had brought before. Right then, Evans immediately advanced with a cold expression on his face.

In front of the eyes of the many people and the beseeching higher-ups, Evans raised his sword high and began to kill every higher-ups, whether male or female.

After killing all of them, Evans whose entire body was covered with blood walked towards Mr. Adolf. Standing in front of the middle-aged man, he asked.

“Are there any last words, Mr Adolf?”

“Can I ask for help? If you can, please forgive my daughter for her innocence and .. please guide the Spirit of Fire people.”

Adolf said calmly. Not at all afraid, even a relieved expression appeared on his face. It seemed like the chairman's word had indeed burdened him all along.

Evans' body trembled slightly. Without saying anything, he gritted his teeth then swung his sword. Immediately beheaded the middle-aged man in front of him.

After that, Evans fell to his knees. The young man trembled, seemingly relieved that the grudges of many of his brothers had been avenged. But he also felt fear for killing people he considered innocent.

Ark did not care about the sight at all. He let Evans get used to it. Merely, his expression suddenly changed when he saw many people emerging from the tunnel.

At first, Ark was still quite calm as it did not think that the Crux of Shadow would exert all of its strength to fight the Spirit of Fire. However his expression instantly changed as he looked at the figure leading the army.

“This is really a bad joke,” muttered Ark,

The young man then raised his hand then gave a stern instruction.

“Everyone, prepare yourself. As long as there is a gap ..”

Having a serious expression on his face, Ark added.

“Go away from this place immediately!”
