Apocalypse Regression's
Playing Aggressive

After writing a letter and sending it through Huginn and Muninn, Ark immediately called three people to discuss. They are Evans, Draco, and Leon.

“Sit.”

They chose a rather random place but were quite far from the hideout headquarters. Four people including Ark were sitting on top of a huge rock. The other three people looked at Ark with a serious expression on his face.

“Is there something, Brother?” ask Evans.

“Of course there are. If not, why am I calling you?”

Hearing his brother's flat words, Evans was silent. Two others shook their heads.

“Evans, do you think you can develop even more in the next week. As you know, the hundreds of soldiers below you have still substandard quality. Let alone to fight those who have received strength, against ordinary people they must be quite a hassle.”

Seeing the serious expression on his brother's face, Evans nodded firmly.

“Tan easy, Brother. I will definitely train them hard!”

Ark looked at his sister for a while then nodded lightly. Although it could be a little helpful, in fact he did not really expect much from them. Rather than expecting something from them, the young man only wanted his sister to grow faster by the pressure on his shoulders.

Ark glanced towards the other two people. Having a serious expression, he said.

“We must take care of Crux of Shadow as soon as possible because if left.

Hearing Ark's words, the two people's expressions instantly became heavier. Speaking of tragedy, they would definitely remember the attack of the ant army. If it was not stopped in time, the creature would obviously be a huge problem.

“What should we do, Chairman?” ask Draco.

“Just tell me your orders, Boss!” added Leon.

Ark looked at them all. After taking a deep breath, he then said.

“We must gather a group that goes against Crux of Shadow then immediately attack them.”

Ark's words instantly made the expressions of the three of them even more solemn. Because they believe, big things will happen soon.

***

Seven days just passed.

Standing on top of a building, Ark looked towards the city with a cold expression behind his mask. Seeing how serious the young man was, the people gathered behind him did not dare to say a word at all.

“Those people are very careful. It won't be easy.”

Ark took a deep breath. In this one week, there's too much going on. There was good news, but more bad news he got.

First, Saito lost contact. Although his life should not have been threatened, it appears to have been found and is now on the run. Arguably, for a while Ark lost one of its most important hands.

Second, the development of the new group was longer than scheduled because Evans was less ruthless. If following the previous plan of sacrificing them to fight against the Crux of Shadow, now it could not be done because Evans was so concerned about them.

Third, Ark planned to attract the enemies of the Crux of Shadow as allies in order to directly carry out large-scale attacks without having to fuss over the kerocos and fanatical devotees of the sect. But it was a pity, the group leader of the Crux of Shadow seemed to have anticipated his actions.

Now, most of the groups that had previously opposed the Crux of Shadow were violently suppressed. In fact some have been absorbed into the group in the name of holy war, defeating criminals, and accepting people willing to change their stance. Arguably, those crazy fanatics do it all in the name of justice. Something is wrong, but they think it is right.

That's what brain-dead extremists do!

Fourth, the area around the Crux of Shadow ownership area was heavily guarded so it was now a little harder to find food for hundreds of refugees. Forced them to hunt in suburban areas, even forests to find something to eat.

“It seems I'm still too soft.”

After saying that, Ark smiled coldly behind his mask.

“Draco!”

“Ya, Chairman!” reply Draco.

“In your opinion, what will Crux of Shadow do after this?”

Hearing that question, Draco pensively pensively. After thinking of some possibilities, he chose an answer that would most likely be carried out by the Crux of Shadow then replied.

“Most likely they will expand their strength by continuing to annex other groups. If they keep pressing, it could be that the whole city is united under one group.”

“You're right.” Ark nodded. “Then what do you think we should do?”

Draco thought again. Unlike before, now he thought for quite a while. After thinking about it carefully, the man replied in a doubtful tone.

“Maybe we can hide in a dangerous place marked as a red zone like in the previous city. Otherwise, we should retreat to the previous city to gather troops and conduct a large-scale war between cities?”

“Your answer is good, but we cannot use it because the risk is quite high.

First, we may be able to hide in the red zone for a while, but not forever. If they bring the whole city together and then continue to surround some area outside the red zone, we can't get out. In the end, we'll get stuck trying to get out.

In addition, retreating to another city might be a pretty good option. But it also has a high risk. We want to save enough humans in order to survive, in the event of a large-scale war, thousands of people will die in vain, maybe more than ten thousand,”

Hearing that, Draco and the other members nodded with dark expressions. The first is suicide and the last is excessive sacrifice, a little beyond their own limits. As for Leon, he was just idling in a daze, completely clueless as to what people were saying.

“Then what should we do, Chairman?” ask Draco.

“We will do crazy things they won't think of.”

“Hal crazy?”

Hearing Ark's words, many people felt confused. Leon himself was quite excited because no matter what happened, he was greatly enjoying something as crazy as a ferocious fight.

“If get heavy pressure like this, it is normal to hide or escape, right?”

“Ya.” Everyone nodded.

“Then we will do the opposite.”

Hearing that, everyone was initially confused. After a few seconds, they were all stunned. Thinking of what the chief might do, they became doubtful.

“You mean ..” Draco was a little incredulous.

“As you think. While they think we will retreat to catch our breath, we will attack with all our might. This attack is certainly very risky because it can be considered a suicide mission. After all, only a madman would attack the Crux of Shadow in this kind of time. So ...”

Ark turned to look at his subordinates and asked.

“Do you guys want to join this crazy banquet?”

“This time ... let's play more aggressively!”
