Apocalypse Regression's

Apocalypse Regression's
The Great Change

In the morning, a month and a half later.

On the streets of the elite residential area, there was the figure of Ark who walked followed the figure of a white wolf-like creature. The creature was slightly over a meter tall. It's almost at Lisa's height!

The creature is a pet raised by Ark a month and a half ago, Finn.

"Prepare at your place, Finn."

Hearing Ark's words, Finn howled then cheerfully walked dozens of meters forward. After which, he looked at his master while sticking out his tongue. Seems so excited.

In Ark's hand, there appeared a ball as big as a takraw football made from the webbing of Devil's Vines.

"Finn ..catch!"

Swooshes!

The ball sped, Finn looked excited. He jumped up and caught it. Biting the ball in his mouth, the creature ran towards the Ark. He put the ball in front of his master then ran to his place.

Taking the ball, Ark raised the corner of his lips. This was a routine he did every morning together with Finn. Play throw catch ball.

But this game is a little unusual.

Wh why? That was because, each Ark throw was not only extremely fast, but also extremely powerful!

Cut through the air and hit it hard. If it was an ordinary zombie, Ark might have blown its head off with the toss. Finn is different. The creature can catch every throw well.

Unlike his five brothers, Finn grew up faster. Not only did he have a bigger body, but Finn was also more intelligent. So Ark trained him pretty hard.

Of course, when it was first practice, Ark did not throw a ball that strong.

"Finn ..catch!"

Swooshes!

The Devil's Vines' woven balls shot out like big bullets. Finn jumped up and caught it right. Such an incident continued to repeat for nearly fifteen minutes. Ark continued to throw in random directions around Finn, training the creature's reflexes.

"We're out of the usual antidote, Ark! Am I allowed to take what you specially kept?"

Hearing that, Ark immediately turned around and said in a flat tone.

"Take it if you want me to break your arm, Jay."

Jay's figure came toward the Ark. The man wore a sour expression when he heard the words of his best friend.

"You haven't given up?" ask Ark.

Hearing the words of his best friend, the corner of Jay's lips twitched. He immediately pointed towards the young man while shouting.

"Where might I give up! A little more, I will definitely be acknowledged!"

"Yes. That's what I heard a month and a half ago."

"..."

Ark looked into Jay's hands. Both of his arms were wrapped in thin bandages. Many bite scars and scratches that looked terrible on his hands.

Ark was not stingy at all to his subordinates. Ever since the six puppies joined, he told the core members of the Sword of Sufferings that they could try taming one as a peer. But it must be without coercion. He was afraid that the puppies would go crazy and even antagonize humans if their treatment (members of Sword of Sufferings) was wrong.

Except for Stacy who doesn't really like pets, all of the core members try to melt the hearts of the five puppies. After all, the thought of being a wolf-riding cavalry clearly seemed incredible!

It's just, things aren't going so smoothly. Except for Kurona and Shirona who could somehow subdue two shy puppies, the other three puppies had not been conquered until now.

Old Franky even theorized that the males were harder to conquer. Yep. Of the six puppies, there are three males and three females. Incidentally, Finn and the two puppies conquered by Kurona and Shirona are females. So the theory emerged.

Of course it's just a theory. In reality, Ark itself was quite close to the six puppies. Even closer than Lisa who claimed to be The Legendary Shadow Tamer!

Ark still clearly remembered the blank expression on the short girl's face. It seems to question his identity, who the real Tamer is. After all, except with Debby, she's not familiar with any other animals!

Even Ark has given all the puppies a name. That's because the members, specifically Jay and Lisa make weird nicknames for them. Like 'super grey tornadoes' or such outrageous names.

The Kurona and Shirona pets are named Luna and Starla. The three male Ark puppies are named Michi, Nike, and Sansa.

Unlike the other members who retreated after being rejected, Jay himself never gave up on conquering Michi. That is why sometimes the puppies are upset and bite the man who is considered a bully.

As for Ark, after gradually training his anti venom skill by drinking poison from the weakest until now could withstand the intermediate poison, he was not afraid of poisoning at all. Being able to play with the puppies casually, made some people jealous and cursed at him every day.

"You better give up, Jay."

"No! After failure, there will be success! As long as you don't give up, there is hope!

Everything will disappear when you choose to give up!"

"..."

Ark no longer persuaded Jay. Looking at his friend, he asked.

"Have the three of them prepared themselves?"

Hearing Ark's question, Jay nodded as he replied.

"Yes. Stacy, Natasha, and Darin had prepared themselves. They have completed the second evolution. It's been three days, so they should have gotten used to it."

"What about Jimmy and Roxanne?"

"After a month and a half, they had already completed the first evolution. The other new team members had also been half finished, consuming five level one evolution herbs."

Ark nodded lightly. In addition to training, he also gave an evolution potion ration to the new members. As vice-chairmen of the team, Jimmy and Roxanne get two potions each week. As for the other members, they get one every week.

So, after a month and a half, Jimmy and Roxanne have completed the first evolution. However, Ark had yet to inform them of the existence of Miracle Root.

"So, after the three of them, you will nurture how many people? The amount of potion slightly increased, didn't it?"

"Yes. At least enough for four. Same timeframe, one and a half months."

"By the way, can I ask, Ark?"

"Say."

"Other than me, aren't you more familiar with Kurona and Shirona? Why not choose them at the beginning? I mean, although the other members are loyal, the two girls are more loyal, right?"

"It makes sense."

Ark nodded lightly. He felt that Jay was no longer as blunt as before. Glancing at his best friend, the young man explained.

"Stacy needs the power to fully control the Violet Sword team. So at least the level should be quite high.

Natasha needs strength to guard the main base. As for Darin, he had to look after Old Franky and all the research. Not only that, I also often sent him out to be a representative of the Dark Caravan, so it needs strength to ensure his safety.

In conclusion, I do trust Kurona and Shirona more. Even want to spoil them more. However, I still have to do what I should. Dividing manpower and resources according to his needs."

Jay looked at his best friend. The man suddenly laughed. After a while, he wiped away the tears as he said.

"You've really changed, Ark."

Ark glanced at Jay with a strange expression.

"What?"

"No. It's nothing!"

Jay grinned before turning away. As he walked away, his voice sounded again.

"I'll tell the three to prepare to go to the city park with you tomorrow. In exchange, I'll take your poison-bidding potion."

"..."

Ark stared at Jay's back which was getting smaller in the distance. He was silent, not answering at all. But the young man was also a little curious.

I wonder why Jay is suddenly happy.
