A Will Eternal – Chapter 564

Chapter 564: A Pair of Destiny ….

Book 5: The Peak of Life!

Wildlands are so big, so big that few people know their true limits. However, most cultivators who understood a thing or two about them could guess.

If the entire world was circular, then the Heavenspan Sea would be in the middle, with four great rivers stretching from there in each cardinal direction. Rivers, rivers, and even deltas are all like branches of trees growing from a river.

The area where the Heavenspan River existed was the Heavenspan Realm. The places where the river does not exist occupy about half of the ‘’ circle that makes up the world. And that location is known as .. Wildlands.

There is even a famous saying: Everything outside the Great Wall is the Wildlands!

In the area between the four great rivers were the four main parts of the Great Wall, which acted like gates, keeping the Wildlands locked outside, and the Heavenspan Realm sealed inside.

If one could look down from high enough, the four sections of the Great Wall would make something like a large circle.

To be more precise, there are two circles. The inner circle is the Heavenspan Realm, and the outer circle is the Wildlands. Theoretically, if one continued to walk long enough, they could walk in a large circle past the Wildlands. Thus, it was also possible to reach one of the four great rivers without setting foot on the ship. [1]

**

Somewhere far away in the Wildlands, there was a boundless, dense to the extreme forest, filled with countless towering trees that formed a huge canopy overhead. Because of that canopy, only a scattering of sunlight pierced through the rotting marshland below.

Huge forests like this exist in various locations in the Wildlands. Although such areas did not possess the spiritual power of the Heavenspan River, they were still full of life. In fact, whether it was plant life or the local savages, everything seemed free from certain constraints brought by spiritual power, and hence extremely large and formidable.

One large tree in this forest had bones strewn beneath it, many of which had bite marks on them. There were also scattered feathers of flying creatures. In the middle of all the bones, leaning against the tree itself, was a person. His hair was disheveled and tied up, and he devoured the carcass of a small creature. His crackling sound of chewing was terrifying as they echoed into the forest; apparently, he was so hungry that he did not care whether he ate his flesh or bones, or both!

Considering all the bones around this person, it seemed like he had eaten quite a lot during this meal. It was a truly terrifying sight ….

Not too far away, under another big tree, there was a corpse! Clearly, the corpse had been lying rotting there for weeks.

It was so withered that it was difficult to see his facial features, but based on the clothes, it was a cultivator in life. There was even a bag holding lying next to the corpse.

The one who lived devouring raw meat was none other than Bai Xiaochun.

As for the corpse ....even Bai Xiaochun did not know who it was.

Finally, Bai Xiaochun noticed a young man lying on the ground at the base of another nearby tree. At that moment, the young man had not died. He stared at Bai Xiaochun in disbelief for a long time, none of them talking, until he finally leaned his head against the ground and died.

Seeing the young man die had frightened Bai Xiaochun, but at that moment, he was too weak to make a move. The emotions of the moment, combined with his exhaustion, had driven him into unconsciousness.

He hasn't been up for almost a week. Unfortunately, he was still too weak to make a move back then. His injuries were truly severe, and he had been pushed to the brink of death, making him completely empty of any kind of spiritual power. To recover would take time. After all, he did not even have enough spiritual power to open his handbag.

He was surrounded by the corpses of various wild animals, which he did not remember seeing him there when he had fainted earlier. Clearly, the animals had gotten too close to the Eternal Parasol, and had been killed by the pressure it emitted.

In addition, the power of the umbrella also protected the corpse of the young man in another nearby tree.

“It's a good thing that I ended up pulling Eternal Parasol out of my bag to hold instead of something else. Otherwise ... I'll wake up to find myself eaten. " He let out a bitter sigh, his heart filled with anger.

“To think that an outstanding great general like myself would fall to this level…. You'll get what comes to you one day, Grandma Red-Dust! I'll show you how amazing Lord Bai is! And to you Chen Hetian, you and I are now sworn enemies!

"Ai. I was seriously injured this time …. ” Bai Xiaochun wanted to cry, and at the same time, felt his anger. However, he could not even turn his head, only moving his eyes to examine his unfamiliar surroundings.

Finally, he forced himself to accept his current situation, and also realized that since there was no spiritual energy, he was obviously not near the Heavenspan River. Clearly, he had been teleported to the Wildlands.

After a while, he sighed. Feeling bored, he rolled his eyes to look at the corpse lying under the tree.

Previously, it was impossible to determine what caused the young man's death. But now his complexion was pitch-black, leading to the obvious conclusion that he had been struck with a poisonous magical technique that had burned his heart and blood vessels until he died.

Suddenly, another wave of exhaustion swept over Bai Xiaochun, and he fainted again. A week or so passed before we woke up, but this time, he was able to slightly move his head. Besides, he didn't feel completely numb. In fact, he felt a slight stab of pain all over his body, almost like a needle. The feeling was somewhat unbearable, yet, he could only sigh.

"Well, at least I can feel the pain. It means I am slowly recovering. " There were more animal corpses piling up in the area now, and he was so hungry that he felt dizzy. Unfortunately, he could only move his head, nothing else. Swallowing, he lay empty there for a while before looking back at the corpse to analyze a little further.

“It looks like he was at the beginning of the foundation…. It seems like he was not transported here from the labyrinth. More like a local soul farmer. It seems like he ran away for someone or something. ” Bai Xiaochun was not too worried about that fact. After all, he had already been lying in one place for half a month without anyone passing by.

As time passed, and Bai Xiaochun continued to watch the decomposing corpses, he picked up more and more clues.

"It doesn't look like a rogue cultivator. Must be from some local cultivator clan …. "

“I remember looking at him right before he died. He looked haggard, and defiant. He must have had some aspirations in life that he never fulfilled …. "

“It looks very young. Smart and handsome, though not as much as I am. ”

He often muttered things like this to himself. After all, as he slowly recovered, he really had nothing to do except study corpses.

When he gets tired, he goes back to sleep. Finally, two months later, he was happy to learn that he could move again. The first thing he did was crawl to one of the animals that had been killed because of the Eternal Parasol.

He devoured everything with one mouthful.
