A Will Eternal – Chapter 417
Chapter 417: The Ravine of the Endless Mountains
Bai Xiaochun was currently queuing up at the teleportation portal leading to the Myriad Star Rainbow. Since he had some free time, he looked up at the three sections of the rainbow above. Recently, he had spent quite a bit of time getting more used to the setting of the Starry Sky Dao Polarity Superstars.
Those who were qualified to be listed as stars on the rainbow were the true Chosen ones who received special treatment from the sect, after all, and access to resources that far surpassed what was available to ordinary disciples. There were even special items that could only be purchased at the Myriad Star Rainbow, and only by those on the list.
Bai Xiaochun recently learned that the ordeal with fire in the seven layers of the rainbow was all extremely dangerous, and that every year, the disciples ended up dying inside them.
"That experiment with fire seems very dangerous," Bai Xiaochun thought. "I really don't understand why so many people want to participate in all those fights and things."
However, there was never a shortage of disciples willing to accept the challenge.
One of the reasons has to do with the amazing rewards available once someone is on the list. Of course, there were also rewards given for simply being on the list to begin with, such as achievement points and various rare items.
Bai Xiaochun looked at the various colors of the rainbow, and finally his eyes stopped at the top level, the purple one, and the eight stars that were there. The stars were the highest of them all, and when Bai Xiaochun realized that everyone seemed to be staring at them, he could not help but be skeptical.
"Let's see who's in the first place …." He stared at the highest star in the purple part of the rainbow, and a moment later, a name appeared in his mind.
"Zhao Tianjiao!" Bai Xiaochun's eyes widened. He had never seen someone with a name like this before, which literally meant "Chosen." It was a very domineering name, however, Bai Xiaochun could not help but mutter to himself, "Not as good as my name …."
Next, he looked at the second star in the rainbow, and moments later, another name appeared in his mind. This one is definitely a Daoist name.
"Relope!" Bai Xiaochun flinched, and once again, felt a little annoyed. “What kind of ugly name is that? Heresy scheme …. ”
With that, he moved to the third name.
"Chen Yueshan …." It was obvious that this name belonged to a female cultivator. Just as Bai Xiaochun was about to continue the list, people started pushing him from behind. The area around the Myriad Star Rainbow teleportation portal was usually quite crowded, so people were unhappy with someone blocking the way.
Looking away from the rainbow, Bai Xiaochun continued the line until he reached the teleportation portal. After disappearing, he reappeared in the Myriad Star Rainbow.
It was his first time here, but he was ready. He had obtained a map of the place in the Hall of Devil Slayers, and after confirming its location, he flew into the air.
There were cultivators everywhere, most of them came from third level rainbows either to practice cultivation or to try to break into Starry Sky Dao Polarity Superstars.
"This place is busy!" Bai Xiaochun thought in surprise. It was much louder here than in the Sky Quarter Rainbow. Bai Xiaochun even looked at some of the vending stalls that the disciples had set up to peddle various items. Such a kiosk seems to be very popular.
As for the location set aside for a special type of cultivation, almost all of them had rows of disciples waiting to enter. Some of those lines had hundreds of disciples in them, which was clearly something new to Bai Xiaochun. As he walked, he finally reached the special location set aside to plant Living Mountain Incantation.
It was a remote and clogged abyss, next to its entrance was a greenish-black stone. Sitting on a rock was a skinny middle-aged man with jaws that jutted out like an ape. His skin was so brown that it was almost black, and from a distance, he almost looked like a monkey wearing human clothes.
Bai Xiaochun blinked a few times, and could not help but stare at the strange-looking man. Clearly, he was a Core Formation cultivator, yet there was something about him that made him seem extremely strong, something that Bai Xiaochun could not use. It was as if there was a terrifying energy within him that was somehow impossible to release into the open.
However, Bai Xiaochun had a different premonition that if this man were to actually attack someone, that power would indeed erupt, and when that happened, it would, it might even be enough to fight someone at the Nascent Soul stage.
"The Starry Sky Dao Polarity Sect is really a scary place ..." he thought. "Even the random guards are really tingling." At that moment, Bai Xiaochun looked around and realized how cold and sunny this place was. No one was in line to enter, and after a while, he even wondered if he had somehow gotten lost and been in the wrong place. However, after double-checking the map, he was sure that he was in the right place.
As he stood there, the man on the stone suddenly opened his eyes and spoke in a sharp and sharp voice. “Floating Flower Valley is on the right. The Peak of Green Cliffs is on the left. The Pool of Emerald Waters is behind me. And in front was the Cliff of Martial Sealing. "
"Um, thank you, Big Brother," Bai Xiaochun replied, "but I'm actually on my way to the Ravine of Endless Mountains."
"Thank you?" said the man, looking rather shocked. After looking at Bai Xiaochun from top to bottom, his eyes suddenly sparkled.
Bai Xiaochun immediately nodded.
The man chuckled, and the look in his eyes softened. With that, he performed a spell motion with his right hand and then waved his finger at the adjacent ravine. Instantly, the abyss trembled, and then it started rippling and twisting. Suddenly, a huge stone hand protruded from the valley, over 30 meters wide. Apparently, the hand was waiting for Bai Xiaochun to step there.
The man looked back at Bai Xiaochun and said, “It has been a long time since someone planted Living Mountain Incantation.
“This is not a technique, but rather, a divine ability that focuses on being a human mountain, and thus having access to unlimited power. It was divided into four levels, those levels were Mortal Mountain, Earth Mountain, Heaven Mountain, and finally, the highest level .. Eternal Mountain!
“The key to this type of cultivation is mingle mountain. After all, the mountain has spirit, and in this abyss you will find countless mountains. Find someone who is connected to you by destiny, and then gain enlightenment from that mountain spirit. If you succeed, you can unleash the power of the Mountain of Life! " The man waved his finger, and a deafening roar filled Bai Xiaochun's ears as more information about Living Mountain Incantation flowed into his mind.
A grim expression, Bai Xiaochun clasped his hands and bowed deeply at the man.
“Thank you very much for your help, Elder Brother. Can I ask to know your honorable name? "
"You can call me .. Stonemountain!"
Stonemountain smiled faintly, then closed his eyes and went back to meditating, very much like a stone monkey.
Bai Xiaochun once again bowed, then took a deep breath and jumped into the hands of the huge rock that had stretched out from within the abyss. As soon as he did, the hand clenched, then pulled him into the abyss. A while later, the hand started to fade, and when that happened, the ripples that appeared just a moment ago faded, and the abyss looked as quiet as ever.
Bai Xiaochun's vision swam slightly, and a rumble echoed in his ears. However, all of that soon faded, and when he could see clearly, he realized with surprise that he was in a completely unknown world.
The sky was a bluish-green color, and below .. was a boundless sea of clouds, with countless mountain peaks appearing within it. Seeing so many mountain peaks stretching as far as the eye could see was indeed very surprising.
"The Ravine of Endless Mountains ..." he thought, shaken. After flying a little, he did exactly as the Stonemountain had said and started searching for the mountain connected to him based on fate.
"But how do I know we're connected by fate?" he muttered to himself, feeling somewhat confused. "Did I just find a mountain that looks good to me?"
As he flew over the sea of clouds, he looked over and over to see the charming mountain.
As Bai Xiaochun flew through the Ravine of Endless Mountains, outside in the Sky Quarter Rainbow, Song Que sat cross-legged in the immortal cave, his eyes shining brightly.
"Finally…. I finally reached the Core Formation moment! " Right now, he had many spell formations set up around him, and had already informed the hall of what he was doing. He had also purchased some medicinal pills specially designed for the Core Formation. Appearing one into his mouth, he closed his eyes and prepared to make a breakthrough.
Half a month after Song Que, Chen Manyao also started breaking through to the Core Formation!
Two days after that, Master God-Diviner ... also started making his breakthrough!
Other than Big Fatty Zhang and Xu Baocai, all of the Dao protectors who followed Bai Xiaochun to the Starry Sky Dao Polarity Sect were making efforts to break through the Core Formation.
The three in the group had already made extensive preparations. Combined with the fact that the Starry Sky Dao Polarity Sect was a river source sect with abundant spiritual energy, it made it easier for them to attempt their breakthrough. As for Chen Manyao and Master God-Diviner, the large number of merit points present in the Azure Dragon Society also had something to do with it.
As for Big Fatty Zhang, he could not approach the others in terms of preparation, but Bai Xiaochun would definitely take care of him, and had set aside many merit points for him to use. Thus, his cultivation base had now reached the great circle of Foundation Establishment.
That meant to him, the Core Formation was close!
