A Will Eternal – Chapter 1033
Chapter 1033: A First Old Friend.
The cold wind was no different than usual. However, when blowing on the three shivering bastards, they were drenched in sweat.
"Roman!" Sun Wu said without thinking. "He is truly immortal !!" The mere thought that he had bumped into an immortal creature made Sun Wu feel like crying. In fact, he was sure his life would be over soon.
"So what if he's immortal!" one of the other bastards said. "I saw an immortal a few years ago, and he was heartbroken like a pig!" Perhaps this person was confused about what he had seen in the past, or perhaps he was so frightened that he did not think clearly. Either way, he quickly took out an axe and pointed it at Bai Xiaochun's head.
"If he's immortal, we're dead anyway, so we'd better go broke!" Howling, the bastard swung the axe with all his might. When it crashed, cracking sounds could be heard as the axe hilt shattered into pieces. As for the axe blade, it might as well hit the rock, and it turned into a hazy light that whizzed back and embedded itself into the bastard's face.
Before blood could even drip from his wound, the bastard staggered backwards, and then fell onto his back, dead.
Sun Wu and the other bastards were scared out of their minds. Shouting, they turned to flee.
Frightened, they did not dare to stay in the city for one more night. After stealing some horses, they went into the night.
Back at the temple, a cold wind blew over the corpse with the head of an axe embedded in its face. Finally, blood from the wound pooled around the immobile body.
Some time passed, and Bai Xiaochun managed to open his eyes. He looked at the bamboo forest, and the corpse lay next to him, and then struggled to stand up. Upset at waking up from hunger, he stumbles into a tavern to buy alcohol again. Upon returning, she slumped against the wall, unaware of her dirty clothes and hair as she started drinking again.
Before long, alcohol allowed him to have fun, and forget painful and bitter memories.
As he drank, the sky turned dark. Immediately, a hint of dawn could be seen on the horizon, and the inked darkness began to retreat. It was at that point that Bai Xiaochun's expression flickered in disbelief. While directing his eyes to focus, he looked at the bamboo forest that was not too far away, and suddenly began to tremble.
In fact, his hands started shaking so hard that he dropped the alcohol pitcher.
There, stepping out of the bamboo, was a tall man wearing a black robe. He almost seemed to be fused with the night, wrapped in an evil energy, a ghost that turned the temple and its surroundings into an underworld hell.
The man walked over to Bai Xiaochun, loomed over him, and then sighed in regret. When he spoke, his voice sounded very ancient.
“It's still in that jug? For dong?"
"Big brother ... Giant Ghost …?" Bai Xiaochun could do little more than stare blankly at this tall man in black.
Sure enough, he was none other than the Giant Ghost King!
This was the first life companion Bai Xiaochun met after arriving in the Eternal Land!
He looked much, much older than he had in the Heavenspan Realm. He had a scar on his face; clearly, he had endured many trials in over half a year since he was transferred to the Eternal Land.
Looking extremely tired, he sat down next to Bai Xiaochun. After leaning against the temple wall, he reached out, grabbed the jug of alcohol, and took a long, hard gulp.
Bai Xiaochun suddenly jumped to his feet and sent a divine sense out into the area.
Bai Xiaochun suddenly seemed to lose the strength to remain standing. He threw himself to the ground, snatched the jug of alcohol back from the Giant Ghost King, and drank. However, it is empty. He wiggled it bit by bit to get the last drop or two, and then threw it aside.
The Giant Ghost King did not say anything.
"How did you find me?" Bai Xiaochun asked, his voice hoarse.
The Giant Ghost King produced a jug of alcohol from his bag, took a long drink, then threw it at Bai Xiaochun. "By looking for half a year!"
By the time the world collapsed, Bai Xiaochun had been severely injured due to his fight with Daoist Heavenspan, and thus lost consciousness after being teleported. However, the Giant Ghost King did not lose consciousness. He had been there to watch when Bai Xiaochun was taken away to the third immortal domain in the Emperor-Vile Dynasty, just like him.
He began his search immediately. Just like Bai Xiaochun, he had found so many corpses that he finally started to sink into bitterness and sadness. However, he had clung to his belief .. that Bai Xiaochun was still alive.
That faith drove him through the months to this day .. when he finally found Bai Xiaochun, who was banished outside the temple.
The truth was that the Giant Ghost King was in an equally bad condition as Bai Xiaochun. After the war in the Wildlands, the world has been destroyed, and his daughter is missing. He was once a mighty heavenly king in the Arch-Emperor Dynasty, but now, everything had changed.
The wife he had taken in Giant Ghost City was also nowhere to be found. And thus, the heart of the mighty Giant Ghost King finally darkened.
The people he had once mastered, and his former glory, disappeared in the blink of an eye…. They are the past. Here he was, alone in the Eternal Land.
Considering how old he was now, the idea of returning to the starting point made him sigh bitterly. Only when things seemed to hit rock bottom did he realize that the alcohol in the Eternal Land was an extraordinary thing.
This alcohol can make a man drunk .. and can also be an immortal hangover!
Bai Xiaochun drank, then gazed into the distance for a moment. Finally he said, "Did you see …?"
Convinced that the Giant Ghost King would know what he was talking about, he did not finish his sentence.
A moment passed, and then the Giant Ghost King replied. "Did I see someone else alive? You're the only one I've met so far. However, I am sure that although many people died in teleportation, there were some survivors. I saw many of them flying in the starry sky! ”
Bai Xiaochun stared silently into the night sky ….
As he did so, there were others in the other immortal territories in the Eternal Land who did the same. They were in different domains, different continents, different counties. Some were in the city, and others were in the wilderness. But they all had blood from the land of Heavenspan on their veins, and they all looked up at the unknown night sky.
They are like many stars, twinkling with their own desires, unwilling to submit to fate.
Li Qinghou's. The Patriarch Spirit Stream. Lord God-Diviner. Xu Baocai's.
Zhou Zimo's. Song Junwan's ….
The bruiser is out there too. Due to the madness that befell Bai Xiaochun, he forgot about Bruiser at the final moments of the battle. After being teleported to the Eternal Land, Bruiser found himself among strangers, and was scared. He could not sense Bai Xiaochun's aura, but he could sense some familiar fluctuations. And after searching for time, he found Song Junwan ….
It was then that he realized that the familiar fluctuations did not come from Song Junwan, but from within his stomach….
His blood was familiar, but his aura was not. Bruiser doesn't understand. However, when he saw Song Junwan's smile beaming, he knew that he had to protect her, and protect the aura within her!
Bruiser knew that sooner or later, he would find that familiar face, which he wanted to see in this foreign land ….
