Bai Xiaochun stood there, looking around attentively at the endless hourglass. Finally, he remembered what Bai Xiaochi had said about gaining Core enlightenment from the time.

"My Immemorial Time Codex must have something to do with the Time Essence" he murmured.

Originally, Bai Xiaochun had heard of Essence, but did not understand it too much. After finding the broken fan, and Bai Xiaochi, his understanding grew. Finally, he became the owner of the fan, and practiced cultivation in front of the Daoist Tower of Life and Death on the fan's face. At that moment, his understanding gradually became more complete.

However, he was still unable to understand those words.

Right now, he felt like he was standing within a true treasure, surrounded by Essence. However, his understanding was still incomplete, and thus he could not understand its meaning. It was as if he had lost a very important key.

After a moment of silence, he looked up, his eyes flashing with determination and focus.

Some of the most powerful Daoist magic that exists has to do with the flow of time. Furthermore, he realized that the space surrounding the remains seemed to have distorted and collapsed in some way. It was as if the remains themselves were evidence of a unique, strange form of power!

From what he knew, that power was what caused the bending and deviation he felt before!

It was not the power of time, it was another kind of power that he was very familiar with. As he investigated further, and the sensation of familiarity grew, his eyes opened; he could hardly believe what he was feeling!

"Gravity?" he said in shock. "How .... how is this possible!?!?"

Although there were no magical techniques he knew in the cultivation world that were specifically related to gravity, there were many magical items that wielded such power!

Bai Xiaochun had come into contact with gravity many years ago; he had once offered a pill formula to the northern edge of the Spirit Stream Sect in the trade, obtaining a set of magnetic spirit wings and protomagnetic pearls. The old woman who was the peak ruler of the Irispetal Peak had told him that if she ever got the chance, she could use both items to understand the protomagnetic power, he said, and thus study the Gravitational Repetition Sect Spiritual Sect Sect Spirit Stream Sect!
