A Will Eternal – Chapter 540
Chapter 540: The Nine Colors of Fire
Two of the three soul cultivators made a spell move, sending their two flying swords shouting in the air towards Bai Xiaochun at high speed.
Both swords had a sixfold increase in spirits, and thus, Bai Xiaochun was well aware of how dangerous they were.
Simultaneously, the pseudo-Nascent Soul cultivator started chanting an incomprehensible spell that caused the pearl floating on it to be filled with black fog. Then, an image of an evil ghost appeared, which lunged towards Bai Xiaochun with its arms outstretched.
Given how they quickly blocked all possible approaches Bai Xiaochun had to them, it was clear that this group had worked together before in the past. As they prepared to move forward, Bai Xiaochun let out a cold snort.
“You guys have a treasure that enhanced his spirit, huh? Alright me too! ” Stylishly, he pulled the black umbrella from his bag!
It was none other than the Eternal Parasol.
In the past, Bai Xiaochun's cultivation base had only allowed him to use a fraction of the power of an umbrella. But now he was in the great circle of the Gold Core stage, and although he still could not unleash his full potential, he had no trouble using it as before.
Almost in the same movement as the one he produced the umbrella, Bai Xiaochun pushed it in front of him and pushed his finger to the handle. Then, an explosion could be heard as the black umbrella opened, just in time to meet the flying sword and the misty ghost.
The two flying swords crashed into the defensive barrier which was an umbrella, and were sent spinning sideways. As for the misty ghost, it screamed and made as if it was retreating. However, that was when a strange and smiling face appeared on the surface of the black umbrella. The face began to inhale, and the ghost screamed when it was sucked. Although all of these things take time to explain, they occur at a time when it takes a spark to fly off a piece of rock.
A moment later, the three soul cultivators looked at Bai Xiaochun with expressions of complete and utter shock, and the pseudo-Nascent Soul expert was so shocked that his eyes bulged out from his head. Seeing the eight silver designs on the surface of the Eternal Parasol left him gasping for breath. But then, just a moment later, his eyes shone with ferocity, and he took advantage of the astonishment of his two friends to suddenly reach out and push them.
The faces of those two soul cultivators fell; they could never imagine that their own leader would act so ruthlessly! However their bodies were completely out of their control as they fell to Bai Xiaochun. Simultaneously, the pseudo-Nascent Soul cultivator retreated as quickly as possible.
From what he knew, this middle-aged cultivator not only possessed a powerful fleshly body, but he also possessed a deep cultivation base and shocking magical objects. He was like a wandering wolf who was absolutely certain he could move on his own. Not only was he not afraid of people ambushing him, he deliberately placed himself in the open to attract attention.
When the three soul cultivators were thrown into chaos, Bai Xiaochun closed the umbrella and took a step forward, saying, utilizing a speed so blinding that he turned into a series of shadows that instantly appeared in front of his two weaker opponents. Then, he attacked twice in a row with his right hand, hitting their chests respectively.
Screams of agony rang out, and blood erupted from the mouths of the two soul cultivators as they fell backwards like kites with the rope cut. Unexpectedly, they also began to wither as their life force turned into a white mist that swirled out from their eyes, ears, nose, and mouth, and headed towards the Eternal Parasol.
Bai Xiaochun was used to the life force consuming the Eternal Parasol, and now that he had received an eightfold increase in spirit, it was even stronger than before. However, the fact that it could be done from afar was new to him. Of course, now is not the time to reflect on new developments. Seeing that the Pseudo-Nascent Soul cultivator was trying to escape, he immediately began to chase.
When the Pseudo-Nascent Soul cultivator heard the cries of his companions, he looked over his shoulder and saw their life force extracted. Mind staggered, he said, "You are not a soul planter, you are a necromancer !!"
Bai Xiaochun was a bit surprised, but did not let it appear. A cold snort, he pushed forward with an explosive speed that clearly put him in place to catch up in a few moments. The pseudo-Nascent Soul cultivator cursed inwardly; regardless of the level of his cultivation base, he could tell from Bai Xiaochun's display of battle prowess that there was no way he could fight against him. Finally, he shouted, “Your highness, wait! I'm willing to be your follower !! Much better to explore the labyrinth with followers than to do it yourself, elevated …! ”
Bai Xiaochun's expression flickered when he realized that what the man said was actually reasonable. As long as he was alone, he would almost certainly face more ambushes, and the more battles he fought, the more likely it was that his divine abilities and magical techniques could expose his true identity.
With others to traverse the labyrinth, he would be able to avoid many troubling situations …. After reaching this point in his thinking, he waved his right hand and sent out a powerful burst of energy towards that Nascent Soul Cultivator.
Blood flowed out from the corner of the man's mouth, and his eyes flickered in anger. However, he only gritted his teeth and stopped running away. Then he clasped his hands respectfully and bowed towards Bai Xiaochun.
"I, Chen Jue, am willing to be your follower, the great one!"
Bai Xiaochun did not say anything in response. After seeing Chen Jue go up and down several times, he pointed to the man's forehead, sending streams of cold qi into him that came to rest on his chest.
Now, all that was needed was one thought, and that cold qi would erupt, instantly breaking the man's heart.
Chen Jue shivered, but did not dare to avoid the cold qi. After receiving Bai Xiaochun's restriction spell, he heaved a sigh of relief for having managed to preserve his own life, at least temporarily.
"Yes, sir," Chen Jue said, taking a deep breath as he proceeded to scan the area from the threat. He knew that the only chance to stay alive was to stay close to this necromancer, and hoped that after everything was done, he would be allowed to be free.
Although there was no visible expression on Bai Xiaochun's face, he silently looked at Chen Jue and felt very pleased with how brilliant he was. Wherever he went, people would stoop and scrape and even cry at the chance to become his followers. He really had no choice but to agree to the arrangement, although he was very curious how the man would react after learning that he was now a follower of Bai Xiaochun.
It was all really very funny. In fact, Bai Xiaochun decided that from now on, he would have to pretend to be a man who didn't talk much; that way, he would appear even more threatening.
"In addition, what this Chen Jue said really made sense. The more soul cultivators I follow, the safer I am …. ” Continues to ponder over this matter, he ran along with Chen Jue.
Every turn and tunnel of the labyrinth looked the same, and leaving a mark on the wall was almost impossible. Bai Xiaochun's head was already spinning as he tried to track down where he was. Finally, he decided that he would remain on the right. When moving, he would hug the right wall of the tunnel, and when he reached the intersection occasionally, he would always choose the right path.
Three days passed in an instant, during which time Bai Xiaochun and Chen Jue met the Wildland cultivators and the Great Wall on many occasions. Soon, Bai Xiaochun realized that many of the others were doing the same thing, and were traveling in one fixed direction.
Mostly, everyone avoided each other. No one seems to want to fight. Even when they met the larger group of Wildlands soul cultivators, when they saw how Chen Jue treated Bai Xiaochun, and saw Eternal Parasol with her eight silver designs, he said, they immediately jumped to the conclusion that he was a necromancer, and not provoked .
Therefore, he had not found a dangerous situation during those three days. At one point on the fourth day, he suddenly stopped in place, his eyes flashing.
"There's something strange up ahead," he told Chen Jue, speaking in a hoarse voice. Surprised, Chen Jue looked at the tunnel ahead, but did not see anything out of the ordinary.
Bai Xiaochun also could not see anything specific. However, from his battle with the Luochen Clan onwards, he continued to develop his sensitivity to danger. As a result, he had never been wrong in identifying a dangerous situation.
He could sense that even though the area in front seemed unusual, there was killing intent lurking there. Without hesitation, Bai Xiaochun began to back up. As for Chen Jue, although he was not sure what was really going on, he did not dare to oppose Bai Xiaochun, and also started to retreat.
Almost at the same time, a cold laughter ripple rang out, and in the blink of an eye, ripples spread in the air like waves above the water, and many figures appeared in the open.
Surprisingly, there were now more than a dozen people in the tunnel!
They all had a deep cultivation base, and they were all heading towards Bai Xiaochun.
Bai Xiaochun's eyes flickered with killing intent, and he spun around, lifting his Eternal Parasol. Eight silver designs erupted with a dazzling light, and the strange face appeared again. Just when it seemed that a battle was about to break out, a cold voice floated out from the ripples in the air.
"Don't be disrespectful!"
Almost immediately, the soul planter who had been charging into Bai Xiaochun stopped in place.
At the same time, a young man came out from the ripples, his expression gloomy. He was wearing expensive long clothes, and had a star-shaped sigil on his forehead. He was none other than Zhou Yixing!
Powerful fluctuations of soul force rolled from him, a soul force that was completely different from a soul cultivator. There was something absurd, an incomprehensible overwhelming pressure.
What was even more shocking was that the flickering in his palm was the tongue of hell fire.
The flame has many colors. In fact, a closer examination will reveal nine different colors. As soon as Bai Xiaochun saw it, his eyes widened and his mind spun. The fire is …
Nine colored flames !!
