The Strongest Man in the Universe

The Strongest Man in the Universe
Chapter 85

After David leaves Bobby's house, David asks Wayne and Gordon to drive to Aunt Sally's house to help them move their belongings. She went to Aunt Diana's house alone.

He wanted to find a way for Aunt Diana's family to move to River City like Aunt Sally. The house is ready, plus they can take a job at the Golden Leaf Hotel in order to earn income and live comfortably.

He had already handed Bobby's matter to the lawyer and told them using his connection. Hence, he did not need to pay attention to the matter anymore. Not that he was short of money.

Aunt Diana is another light in David's life besides Aunt Sally. He was very good to her too.

Since Junior High, Bobby stopped spending money on David, so some of David's living expenses and books were financed by his two aunts.

In her third year of high school, due to heavy academic assignments, she was uncomfortable to study because she could only stay one room with Jacey at Aunt Sally's house, so she moved into Aunt Diana's house for a year and worked hard for the college entrance exam.

Now that he had the ability, he had to take care of both families first so that he could feel comfortable. Aunt Diana's house is in an old residential area in Shu City. Aunt Diana and her husband were nearby factory employees. They have only one daughter, who is four years older than David, whose name is Judy Tanner.

David drives the G-Wagon straight to a familiar residential area. Since it was already a very old residential area, there was no gatekeeper watching. After parking the car downstairs, David climbed upstairs to Aunt Diana's house.

Walking down the corridor where he lived for a year, David felt a little emotional. He had rarely come here since he left for college.

It was not that he was ungrateful and unappreciative, but instead, he would work part-time during the winter and summer holidays. He also wanted to make more money on his own and tried to ease some of Aunt Sally and Aunt Diana's burden. That's why he doesn't come to visit often.

The situation at Aunt Diana's house was a little different from that at Aunt Sally's.

When Aunt Diana gave birth to her cousin Judy, something went wrong and she couldn't get pregnant again. Due to this incident, the relationship between her and her husband deteriorated, and they even wanted to get divorced several times. However, it gradually got better towards the end.

Also, because the couple did not have a son, after David's parents died, they fought hard for custody of David. However, David did not pick them at the time, which led to Uncle Alex Tanner not liking David too much after David moved into their home.

David went to the fourth floor and knocked on Aunt Diana's door.

Tok tok tok!

Soon the old security door opened from the inside. A familiar face appeared before David's eyes. That's Aunt Diana.

“Dave! Aren't you at the university in River City? Why did you come back? Login!” ask Aunt Diana.

However, there was clearly a hint of excitement in his tone.

Since Diana did not have a son, she sincerely treated David as her son.

“Aunt Diana, it's a weekend, so I'm back to see you.” replied David.

“Include, enter, do not stand outside.” Diana grabs David's hand and pulls David into the house.

Upon entering the room, David found seven or eight people sitting on the sofa in the living room. In addition to Uncle Alex and cousin Judy, his fourth uncle, Leslie Lidell, was also there. David doesn't know anyone else.

“Uncle Alex, Uncle Leslie, Judy.” David walked over and greeted them one by one.

The three also nodded in response to David. Uncle Leslie's relationship with David is pretty normal. Even though he didn't help David, he didn't hold a grudge against him either. Aunt Diana's family and Uncle Leslie's family are close. As for Uncle Bobby, they had stopped interacting with him after the David incident.

“Halo everything!” David greeted them all but ignored.

Only then did David realize that something was wrong. Judy's cousin's eyes were red, as if she had just cried.

Uncle Alex also looked a bit angry at the place where he was sitting.

“Everyone, this is my nephew, my third brother's son! He is currently studying at River City.” Diana introduced David to the others.

After being introduced, David follows his aunt Diana into the kitchen to prepare a meal. The atmosphere in the living room was too serious and he did not want to stay there. However, Aunt Diana evicted him because Aunt Lisa was in the kitchen and her help was not needed.

With no other choice, David sat in the living room and pretended to be engrossed in what was being aired on television. She originally planned to be frank with her aunt Diana about her current financial situation and persuade them to move to River City with her. But, right now there were too many people here, so he had to wait for the next opportunity to tell her.

At this time, prospective father-in-law Judy began to speak. “So, what do you think about our suggestion?”

“I disagree!” Alex replied angrily.

“Then what do you want? Don't tell me you want my son to come and live in a shabby house like this! How many years did you live here, huh? There is not even a good school nearby, where will their children learn? How do you plan to solve the educational problem? I would have destroyed them if not for their deep love!”

“Mother! What did you say?” scream Jude.

“Silence, Jude. Don't tell me you really plan to stay here your whole life? You're our only son, there's no way I'll let you stay with them!” Jude's mother insisted.

Jude didn't say anything else. He also did not want to stay in this place forever. Enraged, Alex wanted to argue but could not say anything. Their family is worse than Jude's.

It's too much to ask Jude to marry and live with them, but Judy is his only daughter and she doesn't want him to move in.

He wants to be able to play with his grandchildren after retirement. If his daughter gets married, then he and his wife will end up alone and miserable after they retire.

Just then, Diana walked out and said, “Actually, we've already decided to buy a house. We have been looking for some options lately, so you do not have to worry about their child's education.”

“Buy a house? You think I don't know about your financial situation? You and your husband are just ordinary workers! There is no way you can buy a house! Do you know how expensive a home is today? Even a second-hand house is expensive, and there is no way my son lives in

used house after marriage!”

Diana remained silent. They did plan to buy a used house in the school area, which was rather old. They just can't afford a new home. Judy started to sob slowly.

Her parents want her boyfriend Jude to move out after they get married, while her boyfriend's parents strongly disagree.

Most importantly, his family's condition is not as good as his girlfriend's, and he also wants to give his son a good educational environment.

The only thing that stops him from agreeing with his girlfriend's parents is that he feels bad for his own mother and father.

But, since she was already pregnant now, they had to advance the marriage. They could not afford to drag on the matter of residence any longer. All Jude could do was pat her shoulder silently next to him. Nor does he have a mutually beneficial solution.
