Hank swept his gaze across the great warriors of the T-Faction in front of him. While the people he looked at turned their eyes instinctively.
The Chasez family had surpassed other first-rate families and joined the circle of prominent nobles. They were not families that could be made enemies by great warriors.
Hanley sat excitedly under the stage. This was the first time he had participated in the T-Faction core meeting. As a mid-level member of the T-Faction, the prestige of the eight great fighters was something he had long heard and always dreamed of experiencing. He did not expect this day to arrive so soon.
The other three of Greenwood University's Fantastic Four soon try to get on good terms with him when they hear that he has become one of the T-Faction's eight great fighters. They wanted to work with Hanley, so Hanley accepted them as his subordinates.
The T-Faction was a sacred existence among the youths of the Capital. Anyone would be proud to be a member of a faction. As one of his eight great fighters, Hanley was now very popular among the youths in the Capital.
It could be said that Hanley was treated as a celebrity at the university, constantly mobbed by the sons of wealthy families trying to get along with him. It was a pity that Celia did not come to school and missed that sight.
At this time, Hank said, “I called everyone here today to announce two things. The Chasez family had brought two bodyguards, both of them were parents who had worked under my uncle for a long time. To welcome them, the Chasez family had decided to hold a banquet in three days, inviting all the famous nobles from the Capital. I look forward to seeing you there, as well as giving you the chance to witness a high-level Dragon Rank master up close.”
“Don't worry, Mr Hank! We'll be there!"
“Ya, yes! We will be there!”
Everybody said.
“What is this? Looks like you are a bit reluctant, Chasey.” Hank said as he looked at Chase.
Chase then smiled grimly and replied, “Of course not, Mr. Hank. I'd love to go to a banquet. See you in three days.”
The Snow family used to be slightly better off than the Chasez family, but now that the Chasez family has the resources of the T-Faction and the help of Justin the Tyrant supporting them, the, they were far ahead of the Snow family.
No matter how much Chase hates or feels angry about Hank's sudden surge in status, he knew that the Chasez family was currently at its peak and it was not the right time to be their enemy. So, Chase's only option is to give up. But Chase knows that he will take revenge without a doubt if there is a day when the Chasez family falls.
“That's great, then! And here I thought that you would refuse and make me look bad in front of everyone!” Hank said with a faint smile.
Then, Hank turned to Stan and said, “I look forward to seeing you too, Stan!”
“How can I refuse your invitation, Hank? I want to see a high ranked Dragon Rank master up close.” Stan replied with a smile.
“Because everyone agrees, then I will wait for all of you at the Chasez residence in three days.
Oh, right, I almost forgot to tell you! My uncle actually has over a dozen Dragon Rankers under him!”
After this, Hank walks out of the private room with a loud laugh as Hanley follows him. Leaving the others in a private room to stare at each other angrily.
“Master Stan....!”
Stan interrupts before Chase can say anything. “Hold, for now, Chase. The Chasez family has grown into a force to be reckoned with. With the power Justin has right now, nothing is strong enough to stop the Chasez family.
Let it. Be sure to prepare a nicer gift and get good support from the Chasez family. We're all members of the T-Faction, and I'm sure Hank isn't the one holding a grudge.”
Stan got up to leave the private room. The other great fighters shared a glance and sighed as well. If even T-man himself has made it clear that the Chasez family has grown into a force to be reckoned with, then, then there was nothing more they could do except follow Stan's advice and prepare a nicer gift to put in the Chasez family's good books.
Jon and his wife have experienced heaven and hell recently. About a month ago, the Chasez family gave up on targeting them and returned 54% of the Beautiful Group shares to them.
Jon has regained his job and his boss has even shown signs of wanting to promote him and give him more responsibility. But the good things did not last long and the problem resurfaced again in the last few days.
Problems arise with the company and Jon's career stalls. The couple spent their days frowning at home. Celia did as David ordered and did not attend any classes at Greenwood University. She is an understanding woman, and she knows this is not the time to cause more trouble for her parents and David. So, she did not leave the house at all and stayed at home.
Jon and his wife initially assume that Chasez's family is targeting them again, but after asking some people, the, they discover that the Chasez family is actually too busy to deal with small fries like them these days.
The Chasez family has been very active in the Capital lately, as there have been rumors about how they received the support of some powerful figures and are now expanding their power. The family also slowly broke through the boundaries of the first-class aristocratic circle and aimed for higher status.
The problems the couple faced were not a direct result of something the Chasez family said, but it is the result of the Beautiful Group's partners and close business friends distancing themselves from Young's family out of fear that Chasez's family will upset them because of their relationship.
The Chasez family has grown strong enough to the point where they don't have to say anything before someone trying to get along with them will take the initiative to help the family. This was a treatment enjoyed only by the four leading noble families in the Capital.
However, any family that wished to become the fifth noble family would definitely face the hurdles set by the other four to stop them. After all, there are only so many benefits to share, and every newcomer means a re-distribution of those benefits.
Each side would be forced to reap fewer benefits from then on. However, the Chasez family had a very strong Justin Chasez watching them, so no one dared to pass them by.
Because of this, these four families would rather reap fewer benefits than make Justin an enemy.
As a legendary figure in Somerland, Justin is already one hundred and twenty years old. His body slowly degenerated but even so, Somerland was unwilling to start a fight with him, lest Falconia take the opportunity to attack Somerland. it was the only reason why the Somerland officials had not made a move when two middle and high ranked Dragon Ranker masters of unknown origin suddenly appeared in the Capital, the heart of Somerland.
If Justin was only a Peak Dragon Ranker, even if he was at the Peak of Dragon Rank, Somerland was a kingdom strong enough that there was no need to worry about fighting him. However, the problem is that the Dark Cape is under Justin's rule and this is too important for Somerland. The Empire could not risk such a place falling into the hands of Falconia.
Actually the current situation was the best they could manage. This was because if one of the two kingdoms, Somerland or Falconia, ruled the Dark Cape, war would break out between them.
So, Somerland decided to turn a blind eye and even help the Chasez family grow up, just like the rest of the family did.
Three days later, the Chasez family invited various noble families in the Capital to witness their revival.
The news of the Red Flame Mercenaries preparing to attack the Dark Cape quickly spread to the ears of the two great empires.
The Dark Cape was extremely important to both empires, so it was only natural that the two empires had people watching the area at all times. When something unexpected happened, the news would soon reach the ears of the high officials in the two kingdoms so that they could make a decision.
There was a lot of news about the mercenaries launching an attack on the Dark Cape, though, but this was the first time a mercenary group had gathered twenty thousand people and marched towards the Dark Cape like the Red Flame Mercenaries did now.
The two kingdoms took this matter seriously and began to look to the Silver Face, Captain of the Red Flame Mercenaries. Most importantly, they needed to check if Silver Face was a mercenary group sent from another kingdom.
However, no empire could find anything. They each had a list of the names of the other top ranked Daragon Kingdoms on their list, and they would be notified immediately the moment someone went missing.
This was helped by the fact that David had planned everything long ago and had yet to reveal his identity. He knows that when his identity is revealed, Falconia will prevent him from taking over the Dark Cape. In fact, the war between the two kingdoms might even have been triggered earlier because of this.
This was why he switched between countless identities on his way to the Dark Cape and even wore a mask to keep him from being identified.
After the analysis and investigation of the two kingdoms, they confirmed that the Silver Face was not someone sent by the other kingdoms and thus decided not to join this war.
However, that does not mean they will not continue to monitor the situation. To a certain extent, the Red Flame Mercenaries Force's attack on the Dark Cape was exactly what the two empires wanted to see.
The Blood Thirsty Mercenaries had ruled the Dark Cape for nearly a decade, and the favorable geographical location of the Dark Cape meant that all mercenary fees could be paid without the need to send mercenaries out for missions. No mission also means no losses.
Having control over such extreme wealth meant the Blood Thirsty Mercenaries would continue to grow stronger and no kingdom would want this to happen. It didn't matter who won, but both Red Flame and Blood Thirsty would suffer losses during this battle in the Dark Cape.
Regardless of who took over the Dark Cape in the end, the mercenaries still needed a long time to recover.
Three days passed very quickly. The Chasez residence in the Capital is very crowded today, with many guests who are famous and powerful families in the Capital.
The Chasez family put a bright smile on their faces. Because after today their surnames will shake the entire Capital and even the entire Somerland.
However, they do not know that a great battle will break out in the Dark Cape, a battle that will determine whether the Chasez family lives or dies.
Not even the guardian or elder of the Chasez family knew that the Dark Cape would be attacked. This was because the high officials of the Blood Thirsty Mercenaries knew that Tyrant was on the verge of a breakthrough so no one would have thought that Blood Thirsty would lose.
Red Flame only had one Peak Dragon Ranker when Tyrant himself said that he could fight against five peak Dragon Rankers without any problems. So, no one told the guardian and elder of the Chasez family.
Dark Cape
David stood in the castle of the Blood Thirsty Mercenaries with Killer, Tulip, Blue Enchantress, Paul, the various high officials of Red Flame, and the twenty thousand mercenaries behind him.
At this moment, David started to feel strange. Logically speaking, they should have already entered the borders of the Dark Cape, yet they had met without a fight for cutting straight into the heart of the Dark Cape.
He knew something was going to happen. It was possible that the enemy had deliberately let them in and decided to attack from all sides.
David is not the only one who is worried. However, they were already here and a battle was inevitable.
