In the afternoon, David registered a company called East League International Investment Limited Company. Pearl is the general manager, and Golden Leaf Hotel is its subsidiary. However, it was still a mere shell. He needed to wait for Pearl to hire various talents to expand the company.

Next day. When David arrives at the Golden Leaf Hotel, he finds Sam and his family hiding in a corner of an outdoor parking lot. Sure enough, they didn't give up. David ignored them and went straight into the hotel.

The morning slowly passed. David received the parcel in the middle of the day. It was a high-level membership badge from the SCC headquarters.it was called a badge, but actually it was a ring with the SCC logo on it.

Just as David is about to leave, he receives an unexpected phone call from Sarah's best friend, Sophie. She tells David that Sarah suddenly fainted and is now in the hospital. David was stunned when he received the call.

‘What does Sarah's fainting have to do with me? He dumped me! Shouldn't you call Leo?'

David tried to ignore it. However, he was still unable to convince himself after thinking about it.

'I'll just go! After all, he's been around for four years of my life. Think of it as closure!'

She goes to the hospital Sophie mentioned to her and buys some fruit along the way. Driving the limited edition Bugatti Veyron to buy fruit naturally caused quite a stir. The fruit stand is so crowded while the owner is happy, of course. They immediately sell what they usually sell in a day. Therefore, David bought a lot of fruit today.

He was walking down the hospital hallway when he suddenly heard two voices coming from the consultation room.

“‘Doctor, will you help my mother? I beg of you!”

“Oh, Sir, our hospital is not a charity. How can we serve you if you have no money?”

“Please take care of my mother first. I'll come with money later!”

"I'll tell you the truth, sir! Your mother's illness is severe. This is a serious thing, even after having surgery in our hospital. Why don't you look for a hospital with more sophisticated medical equipment? You will have a better chance of success that way!”

"Doctor, how long can my mother survive with her current condition?”

"Without surgery, he only has about three months left to live. If the operation is successful, he could live for about a decade or so. But he might not have 3 months to live if the surgery fails."

David glanced casually as he walked past the consulting room. A man in his thirties begged a doctor in his fifties to save his mother.

David ignored.

This kind of thing happens every day. Life-long hard work will disappear after a serious illness.

He enters the ward Sophie told him about earlier. Sophie was sitting next to the hospital bed as Sarah lay pale in bed while a doctor examined her. David went in and put the fruits on the chair.

Excitement gushed across Sarah's pale face as she watched David walk in. He knew Sophie must have told David. David stood there and did not move. When the doctors finished checking, they turned around and saw David right behind them.

"You must be the patient's girlfriend! I don't trust you young people. The patient was three weeks pregnant, and she was frail. It would be bad for the baby if this continued. If you don't want the baby, you can only have surgery after she becomes stronger.”

David felt a hum in his head and pain in his heart after hearing the doctor's words.

Four years!

For four whole years! She had brought food to Sarah under her dorm building day and night, rain or shine.

She has worked many part-time jobs only to feel happy that she could buy Sarah a gift after getting her pay.

They had a lot of good times and bad times together. They had thought of a future where they would marry and have sweet children. However, he never thought they would end up like this. She was with Sarah for four years and never touched her against her will. She can't believe she got pregnant right after she started dating other people. How ironic. Is a four-year relationship really cheap? It was nothing compared to the new L Brand bag.

David took a deep breath and said, “So so! Thank you doctor!”

Sarah's remaining little hope is lost after doctors tell David she is pregnant. His pale face became even paler. He opened his mouth to try to say something. However, he realized that he could not make a sound.

Sophie didn't expect things to be like this. Seeing his best friend cry every day, he wants to help him get David back. He knows David still loves Sarah. He witnessed all the loving moments of their time together. However, this was not what he had predicted.

A moment later, the doctor left and the ward fell silent.

Finally, Sarah broke the silence by saying, “David, forgive me!”

"Nothing to regret. Everyone has the right to choose. Since you have chosen this path, I hope you are lucky.”

"David, please forgive me! If I were not so arrogant and accepted Leo's gift, I would be able to refuse Leo's invitation to his party, and I wouldn't be so drunk that he could take advantage of me. It was too late when I woke up the next day.” Sarah tried to explain while sobbing.

Surprisingly, Sarah's explanation did not stir David's heart at all. Sarah thinks she'll get angry and goes to Leo for revenge, but she doesn't.

'Did he really get drunk? Maybe there's another reason.it's because this happened to her cousin Lily the other day. If Sarah's determined, will Leo have a chance?'

In the end, their four-year relationship wasn't strong enough. Sarah already had such an idea, so there would be others even if it wasn't Leo.

"All right! Since you're already fine, I'll be leaving soon.”

David did not want to stay. He wants to leave. Sarah's frozen. David's reaction was not as he had expected. He's not mad at Leo, and he doesn't feel sorry for him. There is only calm. Having known David for four years, he shouldn't have reacted that way. He realized he didn't understand David at all.

David walked out of the ward. He said to himself, 'He said,

'Goodbye, Sarah!'.

With that, he found closure for his four-year relationship. Sarah will be in the past from now on. Unable to hold it in anymore, Sarah's sobs came from the ward. But David has nothing to do with it anymore.
