The Strongest Man in the Universe

The Strongest Man in the Universe
Chapter 60

David felt his chest feel light when he heard Lily's voice.

“Why did you call me so many times, Lily? Did something happen? My phone is silent and I didn't realize that you were calling.” explained David.

“Dave, ... My mother was beaten!”

‘What? Aunt Sally beaten?’

If David had to make a list of the people he cares about most in the world from the ones he cares most about to the least, then his aunts Sally Lowe and Diana Lidell would take first place. That is, not including his dead parents.

Ever since her parents died from the incident, the only place where she felt warmth was with Aunt Sally and Diana. Therefore, David was immediately angry when he found out that Aunt Sally was beaten.

According to her understanding of Aunt Sally, she was not the type to provoke someone all of a sudden.

“Who beat him? Was he seriously injured?” David quickly asked.

“Your cousin brother, Quinn, beat him up! She wasn't hurt too badly, the doctor said she'd be fine after a few days' rest" Lily replied.

“How can Quinn beat Aunt Sally? Don't tell me he went to collect that money for me again!”

“Tsk! It's just, it's too hard to explain it over the phone, Dave! Just come and find it yourself! My sister will go for revenge tomorrow!”

David was angry. Lily may not have told him anything over the phone, but she already knew what was happening. Aunt Sally must have gone to help her collect compensation for her parents' incident. Her other aunt must have refused, causing both sides to argue, and Quinn must have beaten Aunt Sally on behalf of her mother.

'That boy. I'll make you pay for it. Isn't it bad enough that you don't pay the money you owe? How can you beat someone too? What kind of person does this family consist of?'

Initially, he did not plan to charge the money. Not when he already has more than enough to spend. However, it was now impossible for him to let them get away with not paying. He would rather give the money to beggars on the street than let them keep it.

“Lily, didn't I give you the money? I also told you to tell your mother about it, didn't I? Why is he still insisting on charging compensation?"

"Dave, how can I tell him that you've been keeping it a secret all this time?" Lily asked angrily.

“I'm afraid Aunt Sally is worried I got money from illegal transactions!”

“I'm a woman, how can I explain suddenly having so much money? What if my mom thinks that I sold myself to a sugar daddy instead of focusing on my studies?"

David was silent.

“Good, I'll go now! I'll get there before sunrise, so keep an eye on Jacey, don't let her escape.”

Jacey is a rude man. No one knew what would happen if he managed to find Quinn.

"All right! Come fast!”

David ends the call with Lily and immediately calls Wayne and the others so they can come and pick her up.

The Bugatti Veyron is a poor choice to drive in a small area due to its low chassis. Therefore, he could only take back G-Wagon.

After ending the call, David glanced towards the bathroom where Amelia was bathing. Without telling him, he went down.

On the way to the village, David sends an SMS to Amelia to explain that something has happened at home and she has to leave. He also told her that she was free to spend the night at her house.

After sending the message, David pondered for a moment before adding a sentence.

“Something really happened, Amelia! I swear I didn't run away!”

It would be very insulting to her character if Amelia finally misunderstood and assumed that she had a flaw in 'it'.

'But will he believe me? Maybe not. Goddamn bum! To be honest, I also might not believe that I was him. Therehewas. My great reputation is tarnished. But now is not the time to worry about it.'

David decides that he will deal with his reputation issues after he resolves the existing problems.

David did not have to wait too long at the entrance of the South River International Residence before Wayne and Gavin arrived with the G-Wagon.

David gives Wayne the location as soon as he gets into the car and Wayne immediately sets up the GPS.

David's hometown was also in South River Province, only it was a rural area five to six hundred kilometers away. He should be able to arrive in the morning if he were to leave now.

Amelia spent more than half an hour in the bathroom before she came out with swaying hips. He knew he was going to have an important moment in his life. Amelia wrapped herself in a towel as she walked out, her hair still wet, which accentuated her figure. He looked very attractive, and the sight could easily make a young man nosebleed. It's a pity that David has left and cannot enjoy such a pleasant sight.

Amelia did not see David when she walked out. Thinking that David had climbed to the top, he sat down on the sofa to wait for him.

David still hasn't shown up after a while, and out of boredom, he pulls out his phone. Only then did she see the two messages David had sent her. Amelia was stunned as she read David's message.

Then he grunted softly. ‘David gone? Something happened at his house? As if I would believe that! Isn't it too coincidental if something happens now?'

As he thought, David was not an easy man. Not because she is a cheap woman. Besides, she's a virgin. He was just trying to pursue his own happiness now that he had met someone he liked.

Amelia stood in front of a large ceiling-high window and admired the night view of the Leeds River. It doesn't feel real.

Amelia marveled at the sight for longer and took some photos with her cell phone before ascending to the 28th floor.

'There's a private swimming pool?'

The ceiling above the pool is made of glass, meaning we can see the twinkling stars in the night sky just by looking up. He wondered what it was like to lie in a pond and stare at the stars.

So he went and wanted to do it. Amelia took the windbed by the pool and put it on the water, and she lay down on it. The mattress slowly floated into the middle of the pond, and he lay on it staring at the stars above.

It would be perfect if David was here hugging her. Maybe they could also share a bottle of red wine. Amelia looked at the towel she wrapped around her body and took it off.

'How could David possibly go before such an alluring body?' He wonders to himself.

'What a boring man.'

At the same time, David was rushing to Aunt Sally's house. Aunt Sally's injury is a big deal. Although not serious, David still feels guilty, especially when he was injured when collecting money for him.

It was already six in the morning when David arrived at Shu City. He takes a short nap in the morning, while Wayne and Gavin take turns driving.

David takes the wheel as soon as they arrive in Shu City because Wayne and Gavin are unfamiliar with the streets and they will arrive sooner if David is driving.

After arriving at Aunt Sally's residence, David has Wayne and Gavin wait in the car while she leaves alone.

Lily opened the door. David had already told him about his arrival when he arrived at Shu City.

"Come in, Dave!"

"How is he doing? Where's Aunt Sally? Where is Jacey?” ask David.

"Inside. My dad's watching Jace, making sure he won't go and look for Quinn.”

David immediately saw Uncle Yousef sitting on the sofa watching television as soon as he entered the house.

"Uncle Yousef!" David greeted with a shout.

“You're here, Dave! Go check on your Aunt Sally! Seriously, he was not young anymore, why would he go and fight with others? See it? Now he's bedridden!” Yousef.

Uncle Yousef was a scribe, so he was very reliable and could remain calm despite the problems. He may not be the best for David, but he has never treated David badly during his two years

spend it here.

'Lying in bed? I thought Lily said she'd recover after a few days' rest! How badly was he injured to the point of lying in bed?'

David immediately rushes to Aunt Sally's room, only to find her bedridden, asleep. Not wanting to disturb his sleep, David closed the door slowly and left. He returned to the living room to sit down with Uncle Yousef and Lily.

"What happened, Uncle Yousef?" ask David.

Yousef then tells David what happened. It was not too far from David's guess. Another uncle of David owed about two million in compensation for his parents' insurance. David had not even turned ten by the time they died, so the money was given to his new guardian for safe keeping.

In the end, David decides to follow his uncle Bobby. However, there is a problem with the compensation money and his uncle Bobby stresses that he will only return the money to David when David is eighteen.

But, neither Aunt Sally David nor Aunt Diana trusted Uncle Bobby, so they wrote the deal and gave the deal to Aunt Sally.

David's life with Uncle Bobby goes down sharply after Uncle Bobby receives compensation, and David's life gets better after he moves in to live with Aunt Sally at his house.

David is already twenty-one now, he is about to graduate university, but Uncle Bobby shows no signs of returning the money to him.

So, when Aunt Sally takes the deal and goes looking for David's uncle, Bobby, she tells Bobby that she will file a lawsuit against him if he doesn't pay back David.

In the end, Aunt Sally David finally gets into a fight with Aunt Karen, and when Quinn returns home and sees what's going on, she decides to help her mother and push Sally twice. Then, Sally fell down and injured her back.

Sally's back was already fragile, and she sprained after Quinn pushed her down. It would take about half a month before he could fully recover.

"Where's Jacey?" ask David again.

“She kept saying how she was going to go find Quinn and get revenge for her mother when she woke up this morning, but I stopped her from leaving. So she locked herself in her room furiously." Yousef replied.

“I'll handle this, Uncle Yousef. Don't worry, I'll get justice for Aunt Sally.”

“Do not use violence, Dave. If they do not listen to reason, then we will protect ourselves with the law. Don't act rashly, okay?”

“I understand, Uncle Yousef. I'll check Jace.”

David then walked into Jacey's room. This used to be his bedroom too. Aunt Sally lived in a three-bedroom apartment, so she spent two years in this house and roomed with Jacey. They're pretty close.
