The Strongest Man in the Universe

The Strongest Man in the Universe
Chapter 4

After David finished eating and walked out of the Golden Leaf Hotel, he saw the hotel entrance behind him. Pearl and some servants escorted her out while bowing. At that moment, David felt that the world was truly beautiful.

'Who the hell is Sarah Jensen? If I wanted to, I could have a lot of girls right now.'

What should he do next?

Of course, he had to buy a house. David doesn't want to stay in the dorm anymore. There were four boys in one room, but now, only two of them were actively living there. The other two rent a place off campus with their girlfriends.

In addition, she hears her remaining roommate is also in love with a girl and is also planning to move out. David initially wants to rent a house with Sarah off campus, but Sarah refuses whatever she says. When he thought of Sarah sleeping with Leo, David felt a pain in his heart.

'F*ck, I should have used force back then. I'm letting that bastard get all the benefits now.' swearing David inwardly.

At this moment, David's ugly ex-phone rang. He looked at the caller ID and saw that it was from his roommate, Patrick Reed. Although she has moved on to live a simple life with her boyfriend, she and David are still very close as they have been living together for over a year.

In addition, dormitory rent and school fees are tied together. Even though she did not live in the campus dormitory, she had already paid the rent so that no one took her place in the room, so she occasionally returned to their dormitory to play games.

David answered the phone.

"Dave, where are you? The three of us were in the hospital but Dr.Shelton said you were gone. I heard what happened to you. Don't do anything stupid, keep an open mind. Leave the old, start with the new. When you feel better, we will hold a blind date to find a better person for you.”

Patrick's anxious voice came from the other end of the phone. David felt comfortable hearing that.

He replied, “Pat, what are you thinking? Why would I do something so stupid? Don'worry. I'll be right back.”

"You sure?”

“I'm so sure!”

"Say where you are now. We'll come get you."

"No need, I'm fine. Don'worry. I'll be back in two or three days."

"Thulkah?”

“Of course it's true!”

“‘Good for you to come back and relax. Think about your family loving you and the three of us.”

“Alright, I'm not that stupid. Worry not! I'll hang up now!”

The South River International Residence

The houses here are the most expensive in the South River Province. The average price per square meter starts at two hundred thousand dollars. Of course, this place was also in a prime location.

The entire South River International Residence is surrounded by the Leeds River. There is only one exit, while the other three sides face the river. Therefore, the view is spectacular. There are only six buildings here, and each one is 38 stories tall.

The smallest unit would be 200 square meters while the largest would be over a thousand square meters. This is truly a gathering place of wealth.

Luxury cars are parked everywhere in the parking lot, and people would be too embarrassed to drive their cars that cost less than a million to get in here.

David walks into the South River International Residence exhibition hall. When he entered the lobby, it seemed to be a bit empty. Five to six marketing people were sitting together as they chatted.

When they saw David, none of them wanted to approach him. South River International Residence has been marketed three years ago but there are still units that have not been sold because it is too expensive. One small unit will cost tens of millions, so not everyone can afford it. When it went on sale, many people came to look around the house.

The people who could afford it all bought it in the past two years. The people who could not afford it still could not afford it until now. So, most of the staff who worked here since the start of the sale have already left. A lot of women sellers go with millions in their pockets. After all, a single unit would cost tens of millions or even hundreds of millions. They will be able to make a lot of money with commissions only.

Back then, the commission would be two-thousandths and now, the commission of the new staff had increased to 1%. However, now, it is very difficult to sell any unit. So, many of them only work here because they are guaranteed a base salary.

When they saw David, they knew he wasn't here to buy a house based on his clothes. So, everyone continued chatting, they did not plan to pay any attention to it.

David felt a little awkward at the moment. The people chatting clearly ignored him and there was no one at the front desk. So, he did not know who to ask even if he had questions.

However, after David stood there for two to three minutes, a young woman aged around 26 to 27 came out of the showroom toilet.

Jenny Ward started marketing at South River International Residence last month. He was able to enter because his uncle gave the boss a gift worth ten thousand dollars. He comes from a small rural area.

He could count the number of customers who came to see the house over the past month with two hands. When customers enter the door, senior staff will struggle to welcome them.

They didn't give him a chance at all. Therefore, he did not sell a single house after more than a month of working here. Today, he saw a young man who looked his age standing in the lobby as he just came out of the toilet. The senior staff seemed to ignore him, so he walked towards him.

"Sir, are you here to browse the house?” Jenny walked up to David and asked.

“Yes, you're right!” David answered.

Jenny was so happy. Finally, he had a chance to bring customers to see the house.

"What type of unit are you interested in, Mister?”

"What type do you have?”

Later, Jenny goes on to tell David a lot of information about the houses. There are not many empty units left. David had no choice. In the end, David chose a 500-square-meter penthouse on the 22nd floor of Block 3. Jenny takes the keys from the front desk and then they go to look at the unit. As the two left, the staff in the lobby started talking about them.

"He's seriously here to see the unit? She seemed to be wearing cheap clothes and she looked like a poor person to me. Does he know where he is?”

"Yes, he had to work hard all his life to buy a square meter. Only a rookie like Jenny would take her to see the unit. Isn't this a waste of time?”

"She may be from a rural area and have no idea about home prices here. When she found out the price, she was probably scared, ha ha ha ha!”

“Yes, let's wait and see he's fooling himself later.”

Two hours later. David and Jenny return to the showroom lobby. Both of them sat on the chairs on the side of the lobby. Then, Jenny brought David a cup of tea.

"Mr Lidell, are you satisfied with what you saw?” Jenny asked as she sat across from David.

"Not really. Block-3 is not very good. Are there units in Block-1?”

David considered the location of Block-1 to be the best. Since he wanted to buy a place, he would buy the best one. He has all the money in the world.

"Please wait a minute, Mr. Lidell. Let me check it out for you.” Jenny takes the tablet and starts looking for David.

"Mr Lidell, since the location of Block-1 is the best, only one unit remains. It's upstairs and it's a big loft-style penthouse. It occupies the 37th and 38th floors of Block-1, and is the best unit in Block-1. The total area is 1300 square meters, so it is a little expensive. I'm not suggesting you take this unit."

“Oh? Can we see it?” David did not even ask for the price and he immediately wanted to see his unit.

“Yes, but..."

"Alright then, let's go!” David interrupted.

Jenny pondered and replied, “Alright, Mr. Lidell. I'll go get the key.”

After Jenny gets the key and the two will go to see the unit, a senior staff member in his thirties who still looks very attractive speaks from afar.

"Jenny, will you see the best units in Block-1?” He was closer to the two, so he overheard their conversation.

“Yes, Miss James.”

"Jenny, I don't want to criticize you, but not everyone who stops by can see the units here, let alone the best in Block-1. The interior of the unit is designed by very famous designers from abroad. Who will pay for it if there is damage?”

“Miss James, I'll be very careful!”

"Jenny, you're new so you don't know the rules here. You need a good eye if you want to work in this field. Look at him, do you think he looks like someone who can afford one unit here?” Miss James pointed directly at David and said.

"Miss James, I believe that Mr. Lidell is not such a person.”

“Huh, it's okay if you won't listen to me. But you have to mop the floor after you get out. Don't leave a trace, understand?”

“I understand, Miss James.” After Jenny says that, she leads David to the best unit in Block-1.
