Pearl took a few deep breaths, trying hard to calm her anger.

“Alright then! It's all been happening. You can start from the bottom as a waiter.”

"Pearl! I don't want to be a waiter. Give me a job as a supervisor and put Minnie in charge of hotel finances. This way, we can prevent David from cheating when he has money. I promise I'll report everything she did to you. Mom told us to help you!” sam said boldly.

"Ha ha ha ha!" Pearl laughed with anger.

‘Work as a supervisor? Put him in charge of the money? Trying help? They were just trying to rob David! Do they also think that this hotel will belong to the Warner family in the future? How dare they think that?'

"You want him in charge of the hotel's finances? Does he know what his monthly income is? Do you know how much this food costs? Let me tell you guys. This food costs a million dollars, and the revenue of this place is almost a billion dollars a month. Do you think he can set it?”

After Pearl finished speaking. Everyone stopped eating. They looked at him with surprised eyes.

'One million dollars for one meal? That's crazy!'

"Pearl, how much do you say, all this food we eat?" Sam swallowed his food and whispered.

"This food costs a total of one million dollars!”

The crowd was silent for a long time.

After the shock disappeared. Leigh said, “Do you make that kind of money every month? Looks like your taste is good. So we won't be coming back. We've worked hard our whole lives. Now it's time to enjoy life better."

"Since you're so rich, let's give Sammy a house and a car so he can get married and settle down here.” Billy added.

Pearl looked at the family, speechless. They're all the same. He was sad because he was born into such a family. He was thinking of helping them as much as possible because they were family. But now he just wants to go. He didn't want to see these people anymore.

“Help yourself and eat the fullest. I'll be out for a minute!” Pearl got up and left after speaking.

He's discouraged. His entire family had conspired to deceive him. They take the money he saved to pay off Sam's gambling debt. If he can give them what they want today, they will ask for more tomorrow. They will never be satisfied and grateful. All they do is take. He didn't want to see these people anymore.

The crowd kept eating. It would be a waste not to spend this one million dollar meal.

At the same time, Pearl went to the chairman's office. David was playing with his phone because he was bored.

“Hai! Miss Pearl, why did you climb upstairs so quickly?”

"Mr Lidell, I want to go and never see them again!” said Pearl.

“‘Do you want to go now? What about them? Should I give them money?” ask David.

She suspected the Pearl family had said something hurtful to her which caused her to react so violently. Since Pearl had made up her mind, she would support him!

"Please don't. It will never end if you give them something. They will never be satisfied.”

"Then should I ignore them?”

“Yes! Just ignore them! If they cause trouble at the hotel, just report it to the police and put it in the police station for two days."

“Alright then! Where do you plan to go, Miss Pearl?”

“I'll go to Springfield. It was a world-class metropolis with a lot of talented people, and I had a university roommate in Springfield who I could ask for his help.”

“OK! Have a good trip, Miss Pearl. I'll host a celebration dinner when you get back.”

"Thank you, Mr. Lidell!”

Billy and the others had no idea Pearl had just gone to Springfield. They had already eaten a lot but could not bear to part with that one million dollar delicacy. Thus, they ended up spending three hours to finish off all the food.

The group left the private room after finishing eating, and they were taken to the chairman's office by the waiter.

"My dear sister-in-law! Where's my brother?” ask Sam.

"Please! Don't call me your sister-in-law! I told you, Miss Pearl and I were just coworkers! We never got off track, and I'm still a student, how can I be your brother-in-law?” answer David.

The group looked at each other. Something doesn't feel right. It wasn't a problem before, but now they couldn't call him like this.

“Yah. Mr Lidell, where's my brother?” ask Sam again.

“‘Your sister is gone. You should go home after you finish eating!” answer David.

"He left? Then we'll go look for him!”

"When I said he left, I didn't mean for him to leave the hotel, but River City. This is Miss Pearl's resignation letter. Look at yourself carefully!” David handed Sam a piece of paper after saying that.

Something's not right! Sam took it and saw that it was indeed a letter of resignation from Pearl.

"Mr Lidell, why did my sister resign?”

"How can I explain this? Miss Pearl thinks you'll keep bothering her if she works here. He can't meet your requirements, so he has no choice but to go.” replied David.

“Where did my brother go?”

“I don't know. I think he went looking for his university roommate!”

Leigh quickly pulled out her phone and called Pearl.

"Sorry! The number you are calling cannot be reached!"

"No..This can't happen!" Leigh dropped to the floor.

"Huh! Did you conspire with that damned girl to fool us? I'm telling you. We won't leave unless he's out!” Billy said to David with a face full of anger.

"Master! Don't let me lose my patience here! I didn't force your daughter to leave. You're the one who caused that to happen. What does that have to do with me? It will be your fault if you keep throwing tantrums here!”

“I don't care! I'll stay here unless he comes out. I can still enjoy good food and good drinks.” Billy still doesn't flinch.

"Master, I treated you the best food in the hotel for Miss Pearl while Miss Pearl was still working here. This food costs millions of dollars. But I don't have to be polite to you anymore after Miss Pearl gets out of here. I'll call the police if you make a move here. Don't blame me for ruining your reputation if you're locked up for some time!" david said slowly.

Sure enough, they were terrified as soon as David said that. After all, David was a great person in their eyes.

"Don't bully me! I'm telling you. I've lived so long. Nothing can scare me.” Billy said.

Minnie turned around and looked at Sam sadly.

I'll introduce you to someone better" Mrs Fuller said ferociously as she pulled Minnie over.

Sam felt like he had fallen to hell from heaven. Billy and Leigh also felt their blood boiling as anger engulfed them! If Pearl changed her contact information, where would they find her?

Pearl had always sent them money every month for many years, so it had become a habit. They haven't worked for a long time. They envy everyone in the village, raise good daughters and have money to spend without working. What if they are suddenly cut off financially?

Do they have to go back in time, go out in the morning and go home in the evening, work hard every day?

The old couple regretted it when they thought about it.
