“Marie, who is this?” ask Hannah.

How could she not have known that Marie had such a friend?

"Mr Mulligan! I've found a new investor!” Marie said, against her complaints.

“Who is it?” ask Homer.

“Mr Lidell, and she is ready to invest in our film.” Marie said.

Marie mentioned David's name before Hannah could stop him. It is clear that David is a fraud. His current image could temporarily deceive Homer, but what about when he had to spend real money?
