The Strongest Man in the Universe

The Strongest Man in the Universe
Chapter 184

Outside Shu City High School. In a small restaurant. David, Celia, and their former homeroom teacher, Mrs Giselle, are having lunch together.

“So, how are you two doing?” ask Giselle.

“Lumayan. Celia attended Greenwood University and I just got back from an exchange program with Greenwood University.”, David replied.

“David, I thought you were studying at SRU?”

“Uhmm..But there are some quotas for the exchange program with Greenwood University, so I went and studied there for a while.”

“Then, you must be one of the outstanding students at SRU. Or such a quota cannot be yours.”

“I think so.” replied David.

He became a top student, thanks to the money he donated to SRU.

“It's good, then. Real good. You two are the most hardworking and disciplined students I have ever taught. I know you guys will achieve great success in the future.” Praise Giselle.

“Stop praising us, Lady Han before we become overconfident and arrogant.”

“What is the relationship between the two of you?” Giselle asked sharply.

He has been teaching for many years and has a keen eye for things like this. It was only natural that he could sense a certain dynamic between David and Celia.

“Celia my boyfriend now.”

“David, Celia, I saw a lot of potential in both of you back then, but as a student, you two should focus on your academics. You can only control your fate after you graduate and when you are knowledgeable. Do you understand what I'm trying to say?" Giselle said seriously.

He was afraid that his best students would lose the motivation to study now that they were dating. They were both in Shu City High School's Glory Column. It would be a pity if they were unable to make a living in the big cities and had to return to a small area like Shu City after all.

“Don't worry, Mrs Hans. We understand.”

“Don't worry, Mrs Hans. We understand.”

David and Celia answered simultaneously.

“That's a good thing, as long as you guys understand.”

Giselle said nothing more.

He trusted the two to be able to pay attention to their studies while maintaining their relationship.

The three of them returned to school after lunch. The principal happened to be at the school today, so when he heard that the provincial and school's top scorers came to visit, he also went to the senior year teacher's office.

Giselle was chatting with the young couple when the headmaster suddenly walked in. He quickly stood up to greet her.

“Mr Johnston! Why are you here?”

“Sit Lady Han. I'm just here for a walk. I heard that our top scorer has come.” Mr. Johnston said with a smile.

“Halo, Mr. Johnston.”

“Halo, Mr. Johnston.”

David and Celia stood up to greet.

“Sit you both. You must be Celia, right? As expected of the provincial top scorer. As the principal of Shu City High School, I really owe you a debt of gratitude. You have contributed greatly to the history of our school. Too bad you didn't go back to school after the college entrance exam.” Johnston wailing.

“I'm really sorry about that, Mr. Johnston. It's just that my parents live in the Capital, so I never had a chance to return." Celia replied apologetically.

“No, no, it's okay! You chose to continue studying with us even after your father was transferred from Shu City. On behalf of all the teachers here, I thank you for your trust in Shu City High School. Thanks to you, Shu City High School will always have the provincial top scorer as our student." Johnston thanked me sincerely.

He knew about Celia's identity. It was truly surprising that he continued to study at Shu City High School after his father was transferred back to the Capital, and thus allowed Shu City High School to have the provincial top scorer as a student.

This increased the popularity of Shu City High School within the province. Not only did the schools become famous for this, but they also received the preferred teaching resources as a result.

"You're too good, Mr. Johnston!”

Celia was embarrassed by Mr. Johnston's words and glanced at David beside her. He didn't stay because of his belief in Shu City High School, he chose to stay because it meant he could see David every day.

He doesn't remember David. As the headmaster of Shu City High School, he would be able to remember Celia, the first shining light in the province in Shu City High School history. David was accepted into the top ten universities in Somerland as well. Although it is also an outstanding achievement, there are many students who have been accepted to the university over the years.

He might remember it at that moment, but he would not be able to remember it after some time had passed.

“Master, this is also a student in Celia's class. His name is David Lidell and he was accepted at South River University,” Giselle introduced.

“Oh? South River University? That's not bad either. You also bring honor to school. I should thank you too, David."

"Mr Johnston, you're too polite. I should thank the school for educating me so well!” said David.

"Since you two are back, we should gather the seniors this year and tell them about your study experience while you were in high school as well as your university life. What do you think? Give them motivation so they can work hard."

"Umm. Alright!” David hesitated before agreeing.

After all, this was his alma mater. He should help as much as he can.

“Then it's done, Mrs Han. After class in the afternoon, please tell each class and ask them to gather in the meeting hall" Mr. Johnston told Giselle.

“Alright, Sir. I will." replied Giselle respectfully.

“All completed then. I won't bother you guys reminiscing about the past again.” said Mr. Johnston before leaving.

"Sir, please watch your step.”

After Mr. Johnston left, David and Mrs Hans chatted a lot. David likes to chat as if they are all equal, because everyone can say whatever comes to mind.

He misses the past. Even though those days were difficult, they were filled with joy. That's why he doesn't like to reveal his identity. After being exposed, the principal and teacher would probably not chat with him like this. Just like Celia's mom.

After class in the afternoon, Giselle told all the students in the class. He asked the teacher who was in the classroom to bring all the students to the meeting hall because the principal had something to announce.

Immediately, the students of over ten classes sat neatly in the meeting hall of Shu City High School. Johnston was the first to speak.

“Students, I know that everyone is very dissatisfied and unhappy because the extra class of the school is taking your vacation, but I want to ask you something. If you don't try, how will you reap the rewards? Today we invite two of your seniors who are students who graduated from Shu City High School three years ago. I have asked them to talk about their learning experience and life at university. By the way, one of them was the leading light of the province for the college entrance exam and he was accepted to Greenwood University, one of the top ten universities in Somerland, he said, and the other one was also admitted to South River University, the other top ten from the university in Somerland. Let's welcome Celia Young and David Lidell, who brought victory to Shu City.” High School

After Mr. Johnston finished his speech, Celia and David came out from backstage. As soon as the two of them took to the stage, there was a lot of discussion below.

“Are they the two who were in the field this morning? I wonder why they seem familiar, it seems like they are seniors on the honor list."

"Waahhh, Celia is so beautiful. She was even prettier than her picture on the honor list. She is also good at her lessons, so she is truly the perfect goddess.”

"David is also very handsome. The value was also not bad so the two were like a matching pair standing together. What a match that has been made in heaven!"

“Yes, I envy them!”

Mr. Johnston handed the microphone to Celia. Celia picked up the microphone and said, “Halo everyone, my name is Celia Young. I was accepted to Greenwood University from Shu City High School three years ago ...”.

Subsequently, Celia began to tell him about some of her learning experiences and college life. He described it so vividly that the juniors sitting below the stage wanted him so badly.

Master Johnston nodded silently as he looked at Celia. Celia deserves her degree as the provincial front-runner for the college entrance exam. What he said was very reasonable, and he made the students long to experience university life.

This is what he meant. Motivate students so they work harder to deal with a difficult coming year in high school. It will be a crossroads where they will determine their fate.

Although a university degree does not 100% qualitatively determine the level of achievement in the second half of one's life, if one is admitted to a good university, they will have more options in the future.

After Celia finished speaking, she handed the microphone to David.

“Hello everyone, my name is David Lidell. I got accepted to South River University from Shu City High School three years ago. As for my study experience and university life, Celia has basically told everyone about it. His value is better than mine so he has more right to speak, therefore I will not talk about it anymore. Today, I will directly tell you some practical things. Shu City is a small area and per capita income is not high. Because my family was poor, I worked part-time when I was in high school. To make sure the students here won't worry about tuition and living expenses anymore, I'll set up a scholarship fund at the school. The beneficiaries of this fund are all students studying at Shu City High School while the scholarship fund will support students in two situations. First, it will include students whose families are very poor. Once they are verified by the school, they can get funding through the scholarship fund, where all tuition and living expenses will be waived. Second, students with good academic achievement will also get scholarships. If you are a poor student and have good grades, then not only can you waive all fees but you will also receive generous scholarships to subsidize your family at home. Everyone should learn without worry. That's all I can say, thank you everyone."

After David finished speaking, the entire meeting hall became silent. Not only were the students shocked, even the teachers and principals were "covered on the floor".

They even suspect that David is telling the truth. After all, he was a high school student from a poor family, and now, he had not even graduated from university. Once these funds were formed, he would need a lot of money to nurture them every year.

He was just a student who had yet to graduate from university, so how could he spend so much money?

Right now, even the principal did not know how to respond to his statement. There are about 1000 students on the scene now. David had already said this, and if he couldn't do it, then it would be very embarrassing.

Mr. Johnston looked at David with a slight annoyance. He blamed David for not discussing such a big thing with him before. The most important factor is that he doesn't know if David has the ability to do what he says.
