Chapter 8

David took Pearl to a Porsche dealership. As the two of them walked through the door, a beautiful saleswoman walked towards them. He saw them both get off the Benz G-Class, and judging from what David was wearing, he looked like a rich kid. So, he asked enthusiastically,

“Master, Miss, are you guys here to buy a car?”

“Ya!” David answered.

"May I know what model you are looking for?”

“Do you have stock for Porsche 911?”

"We have it.”

"Bring us to look around.”

“Please come with me, Mr.” The beautiful salesman took them to a Porsche 911.

"We have two of them now, one is red and one is black. May I know which one you want to see, Mr?”

David observed the car nonchalantly and replied, “I want the red one. Give me the invoice now.”

“Hah?” The beautiful salesman was dumbfounded.

'He didn't even see it and bought it straight away?

He was so rich that it was so crazy.'

“Master, will you not see it first?”

“Yes. The red one's pretty good."

The beautiful salesperson had worked here for so long and this was the first time he had seen someone buy a car like this. He only saw the outside. He didn't even look inside before asking for an invoice.

"Alright, Sir, please come with me.”

Then, the salesman led the two to the front desk and started telling David about the car's performance. “Master, this red Porsche 911 is the latest sports car with the highest specifications. Equipped with twin-turbocharged flat six cylinder engine.”.

Before he could finish, David cut it, “Alright, enough. No need to say anything more. Just tell me how much it costs.”

"May I know what settings do you want?”

“‘Turn me the best.”

“Alright, please wait. I'll count it for you.”

Two minutes later.

“Master, the total is 3.28 million dollars."

After paying David and Pearl sat on the sofa waiting for the staff to do the procedure. Pearl thought since David came to buy the car, he should have wanted it to drive for her. He can't drive a car alone.

Even though he didn't know why he chose red, he still suggested, “Darling, I don't think red suits you. Why not black? I think the black one is more suitable for you.”

"It's not for me. That's foryou. I think the red one matches your temperament, Miss Pearl." David replied with a grin.

“Forku? Honey, are you kidding?” Pearl asked in surprise.

“Do I look like I'm joking? This is for you.”

"No way, it's too expensive. I can't accept this.” Pearl quickly refused.

"Miss Pearl, since you called me dear, you shouldn't be too shy with me. You also know this money means nothing to me. This is only for one or two meals. If you refuse this, can we still have fun together in the future?”

"Pulse.. Alright. Thank you, my dear David!” Pearl was so happy.

Moreover, he still had a younger brother who had just graduated and was still unemployed, so he would send all the rest of his money home. So, even if she's been pretty and polished outside, she doesn't have a lot of savings. He would never be able to afford a luxury car like this either. In addition, any woman will love a red Porsche 911.

The beautiful salespeople walked behind them and heard their conversation. Right now, he was staring at Pearl with envy. He also wanted someone as extravagant as David who could give him a luxury car worth more than three million dollars without batting an eye.

“Master, please give me your identity card or identification number. We will help you apply for insurance and sign up for it.”

"We'll just use yours, Miss Pearl.” David looked at Pearl and said.

"David, this is inappropriate, right?”

Although David bought this car for her, Pearl thought David would just let her drive it. He did not think he would register the car on his behalf. If that's the case, the car will be his. At this moment, Pearl felt a little dizzy from this sudden shock.

“Don't I say I'll buy it for you? Do you think I'm kidding?”

“Oke, fine then. Honey, thank you so much!” Pearl gave up her identity to a beautiful saleswoman.

About ten minutes later. The beautiful man is back. "Master, it's done. This is the key and the document. You can bring it now.”

"Miss Pearl, take it. Let's go.”

After David said that, he got up to leave. When Pearl gets the documents and keys, she goes to the car. Both cars were on the road next to each other.

Not long after, David who was in front received a call from Pearl. “Honey, where are we going now?”

“‘Should we go back to the hotel for lunch now? But I'm not too hungry.”

“I didn't either." replied Pearl.

“You to my house?” ask David.

“OK!”

Both drive to South River International Residence. After they parked the car, they walked to Block-1. Of course, Pearl had heard of the South River International Residence. Plus, it was close to his workplace, so every time he walked past this place, he would look at this place enviously.

He could only dream of owning a home here. Although this dream is very far away, it would be good enough to come to see it. As they entered the Block-1 elevator, they headed straight for the 37th floor. Although Pearl was already mentally prepared before she entered, she was still stunned by the luxury in front of her.

There is a brilliant chandelier on it and one of the lobby walls has become a large French window overlooking the Leeds River. In addition, sofas, televisions, and paintings are all very luxurious. Pearl willingly lost ten years of her life just to live in such a luxurious house.

“Please sit!” David asked Pearl to sit down before pouring him a glass of water.

"David, honey, your house is beautiful. The Leeds River at night must be very beautiful from this angle, right?” Pearl asked as she pointed to the French window.

“The view is pretty good.You can come anytime you want if you want to see it. ”

"Thulkah?” Pearl asked in disbelief.

“Of course it's true!

Where are you from, Miss Pearl?”

“I'm from Cloud City. I've been working in River City for three to four years.”

“Have you bought a house here?”

"Yet. The house price here is very expensive. I don't even know when I can afford it.” Pearl sighed sadly.

“I think you should be able to get a mortgage on a house in River City with your salary, right, Miss Pearl?” asked David curiously.

“Actually my salary is not very high, and I still have to support my parents and sister. I need to pay the rent, and my clothes and makeup are not cheap, so I can't save a lot of money" Pearl said in a sad voice.
