Zavir looked at the pile of papers on the workbench uneasily. It's been five months, but Lail still shows the same attitude to him even lately every time you cross paths, the blonde-haired woman always avoids him.
"What have I done?" Zavir squeezes hair using both hands.
"What's going on, Duke?" Holland, the butler of Zavir's residence in Orcal, asked.
Zavir glanced at Holland who placed a cup of warm tea by his side accompanied by some pastries. However, his appetite was lost whenever he thought of Lail avoiding him.
"What should I do if the woman I like suddenly avoids me?"
Holland flinched, touching his chin while thinking hard. The 58-year-old man looked at Zavir with a full search. "Did Duke make a mistake?"
Zavir. "No. Ah, I don't know. As far as I know, I don't do anything that crosses the line."
Holland so dizzy made even so still give an opinion on the problem. "Then, maybe the problem is with the woman that Duke likes."
"Heah ... "
Zavir exhaled then glanced at the luxurious invitation from Hendry. There was no need for an invitation, but he said it was a formality. Well, yeah, it has been more than a month Ayse gave birth and it was a beautiful princess named Amylia Clasie but the name was only known to members of the royal family only and the party that will be held two days later will announce the name crown princess of Asylam.
"Alright, Holland. I'll finish this as soon as I can, then please take care of Orcal as long as I take care of the security of the Palace while the party for my nephew is being held."
Holland nodded his head while putting his right hand on his left chest. "Yes, Duke."
Then the day after the conversation, Zavir had been busy in the palace since yesterday afternoon but, the beautiful zazel youth did not find Lail passing by at all.
"Damn! I keep thinking about it. In that case, there is no other choice but to visit her, I will ask directly why she avoids me!" Zavir steadied himself then walked towards the pavilion.
Zavir had been standing in front of Lail's door, opened slowly and found Lail about to breastfeed Arrhur, the woman had just unbuttoned two shirts, revealing a cleavage.
For some time the atmosphere became silent, only the eyes of the two were as if they were expressing shock to each other until Zavir finally came out quickly while closing the door quite loudly and Lail hurriedly hooked the buttons back.
Lail's face was very red from embarrassment as well as a little annoyed that Zavir just walked in without knocking on the door. After quite a while of calming down, Lail finally opened the door and faced Zavir who was still at the door.
"Do you want to visit Arthur?" Lail asked but Zavir kept quiet for quite a while with a bit of awkwardness.
Lail tried to act like nothing happened so Zavir did the same.
"I want to see you." Zavir's clumsiness disappears, becoming seriousness and it makes Lail swallow his hard-earned saliva.
"For what?"
Zavir has not answered, but he steps forward unilaterally so that Lail is forced to retreat to re-enter and Zavir closes the door, leaving only him, Lail and Arthur in the room.
"Did I make a mistake that offended you?" ask Zavir.
Lail turned head bobble. "No."
"Then, why do you always dodge every time you see me?"
Lail looked away, thinking it was impossible to tell Zavir that every time he passed each other since the last time his forehead was kissed, his heart continues to beat fast plus every sweet treatment Zavir against him and Arthur makes Lail can not resist the feelings that continue to grow only to Zavir.
Even at this time, just looking at the hazel eyes of the duke made Lail completely confused due to the constant gnawing tension.
"Huh ..." Zavir touched his forehead while exhaling because the woman he loved actually bit his lower lip quite tight the horn could not answer the question.
"Stop, your lips can hurt." Zavir moves the thumb on Lail's lower lip, trying to stop Lail's stupid actions.
Nah!
Zavir was wide-eyed when his hand was pushed over quickly by Lail and now the woman took two steps back while trying to hide the face that had met completely.
"Lail?" Zavir was stunned for a moment when he saw the scene, not because he was disappointed at the edge but realized something that made his chest rumble violently.
"M-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ... " Lail hung up her sentence, not knowing what else to say but, Zavir understood and patted the top of Lail's head.
"I'll be back, so please don't avoid me again. If I'm wrong, I'm really sorry."
"You're not wrong at all." Lail said very slowly.
Zavir then came out, while Lail was now staring at the door leaf that was slowly clenched back. Lail felt guilty for Zavir, he should not have run away from this feeling.
...***...
Party held at night. Heavy meals and drinks have lined up beautifully on the long table. The guests were from upper class nobles and prominent figures. In fact, there are several important people from across the country to celebrate the feast of name recognition for the prospective crown princess Asylam.
One of the guests from another country was Gaiden and Nilyar, they only came together while his son was left in Valazad with his nanny.
The party went quite well even after the name of the crown princess candidate was announced. However, it didn't go well enough for Lail as she lazily joined the middle of the party after seeing Gaiden. The amber-eyed man would definitely make a little dispute because of the quarrel at that time so Lail chose to enjoy the night on the balcony not far from the party crowd.
"He's very popular." Lail muttered for a moment to see Zavir mobbed by some noble ladies down there.
The sexy and luxurious dressed ladies continued to follow Zavir, blurting sweet words but being praised only silently while showing a hostile expression, telling clearly that he is very uncomfortable and unwilling to be approached.
"Miss, please." A waiter came to the balcony, carrying a gold plated tray with some drinks on it.
As Lail turned her attention to grab a drink, Zavir smiled slightly at Lail on the balcony, so she hurriedly walked in and went towards Lail.
"Thank you." Lail grabbed one of the drinks and looked down again, but Zavir was gone so he looked back at the drink.
"Heah ... It's boring." Lail then gulped down the drink and was surprised to realize that it was an alcoholic drink.
Lail was silent for quite a while then gradually started to get a little dizzy, so she placed her legged title on the balcony railing while she sat down hugging her knees.
An hour passed and Lail was drunk and Zavir had just appeared. Earlier, the man had to be caught in a chat with some nobles so it was very slow to meet Lail, even thought maybe Lail was not on the balcony but who would have thought that the woman actually sat while hiding some of the face that was a bit red behind the knees hugged.
"Geez, how did you get drunk?"
Lail's eyesight was a bit chaotic, yet she was still able to recognize the man who had now taken a sitting position beside her.
"I didn't know it was alcoholic."
"Then you can't take care of Arthur tonight, it's not good for a drunk mother to take care of a child." Zavir looks worried.
"Then who will look after him? You you?" Lail pointed her index finger at the base of Zavir's nose.
Zavir chuckled as he caught Lail's hand. "of course. Let me pretend to be his father tonight."
The sparkle in Lail's eyes grew bigger and bigger, seeing Zavir's smile also hearing the man's words. "Why ... "
"Why what?" Zavir raised next to an eyebrow hearing Lail mutter.
"Why do you always show up at the right time. You shouldn't have done anything, so my feelings aren't getting any bigger."
Zavir kept silent, letting Lail continue chattering with a drunken face that was flushed red.
"I am confused as to how to deal with you with my feelings. I try to be normal, but you always do amazing things without touching me. Your words, your actions, even your gaze really make me expect something big from you." Lail touched his chest after pulling a hand from Zavir. He lowered his gaze, looking sad.
"I'm ashamed to reveal it to you." Lail was silent after saying the last sentence.
"Then just answer, it's easier than revealing."
"Answer? Answer ap—"
"I love you." Zavir interrupted quickly.
"E-uh!"
"I want to marry you. Now, what's your answer?" Zavir flashed a triumphant smile while Lail, who thought she was dreaming, began patting her cheeks slowly.
"That drink must have made me hallucinate— mm!"
Lail's eyes narrowly jumped as Zavir locked both hands down with his left hand, while his free right hand grabbed Lail's face to help them unify their lips.
"It's not a hallucination, so how do you respond?" Zavir smiled broadly after distancing his lips from Lail's.
"I ... "
