...HAPPY READING...

"G-gaiden."

Lail looked stiff to call the new Gaiden until she drove him home to the mansion. During the return trip, Gaiden reluctantly looks at Lail and continues to be silent with a hostile expression.

Lail is aware that her actions at the funeral are wrong, but that's all Lail thinks about so that Wanner realizes that she is Gaiden's lover and doesn't pursue her anymore. As a result of his own actions, Lail had to throw away his decision to end this false relationship.

"I'll be back, come in."

Gaiden did not get out of the horse carriage, letting Lail stand in front of the gate while looking at him guiltily.

Lail's hand nodded uneasily, this feeling had never existed before. It felt so crowded to see Gaiden cold to him, but Lail was convinced this was guilt, but her little heart seemed to be brushed aside. Lail was confused by her own feelings, so while being indifferent, Lail twisted her body to enter without caring for Gaiden.

Gaiden's eyes moved, observing Lail from inside the carriage. Her feelings are still chaotic because Lail made their first kiss as a tool to keep Wanner away.

"Hurry back" Gaiden told the coachman.

Gaiden rubbed his lips with his thumb, closing his eyes after exhaling heavily. "I want it again."

...***...

A week had passed and Gaiden had not visited or sent him a letter and Lail was so agitated that she thought Gaiden was still angry with her.

"Where's the hell is the hell you going?" naika asked as Lail grabbed the big robe.

Lail wore a shirt that was put in shiny tight black pants, the curves of Lail's body more beautiful when wearing pants because the curves of her hips are clearly visible.

"If anyone's looking for me, just tell me I'm taking a walk to the city" Lail said, then put on the robe and went outside.

However, the fact is that now Lail is hiring a white horse and riding it leaves Raitle for Gazea, Themelio Castle.

Kick the Lail on the horse control rope as well as the perfect sitting position when riding a horse made some people who saw it amazed. No wonder, considering that Lail is quite adept at riding and managed to win several victories in horse racing in his old life.

During the trip, Lail showed an annoyed face, not to Gaiden, but to himself. Why would he bother to see Gaiden, what if Gaiden thinks badly of him for not shaming about visiting him.

Those bad thoughts made Lail slow down the horse race, his eyes were low with sadness, it felt like crying.

"No! I just need to apologize and get back to Raitle, all right .... End our false relationship so I don't fall further into her charm." Lail steadied himself then drove back on his horse.

Time keeps rolling and Lail gets to the night. A day of horse racing makes Lail's right hand that has just recovered and not installed Sling, now feels sore and sore even slightly swollen.

Lail pulled the hand of her robe to cover her right hand and then got off the horse and entered Gaiden Castle.

"Miss?"

Sebas is shocked to see Lail coming in the night, hastily telling Lail to come in and wait in the living room with a living fireplace.

"I want to see the Grand Duke" Lail said.

Sebas was somewhat agitated, at this time Gaiden was having a guest from the Hedrixine Kingdom.

"Sorry, Miss. But the Grand Duke is currently having a guest. I hope Miss can wait here." Sebas bent low.

Lail did not reply while Sebas came out to make Lail a cup of warm tea with some sweet snacks.

Feeling that Gaiden's work would be hampered, Lail decided to go back alone without saying goodbye to Sebas, but when he was halfway out of the castle, Lail passed Gaiden by a woman.

Gaiden turns upside down while Lail freezes in his position, starting to elicit negative conjectures that leave her feeling hurt.

"Who is he?" The woman beside Gaiden turned to get an answer.

Gaiden looked at Lail so coldly and then put his hand on her shoulder. "Only the castle dwellers."

Lail's heart throbbed at Gaiden's reply while the woman exhaled while hugging Gaiden's burly arm.

"Hey, get out of the way. You're blocking our way!" exclaim the woman.

Lail squeezed the chest from outside her robe, slowly water poured from her eyes and a small suction escaped from her mouth.

"Miss?"

Sebas touched Lail's shoulder gently, long enough for Lail to turn around to look at Sebas.

"From earlier I was looking for and— eh!" Sebas was surprised to see tears wetting Lail's face.

Lail immediately rubbed a rough face and stood up straight trying to stop the cry that actually made Lail's chest seem to be going to explode.

"I'll be back now. Sorry, it's been a hassle for Sebas." Afterwards Lail stepped wide leaving the castle, grabbed the horse and spurred so quickly.

Meanwhile, Gaiden escorts the woman with him to rest in the room, her name is Estia Hieglton, the son of her third brother which means Gaiden's nephew.

"Have a rest I will take you back tomorrow" Gaiden said.

"Uncle, accompany me!" Estia spread out both hands.

Gaiden snorted angrily and said with emphasis, "Don't do much, Estia. I've restrained myself enough to let you stay here for a week."

Estia pouted. "Yes, yes, Uncle. Then good night!" Estia then closes the door while Gaiden leaves so quickly, she even runs.

"Gra-grand Duke?"

Sebas was surprised that Gaiden was close to hitting him because he passed by the junction of the corridor.

"Where's Lail?" gaiden asked, his breath hunting.

"He just came back. I don't know what happened, but she cried when she said she wanted to go back—"

"Tsk! Shit!"

Gaiden looks very anxious when cursing and then runs again without hearing Sebas' explanation until it is finished.

"I need your help, Marcus." Gaiden rubbed his dashing dark horse before riding.

...***...

Lail stopped riding, now he was walking while holding the horse's control rope, walking with the horse near the harbor because his hands were no longer able to jerk the horse's control rope.

The wind gusts until Lail's cape falls and the wind cradles Lail's blond hair.

"Did I finally like Gaiden?" muttered Lail, his gaze so sad.

"Isn't his anger too much?" Lail looked at the white horse while giving a gentle swipe at the forehead.

Now, Lail stopped stepping and quietly enjoyed the tethered ships. When the night is getting late, the port feels quiet the streets are so dim because the lighting on the road near the port has minimal lighting.

"I shouldn't have gone there." Lail smiled bitterly then leaned on the roadblock there after tying the horse rope.

"No rejection, Marry. So live life this time because something happy is waiting for you.”

A flash of memory of his conversation with the glowing woman at the time flashed.

"Since I've lived here, trouble keeps coming, it doesn't give me a break to rest. I was hesitating about something happy he said." Lail then covered her face with both hands, suddenly missing her mother.

Every time he faced a hard problem, Lail would run and tell his mother, but now Lail had nowhere to go.

"I'll find you eventually."

Gaiden suddenly appears, releasing both hands that cover Lail's face. Gaiden was sad to see a trace of tears on Lail's face.

"Sorry!" Gaiden immediately grabbed Lail tightly while kissing the top of Lail's head.
