"Lail?"
Jay gasped at the heavy noise behind, finding Gaiden standing on the lip of the door with a hunting breath.
"ah! Good morning, Grand Duke!"
Jay stood up and lowered his head for a moment in respect. Gaiden frowned, the foreign face of the man before him made Gaiden's eyebrows swoop sharply and unfriendly.
"Sorry, yes, Jay. We can talk another time." Lail threw a sweet smile.
Jay nodded and retreated, letting Gaiden and Lail face each other in the room.
"Blogs ... " Gaiden approaches Lail however, Lail leaves the starting position, approaches a cupboard and grabs the medicine box at the top of the cupboard.
"Let me do it" Gaiden snatched the box from Lail's hand.
"I'm not dealing with you. Get out," ask Lail and then grab the rough box.
Gaiden's face hardened, this was the first time Lail had been angry and ignored him.
"What do I do to make amends, Lail?" Gaiden is weak.
Lail remained silent as she focused on taking care of the red wound on her palm. Occasionally Gaiden looked and grimaced to see Lail working on the wound herself.
"All right, I'm home." Gaiden finally decided to leave.
Meanwhile, in the Royal Capital, Raixine.
The red-haired lady shoulder to shoulder with a pair of obsidian-like eyes reviewed the thin smile seeing the letter from Estia coming at him.
While breaking the dry red wet stamp, the woman took out the contents and read them.
At first he smiled witfully, but after seeing the contents of the letter, his expression turned furious to the point that the cut on the face in the form of an incision in the middle of the nose stick shriveled clearly.
"Can Gaiden get married without telling me?!" his roar.
Back to the Hedrixine Palace Estia residence.
Estia's smile never faded after sending a letter to Kyle Frein, a Lady from the Frein noble family who was knighted. Kyle is a 27-year-old woman, one of Gaiden's comrades left on the battlefield as well as a former fiancee. Well, that was about three years ago, Kyle became a candidate as Gaiden's fiancee but, the man actually rejected him for not being able to accept more relationship from a friend with Kyle.
Estia danced while raising her cup high. Lail's slap yesterday has provoked her mother's anger and maybe tomorrow her mother will come scolding Lail.
"In the meantime, a special event will be held at the Palace by inviting women from noble families both from outside and members of the royal family. At that time, I will make him humiliated as it is considered inappropriate to be with Uncle!" he said steady interspersed with booming laughter.
...***...
Justright.
When the day changed and Lail was still angry at Gaiden, Camellia came in during the day and was about to see Lail, but it turned out that there was only Gaiden there.
So Camellia vented her emotions at Gaiden and said that Lail's actions could create new problems because after all Estia was a member of the original royal family.
Gaiden grunting. "Listen, Sister-in-law. My wife didn't do anything to Estia's face. You know for yourself, don't you, that Estia likes to make lies?"
Camellia fell silent, beginning to doubt Estia's complaint about Lail. Before long, Lail returned from the perfume-making building and chirped with Camellia.
"Ah, you're here." Lail gave a head bow for a moment then threw a smile.
Camellia frowned while Gaiden swallowed the hard saliva, bewildered if Lail did anything worse than what she did to Estia. Acting too excessively and rashly on members of the royal family is not a matter of triviality, many things must be taken into account in the future.
"Please leave us." Lail turned to Gaiden, gave a cold look and began to lead Camellia to enjoy a cup of tea.
Not long after, Camellia came out of the room with Lail. Camellia's smile was too flabbergasted that Gaiden who had been standing guard outside from the beginning looked puzzled.
"Then I'm back. Sorry for misunderstanding your wife, Gaiden." After saying so, Camellia immediately came out accompanied by Lail.
Gaiden stood beside Lail and asked. "What are you doing?"
Lail was silent then the incident a while ago ringed. So, Lail gave a bottle of perfume with the base material Gardenia flowers and some other ingredients mixture that produces a thick aroma quite aromatic, feels soft and fresh.
Lail finds out information about Camellia since their first meeting and turns out Camellia is rumored to be close to a viscount widower man in Raixine, California, so Lail plans on approaching Camellia with frills giving her a little help through perfume capable of luring the man she likes.
Camellia is easily instigated and lulled into something good for her, so it's easy for Lail to manipulate Camellia to be on her side, leaving Estia even less troubled about her life with Gaiden.
"Nothing" answered Lail after leaving Gaiden.
Gaiden shuffles his frustrated hair and follows Lail, continuing to speak and begging for an apology. Along the corridor, the waiter and the guards who saw him looked at each other then chuckled at Gaiden's helplessness before Lail.
Gaiden was nicknamed the cold-blooded god of war, but the reality was inversely proportional.
"Duchess."
Sebas blocked Lail's steps in the opposite direction.
"Yes?"
"Sorry, this is an invitation for you."
For giving an invitation with a dry gold stamp after being melted at the mouth of the letter.
Lail opened slowly, reading the contents. Lail's heart was racing, the twinkle in her green eyes was widening.
"Flante Royal?" great-grandson Lail.
"Exti Royal Flante is one of the annual events of the royal family devoted to elite nobility, the event is held in a small town called Flante. The event is in the form of horse racing, different from last year, where men will get flowers for women who are loved or respected, this time the Queen wants women who give gifts to the man." Gaiden explained without being asked.
Lail listened carefully and Gaiden commented a faint smile. Lail must have wanted it so badly because of what Gaiden noticed, Lail was really good at riding horses as if she did it nonstop often.
" ... To follow her, the women need parental permission if not married while if married can ask her husband's permission."
Gaiden was kind of waist, smiling haughtily as he thought Lail would definitely ask him to speak first and pleaded spoiled for permission.
"Happyly, this husband of yours will give iz—"
"Thank you, Sebas." Lail cut Gaiden's words and resumed his steps.
"Argh! Why is Lail so horrible when she's angry!" Gaiden squashed while shuffling his frustrated hair.
"Grand Duke, please look around you," Sebas's intrusion while glancing at some of the Castle Dwellers' gazes.
Gaiden just kept quiet, he didn't care anymore. I don't know how long Lail's gonna keep ignoring him.
