22| Feeling Lail

Gaiden leads Lail into a simple victorian house in a corner of the city, a spacious courtyard with neat grass trimming.

"Stay there" said Gaiden, who was busy lighting the fireplace not far from the couch where Lail was sitting.

The rain suddenly fell on the harbor so Gaiden could not explain much to Lail except to take her to his private home near the corner of the city.

"I didn't visit you for a week because my niece didn't come because she was still angry about what happened that time." Gaiden explained, to be honest he had a hard time dealing with a young woman like Lail who had not even realized his own feelings towards her.

Gaiden picked up a new blanket in the closet and put it on Lail while she held a thick blanket on the floor. But just as she was about to go to sleep, Lail's right hand came out of the blanket.

"Jeez." Gaiden grimaced to see Lail's right hand swollen. There was no ice water here, so Gaiden sat on the edge of the bed and lightly rubbed Lail's hand to encourage blood flow. Sometimes Lail grimaced, but at that time Gaiden tried to calm Lail to sleep awake.
