...HAPPY READING...

"If you love her and have great regrets, fulfill her wishes. At least, stop urging her to accept the painful thing. Mail ... He was tired enough to endure it all!" Zavir said out loud making Lail gasp at him.

"Don't interfere. You're just a stranger in our relationship!" cetus Gaiden's.

Gaiden's words successfully resuscitated Zavir, the man was stunned for a while but, Lail's rough movements coming out of the deck made Zavir feel as if flowered.

"We're no longer in a relationship, Gaiden. Moreover, Zavir was not an outsider. Zavir has helped me so much, he has been very valuable to me. Not just Zavir, but everyone who supports me."

After saying so, Lail then pulled Zavir out but still half way, Zavir released Lail's hand.

"W-What's up, Zavir?" Lail asked, thinking that maybe his words had raised a little big question for Zavir, as the precious word had said.

"It looks like I dropped my shirt badge." Zavir reasoned while running towards the room where Gaiden was still.

"Let me tem—"

Lail's words were interrupted because Zavir had gone so far in the meantime, before Zavir had entered the room, Gaiden was still sitting limp on the floor.

"Hey."

Gaiden suddenly lifted his head, staring in bewilderment at Zavir who suddenly stood in front of him, towering like a huge, formidable tree.

"What do you want to do? You think I'm gonna stop getting Lail back to me?" Gaiden smiled cynically.

"Stop bothering Lail. After knowing that he established himself to open a new leaf, I will crush you if I want to tease him again. Besides, I could trigger a great war between Hendrixine and Asylam."

Gaiden chuckled and stood up, clutching the collar of Zavir's clothes. "You think I'm gonna believe your bluff? Sparking a war just because women are such an incredible crime, you're trying to sacrifice so many lives for just one woman? What kind of ruler are you?"

Zavir was silent, of course it was just a bluff. But ... Zavir has one card that can make Gaiden not wart.

"What if my brother and my people find out that you're harassing Asylam's daughter and covering it up with a marriage of reason to like each other?"

Hearing the words, Gaiden's heart beat faster as his eyes bulged.

"I could've done it while knowing the truth, but Nilyar didn't want that to happen. However, I need to emphasize, even though Nilyar does not want it to happen, I can use that excuse to make my own people decide to wage war. And you know, right, that the military power of Asylam is superior? Therefore, undo your intention to bring Lail."

After which Zavir immediately passed, following Lail who was faithful waiting for him while Gaiden held back the anger until his body trembled.

"Have you taken it?" ask Lail.

Zavir nodded his head while grinning widely. "It has. So, how's it going now?"

"Walking to Arthurku." Lail jeswan followed by a big smile that made Zavir stunned for a moment.

...***...

The days in Assylam happened as usual, Lail had arrived at the palace a few days ago and was busy taking care of some documents in his study while keeping Arthur who was so happy to play himself on the wooden swing making Lail occasionally laugh.

But there have been a few things that have bothered him since his return from Hendrixine. First, will Gaiden surrender. Second, what happened to Zavir because from that day Zavir did not go to the palace.

"What's with that sad face of yours?"

Lail jerks. Ayse comes again, every day.

"Is it too obvious?" Lail slipped a small smile while focusing on putting ink on some paper.

"Yes. Oh, yeah!" Ayse takes Arthur in his arms and approaches Lail.

"What's wrong?"

Lail is silent, now he stops work and focuses on what Ayse is talking about.

"Say, Zavir was busy taking care of some of the women who were candidates as his fiancee."

Lail's eyes were widened.

A fiancee?

She should be happy because Zavir is busy taking care of the future regarding the couple, but Lail feels her heart is disturbed, there is a feeling of sadness and disrelief enveloping.

"Ah, so. Good, I hope he gets a good candidate." Lail looked sad when he returned to busying himself again.

Ayse became gloomy however, his gaze fell on Arthur who was so calm in his carriage. "If Zavir gets married, then he won't be going to the palace often. He's a duke who leads one of the largest regions in Asylam. The reason often to the palace this time is your existence."

Instantly the pen in Lail's grasp slipped off, rolling until it fell off the table.

"You actually know, don't you, that Zavir likes you?" Asye looked at Lail.

Lail was silent for a moment. Take a deep breath before gathering the reason why he pretended not to know it. "I knew. But ... Do I deserve him? Think of this Asye .... "

Lail hung up the sentence while looking at Asye dejectedly, showing the feeling he had been trying to hide. "I am a widow, having nothing but Arthur. Zavir is so shining, he's a prince and duke of a large territory while I'm just a foreign woman who ran away. What if my and Arthur's whereabouts are just weighing him down? I think Zavir can get a better woman than me."

Asye was unable to reply to Lail's words. It was natural for Lail to have such anxiety, but Lail's self-awareness had injured herself. If so, then the new sheet will be difficult to scroll through.

"Why stay there?"

Rakaz whispered right next to Zavir's ear. The pale-skinned man had been there shortly Asye entered but, he broke his intentions when he was being discussed.

Zavir was not surprised by Rakaz's presence.

"I just came" said Zavir, then entered, making Lail and Asye surprised.

"Z-zavir?" Lail.

Zavir smiled slightly in response to Lail's shock, pretending as if he had heard nothing. Now, Zavir takes over Arthur in Asye's arms.

"I came here because I missed Arthur. Am I interrupting your time?" Zavir asked as he looked at Lail and Asye in turn.

Lail said nothing so Asye replied clumsily. "T-no. Ah, what about your engagement candidate?" ask Asye.

Rakaz interjected, not letting Zavir answer. "As usual, he rejected the noble ladies. Haha ... I became worried about his future, how could he have a partner if his heart was as hard as a rock."

Zavir doesn't care about what Rakaz says while Lail is a little incredulous about Rakaz.

"Really?" Asye stood up while clapping her hands. "It looks like Rakaz will precede you" Asye continued.

"I won't let it." Zavir smiled a faint smile.

"God ... Do you have a definite candidate? Just so you know, I already have a fiancee, we just have to wait for the wedding day." Rakaz ruffled his waist while showing a full expression of teasing on Zavir.

"My candidate, huh?" Zavir seemed to think then approached Lail while holding a carefree-looking Arthur grabbing his chin.

"How, Lail? Do I deserve to be your husband and father to Arthur?"

"Eh?!" Rakaz and Asye were flabbergasted while Lail felt her breath trapped in the esophagus.
