"You're not wearing my necklace?"
Zavir frowned seeing that Lail's neckline was not embedded in his necklace. Lail turned her face away, reluctant to say that the actual pendant of the necklace always reminded her of Zavir's face, so she refrained from wearing it. But, the giver looks disappointed so Lail feels bad.
"The necklace is beautiful. I was thinking of wearing it when attending an event." Lail berasalan's.
Now Lail is in the tea room holding Arthur.
Zavir shook his right index finger at Lail. "No, No. I bought it so you could wear it everyday. You have very little show, Lail. Didn't you like my gift necklace so much that it gave me an excuse like that?"
Lail immediately lowered her head, hiding her face because it was so funny to see the parched Zavir, Lail as if looking at the shadow of the tail of the dog wagging on Zavir.
"It's not because of that ..." Lail paused for a moment and raised his head. "All right, I'll wear it later."
Zavir's smile immediately appeared with the intention of leaving there because he had an appointment with the defense minister.
"I have to go. If I see you again, I hope you've worn it." Zavir leaves after grabbing the back of Lail's hand for a kiss.
Lail shook her head, then watched Arthur who had fallen asleep. His feelings are mixed at the moment, even though the time of his departure has been almost a year, Lail still has a little taste for Gaiden, but it's just the sweet memories of their time together plus every time they see the beautiful eyes of their son, Lail will be reminded of Gaiden.
"I have to settle the feelings in the past before accepting Zavir."
Meanwhile, when Zavir had returned to Orcal and was silent in his luxurious mansion, the defense minister came while carrying his daughter Katylin.
"What's the matter, Mr Gare?"
"I'm really sorry if I've taken a little Duke time. I came to ask you for help so that my daughter could become one of the people under your guidance."
Zavir then looked at the 21-year-old girl who was on the side of Gare, the defense minister.
"Reason?" Zavir asked Katylin.
Katylin gulped, her throat suddenly dry. "S-I want to become a female knight under the guidance of the Duke!"
"I'm pretty hard at training someone."
Katylin straightens the body. "No problem. I will fight!"
Zavir was silent for a moment, looking for seriousness in Katylin's eyes and then his smile broadened. "Why does a preening Miss suddenly want to be so strong?"
Katylin lowered her head, her face becoming quite red while Gare only smiled awkwardly.
"You may not know yet. Actually I was chosen as the third Prince's fiancee's candidate."
Zavir raised his eyebrows, slightly surprised. "Now I know. So what's the connection?"
Katylin exhaled. "He said being elected would not necessarily be the woman of his choice while I was very fond of the third prince. He said, he only likes women who are good at fighting, like female knights."
Zavir exhaled. Obviously Rakaz was just raking at Katylin. If you liked such a woman, Rakaz would not have chosen Katylin in the first place. His sister still likes to play with women.
"Just ask Rakaz to guide you. I don't want to add to the problem, I'm sorry, I'm Miss Katylin."
Katylin's face was suddenly grim. So, after the conversation was over, the two guests left however, Katylin's intention did not stop there. Until Zavir becomes his coach, Katylin will not stop.
...***...
Three days have passed since Katylin's request to be under Zavir's guidance and during that time the two-headed girl followed Zavir pleading.
Zavir escapes from the mansion and hides in the palace, but Katylin learns of his whereabouts. Zavir is so upset that there are rumors that Katylin is trying to seduce Zavir.
From a distance, Lail slightly turned her head to see Zavir step quickly to avoid chasing the sweet girl behind.
"I've seen that girl since yesterday. Who's she?" Lail asked Asye who walked along with him.
Lail kept quiet, kept paying attention. Until an unexpected moment, Zavir suddenly stopped and faced Katylin, letting the girl hit the chest of her field.
"Ouch!" Katylin grimaced while rubbing the base of the nose.
"All right, I agree. But I did not teach you, but my confidant. She's a pretty reliable female knight in the palace, I can only do that for you."
Katylin's smile is perfect. He instantly grabbed Zavir's two hands and cupped them while grinning widely. "Thank you, Brother-in-law!"
Zavir exhaled with a smile of relief because from now on his sister-in-law will not bother anymore.
Seeing the incident from a distance, Lail immediately turned her face and walked over, her face slightly disappointed.
"What's up, Lail?" ask Asye.
"It's okay."
Asye hid a thin grin before saying, "You're jealous, aren't you?"
Lail stopped, suddenly facing Asye who still maintained a mischievous smile.
"Jealous for what?" Lail frowned.
"Because Zavir looks warm on that girl?" Asye turned her shoulders indifferently while enduring the naughtiness of seeing the man they had just talked about had been behind Lail's back.
Lail was silent, feeling caught off guard for giving that expression when she saw Zavir with Katylin. "I'm not jealous!" Lail denies, still unaware that Zavir is behind her.
"Then why rush after seeing it?"
Lail became annoyed because Asye seemed to corner him. So, as he was weaving his lips and folding his hands in front of his chest, Lail replied, "That's ... Because my work piles up."
"Isn't your job done so come to see me to hand over all the paperwork?"
Lail flinched then turned around while closing her eyes. "I'm not jealous! I was just annoyed to see Zavir so close to another woman after expressing feelings for me!" unconsciously Lail said out loud and it surprised Asye and Zavir.
"Something seems to be a misunderstanding here." Zavir smelled a smile.
Again. Lail gasped to catch Zavir's voice so close to him, that when he opened his eyes, Lail saw that the tip of his shoe had come into contact with the tip of Zavir's brown shoe. Hurriedly Lail looked up and sure enough, the old man had already ducked down, looking at him while smiling shadyly.
"Ah, fuck!" Lail immediately broke eye contact by looking down, allowing her hair to cover the right left side of her face.
Feeling that it would ruin the sweet moment, Asye quietly went from there and at that moment, a pair of Zavir's big hands slipped into the jaw of Lail's face, slightly moving upwards so that Lail could look back at him. Now, they were back in the line of sight but, Lail was quick to look the other way with a soft red tinge of makeup.
"That's ... You heard it wrong." Lail convoluted in a very slow voice.
Zavir was stunned for a second before chuckling but then, Zavir's eyes dropped on the necklace embedded in Lail's neckline. "The necklace looks much more beautiful on your neck."
Lail followed Zavir's line of sight and became awkward. "Thank you."
"Ah, about that. Actually he's Rakaz's fiancee, he's asking to be trained to meet Rakaz's criteria."
"Ah, so." Lail felt a relief in her chest.
"But ... How long are you gonna cupping my face like this? The servants are watching us" Lail's great-grandson.
But, Zavir as if not caring for even the most shocking of him, the hazel-eyed man landed a light kiss on his forehead.
"Ah, yes, please give this to Arthur." Zavir grabbed Lail's right hand, gave her a small wooden mace-like toy, and when moved it made a noise.
Still confused and surprised, Lail only accepted the object and let Zavir who left just like that while humming cheerfully.
