"It's so good, Grand Duchess!"
Nilyar smiled after sipping a cup of green tea accompanied by some beautiful pastries on a flower-patterned plate.
"You're so presumptuous, yeah." Lail clasped her hands while glancing at the scenery outside the glass wall in the tea room, observing the garden that was doused in the sun.
Lail enjoyed the time to enjoy a cup of tea by herself, but suddenly Nilyar joined in without asking for permission, poured tea and sipped without burden.
"Drawn?" Nilyar.
"I haven't given you permission, have I?" Lail looked at Nilyar.
Nilyar looked down. "Ah, sorry, Grand Duchess. I'm used to it, if you don't forget, I'm the Princess of the Assylam Kingdom."
Lail almost spouted laughter but, swiftly shut up made Nilyar so upset because he felt ridiculed.
"That's there, right now you're only Grand Duke Valazad's second wife, your position is under my feet. So, don't be too cocky" Lail said.
Nilyar's face flushed. "Why is the Grand Duchess so rude?!"
"Please escort her out Naika," Lail orders Naika.
Naika nodded her head, immediately standing in front of the door that was wide open. "Please, Madam."
This was the first time that Nilyar had been treated badly by a stranger. In Assylam there will be no one who dares to offend him because behind him there are three deaths ready to be a punishment for his intruders, but the three deaths are far from him.
Nilyar rushed away, but when he passed Gaiden, Nilyar's tears broke.
"Does the Duchess hate me so much, Grand Duke?" nilyar asked, facing Gaiden.
"What's wrong with you?"
Nilyar rubbed a speck of water at the corner of the eye. "The Duchess said, my position was under her feet and now I'm not the Princess of the Assylam Kingdom when I was here" she said.
"Why so sad? What Lail said was true, it's best to go back to my room and not disturb my wife's peace." Gaiden passed.
"But I'm also your wife, Grand Duke!" Nilyar said loudly.
Gaiden looked back and Nilyar did the same.
"Yes, I know. But just a wife, you're not the woman I love."
The two amber-eyed people instantly moved away from each other, Gaiden looked calm yet, Nilyar had been burning with emotion.
"Can I come in?"
The door was knocked, Lail found Gaiden there and nodded her head. Feeling a bit of forgiveness, Gaiden sat across from Lail awkwardly.
"I still have business outside, so enjoy your time here."
Dismissed by Gaiden's hopes of talking for longer, Lail passed by like a gentle gust of wind, whipping through the roughness of his feelings that had worsened over the past few weeks.
Not wanting more restraint, Gaiden grabbed Lail's body from behind while closing the door after Naika was pushed outside
"Whatever I'll do to get forgiveness from you, Lail. Please ... Don't ignore me like this."
Lail could feel her nape wet with tears, despite trying to prevent her while begging for forgiveness, Gaiden held her loose enough to keep herself from getting hurt. Gaiden is afraid that if he hugs Lail too tightly, his wife will be even more devastated.
"Great injuries don't recover quickly, Gaiden." Lail then took off both big hands from his body, going away from there.
"Not recovered quickly? Then, how long do I have to wait for you to grant me forgiveness, Lail?" lirih Gaiden's.
...***...
Entering the office with the sign of the plaque of justice, Lail took a deep breath and filled the chair face to face with the law-savvy people of the country.
Lail took down the cape making the Adjuster (law counsel) dumbfounded.
"What did the Grand Duchess do here?" whispered.
"What do you think people would do if they were to meet you?"
The adjuster's lips then thinned, "Sorry. So, please story, Grand Duchess."
Lail began to give a gap to the lips, revealing a number of questions and explanations that further eroded the shock of the Adjuster.
" ... You can do it, Grand Duchess. But, are you sure you want to do it?"
Lail's eyes were slightly down, a fondness painted along with a dim spirit. "I'm just on my guard. If you're sure, please help me."
Adjuster's pity was still floating because the fear of Gaiden had sunk in him first.
"Please."
The Adjuster immediately nodded his head. "Yes, I'll work on it, Grand Duchess." .
...***...
The clattering of steps sounded in unison, some of the maids dashed away while carrying some rolls of cloth.
Lail frowned seeing this after coming home from the adjuster office, then Lail asked Sebas about what was going on. He said Nilyar was determined to soak himself for most of the day because Gaiden kept ignoring him and it was a danger to the pregnancy so that Gaiden was in Nilyar's room.
Lail came to see however, the pain radiated like a tendril grounding his body. Gaiden clutched Nilyar tightly in a large thick blanket, Gaiden was so worried that the sweat of corn kernels adorned the temple.
Noticing Lail's presence, Nilyar slightly smiled at the sarcastic smile.
"How can you do this without thinking about your content, Nilyar?" Lail asked after approaching the two.
Nilyar was frightened to hear Lail's tone so that he tightened himself on Gaiden's gallant body.
"He's not doing well, please scold him later, Lail," Gaiden said.
Lail's jaw hardened while Gaiden immediately ignored and focused on justifying the blanket on Nilyar's shivering body.
Sebas cut off contact from there, unable to see Lail's fist making a cut to the palm.
"Grand Duchess, let's go back first." Sebas touched Lail's shoulder.
Lail went straight from there to the room. Long enough to think hard while touching the ink pen tightly on the grip.
"I've guessed that something like this might happen, not just once. The woman was even willing to endanger her child-to-be just to get Gaiden. If it continues this way ... " Lail exhaled heavily and then began to carve a letter to send to Rosea.
"Please send this secretly to Hendrixine, give it to Her Majesty the Queen."
Lail had placed a red, hot liquid stamp on the white envelope cover while handing it to Daval.
"Okay, Grand Duchess."
...***...
Morning greeted, birds chirping still heard when the sun was overhead, so hot, Lail thought she would burn if she kept quiet outside while enjoying the fresh air.
Lail leaned back tiredly on the body of the leafy leafy tree in the company of Naika who was busy pouring black tea for her.
"I haven't seen Daval since yesterday, where is he, huh?" Naika asked.
Lail watched Naika for a moment, recalling her first encounter where Naika cried while worshipping forgiveness, making Lail laugh.
"What's up, Grand Duchess?" ask Naika drunkenness.
Lail wiped the water at the corner of the eye. "You know a lot about how to make perfume and manage a business when I'm not around, right, Naika?"
"Yes, it's because the Grand Duchess hasn't stopped teaching me."
"Then, please keep doing that, I want you to stop being my servant one day and continue the business." Lail closed her eyes accompanied by a fluffy smile as the wind gently greeted the body, playing with her strayed hair.
"Why suddenly?" Naika then approached, her face was so anxious.
"I want freedom, even though everyone thinks I should be at peace with the current conditions, accepting Nilyar's presence. But, I am not a roomy-hearted woman, not a woman who can easily share her husband's feelings with others. I'm a greedy woman at what I have, other than that ... I won't win this fight because I don't have what Gaiden covets most, but I always hope to give something else that suits me."
"Grand Duchess ..."
Naika called out a wail, but Nilyar's presence simultaneously messed up the atmosphere. The woman who was about to die from the shivering had stood firmly in the company of two servants.
" ... I'm so sad." Nilyar was singing his lips while shaking his head.
Naika immediately stood up, clenching her hands on the side of the body. "What's that expression, Princess?"
"Take your tone, waiter. I'm just conveying my sympathy."
Lail stood up, pulling Naika to his side. "I don't need your sympathy."
"Come, go Naika."
Lail passed by, the road behind Nilyar however, the silver-haired woman turned around and again said, "If you are a Grand Duchess, but the heir to the Grand Duke will be born first from my womb. How's yours?"
Nilyar's arrogance has created a change of direction, Lail again faced Nilyar and then threw a loud slap until their servant was stunned.
"That's how clever you've been talking after almost taking the life of your future son." Lail blurted cynically.
"Lail, what did you do to her?!"
A rough pull from behind on his arm made Lail stagger slightly. Gaiden shows up and keeps him away from Nilyar.
"She's pregnant, how could this be so cruel, Lail?" Gaiden helps the almost unsteady Nilyar.
The throbbing pain was felt in the arm that Gaiden had blocked just now but the pain did not come from there.
