The Duke Daughter Life

The Duke Daughter Life
02| Meet Female Protagonist in Novel

...HAPPY READING...

In the novel titled 'The love story of Lady Aekkan', the antagonist named Lail Manuella is described as arrogant and at will, always violating strict rules and conventions, not infrequently he violated the ethics of the nobility just for the sake of venting emotions on the people who offended him.

Lail Manuella, only a grumpy woman who knows nothing but fun and pursues the love of Wanner, a Marquess who becomes her fiance.

Now, Marry Heilton has become Lail Manuella, forgetting her name because this is her new life. Although it is so difficult to adjust, but he will try because there is no other choice but to live it.

Lail unceasingly looked at his face at the mirror reflection. Nothing has changed, Lail Manuella is really her twin in this world, unfortunately the characters are both different until Lail Manuella found a tragic death.

"Miss, breakfast is ready."

The servant who was crying yesterday and begging for forgiveness came, head bowed with both hands looking worried.

"Come here." Lail left the bed, walked towards the sofa and sat there leisurely.

The young servant approached and rested before Lail. Lail's gaze made her tremble while Lail guessed who this servant was.

"What's your name?" Lail asked.

"Naika, Miss."

"Follow your head" said Lail.

Naika, the 18-year-old girl raised her head, but her eyes remained low.

"Regarding yesterday I'm sorry, I know I've crossed the line and therefore, I promise I won't torture you, Naika. But promise to serve me faithfully."

Naika was intrigued, it took Naika a long time to nod her head in order to accept the oath to Lail which still made her skeptical.

"Then bring my breakfast here. I just wanted to eat in the room" Lail and Naika immediately rushed to bring breakfast using a silver trolley to Lail's room.

After finishing breakfast, Lail cleaned up then coupled with a silk peach dress with crimped chiffon sleeves along with a volume outer skirt, Lail looks charming. Not as usual, now Lail deliberately stroked her wavy bright blonde hair instead of being bunned and filled with flashy hair accessories as usual plus Lail's thick makeup became thin, looking more natural.

While passing through the corridor to the tea room, some residents whispered blatantly to see the figure of Lail who looked different after hearing the story where Lail locked herself in the tea room until night.

The gait, body movements, manner of speech, appearance of even Lail's manners really made all the inhabitants of the mansion dumbfounded. Recalling how Lail would get angry, commenting on all the servants' work even made a fuss by having the coachmen drop her off early in the morning to meet Wanner, her fiance.

But, this time even Lail had no intention of getting out of the mansion and preferred to enjoy a cup of tea and some neatly arranged scones on a unique multi-storey container. Lail felt her burden as the princess of the kingdom of La Centre evaporate.

"My family is still sad right now." Lail smiled bitterly after taking a sip of his tea and then threw a glance at the garden scenery outside the glass wall.

Daval who was at the front of the inner door was just watching Lail from that distance, looking at the bitterness on Lail's face, Daval opened his voice.

"Sorry, Miss. Do I need to call the Marquess here?" ask Daval.

Lail paused miserably then knocked on the index finger on the table repeatedly. Not answering Daval's question, Lail instead thinks about how to solve his first problem, namely breaking off the engagement with Wanner because in the novel, Lail died because it was blinded by Wanner's love. If Lail breaks off the relationship between the two, all will be done because Lail does not love Wanner, a stranger to her.

"Don't." Lail shook her head then smiled faintly as she looked at Daval. "Bring Lady Aikkan here. Treat him very well, Daval."

Daval was surprised, is this a good thing? Daval looked doubtful, Aiksa Kilin was the daughter of Viscount Atkor's family, as well as Wanner's mistress, everyone knows that Wanner prefers Aikkan over Lail and even openly announces to some that he loves only Aikasi.

Lail chuckled little seeing the tension hanging on Daval's face. "Calm down, Daval. I'm not gonna make a fuss."

Daval breathed a sigh of relief then nodded his reverence and began to pick up Aiksa.

Wearing an ordinary dress with a cloth instantly dropped, Aiksa had arrived at Lail's residence.

"Please follow me."

Daval then led Aijakan to the tea room, where Lail had been waiting for him with a few snacks and an extra cup to host Aekan on the empty seat opposite him.

"Miss, I've brought Lady Aikse."

Lail gave the code to Naika who had been in the room with him since then to open the door. As the door opened, Lail was amazed to see how the form of Aikksa, the actor was successful in the novel. Aiksa looked meek and full of fear, having a thin body with pale skin that was quite a contrast to her wavy dark brown hair, she said, Aiksa looks more charming just that Lail is not so happy when knowing another reality that Aikkan is his fiancee's affair.

"Sit down, Lady Aikkan." Lail moved her right hand politely towards the empty seat opposite her. While gulping hard saliva, Aiksa stepped slowly and filled the chair.

Naika approached, lifted the kettle and filled the Aikasi cup with black tea then Naika returned to her starting position as well as Daval. This time, Lail asked Daval to open the door wide, if it was closed it would create a bit of trouble in the future.

"Did you invite me here just to threaten me to stay away from the Marquess?" Aikasi suddenly pointed.

Lail almost spouted out a laugh, what the fuck? Though it was treated quite politely, but suddenly spoke in a high enough tone and full of emotion before Lail expressed her point.

"Basic doesn't know himself. Though I haven't said anything, but your mouth is already brazen," Lail sneered as she clasped her hands across her chest, revealing her powerful aura to Aiksa who looked trembling and embarrassed.

Aikkan continued to look down until his face was not clearly visible. Lail exhaled then told a shocking thing that made Aikasi endure her happiness.

"I decided to stop being Wanner's fiancee."

Daval was surprised to hear that and Naika. That easy? Though Lail can not even survive if a day does not see the nose of Wanner and now say that about the termination of the engagement? Is this Lail's new wits? Daval.

"Why suddenly?" Aikasi asked.

Lail gave a rude snort then locked onto Aikan's gaze quite intensely. "Let's just say I'm aware of my stupidity. Well, after all, there's no place for Wanner in my heart so it's fine to donate a Wanner for you because Wanner really wants to be in your grasp." Lail smiled sarcastically before continuing her sentence again. "I hope you'll pass it on to Wanner because I'm reluctant to see the cheater again."

After ending her explanation, Lail calmly sipped her cup of tea while Aikkan was slightly offended that Lail said she donated the Wanner to him.

"It's only natural that the Marquess wants to be with me! It's all Lady Lail's fault for being rude and shameless to the Marquess! Me and the Marquess love each other, so there's no need to say this because in the end your engagement will be ruined kare—"

The long words full of emotion Aikta stopped when Lail put the cup rough enough on the coaster until a crack appeared on the lip of the cup to the bottom.

"Without me, you are the shameless, Lady Aikasi. Already know that we're engaged why are you still getting close to Wanner? If you're as good as people say you are, you shouldn't accept a man who's engaged and being his mistress. You didn't even stop after finding out her fiance was suffering so much because of your crazy relationship!" Lail felt her emotions were boosted considering how Lail Manuella had previously been so miserable because Wanner and Aikta continued to spread intimacy.

Lail stood up from his position then reaffirmed. "I'll end my engagement to Wanner. So, I hope after this don't bother me about my life!" after saying so, Lail left there but, before that, gave Daval the order to escort Aeka back while Lail visited Anom's study, Lail's father and the Duke of Raitle.

Anom seemed busy with a few piles of files on the table, occasionally his face frowned tired as the files continued to grow.

"Excuse me, Duke."

Anom focused forward, finding Lail coming in and standing in front of the desk. While Anom was stunned to hear Lail calling him duke and not father, what had he missed so much that Lail changed so much? Anom can see only from Lail's body gestures when speaking also the appearance is not as good as usual.

"Yes?" Anom again focused on inserting signatures on some files.

"I want to end my engagement to the Marquess Arche, as soon as possible."
