Secrets of the Former (Love Left Behind)

Secrets of the Former (Love Left Behind)
Thirty Five

There's a new development in Nevan's life. Now, he doesn't need to sleep to dream. Even with open eyes, Nevan has drifted away in her past dreams.

Tomorrow, even a week he has not seen Gantari. I don't know the news, but I never stop thinking about it.

Sleeping pills that usually can always solve the problem, now only able to make him sleep half an hour. He's almost crazy like that.

"Oi!"

Fikri's shout did not surprise Nevan at all. Not even a glance.

"Cie, who is getting married tomorrow nightdream," seduced Fikri. He stepped up and shook his body beside Nevan with a smile.

However, it was not long since he immediately realized something.

"Lo hesitated, huh?"

Nevan still refused to answer. He stared at the television screen that never lit up as usual.

"Lo idiot or crazy?" Fikri's voice was rising. "If you don't want to get married, what is marriage?"

He was breathing rough. Staring inexhaustibly with the actions of the friend.

"Don't be a coward, Dion!"

Fikri forgets when he last called Nevan by her childhood name.

"If you're a gini, you're not just ruining your life, but Shaness's life too!" spray Fikri wrath. He stood up and rubbed his face rough.

"Who?"

Nevan finally turned her head, looking at Fikri who was now shaking her waist. However, Fikri gasped. Although he knew Nevan had a light skin color, he only realized that Nevan looked so pale today.

"Who's the girl who made you doubt gini?" fikri continued slowly.

"Dihyan," replied Nevan no less slowly. He looked back at the television in front of him. His eyelids were heavy, but his brain did not allow him to sleep.

Fikri. I don't understand what he just heard.

"He showed up again?" Fikri quickly sat back next to Nevan with widened eyes.

"long story. I don't have the energy for stories" Nevan replied lazily. His head throbbed, so he poked his forehead for a moment.

I heard Fikri breathing again. "It's not a date, Nevan. Here, wedding! Long-term. Lifetime," pressed Fikri.

"Keep, now how am I supposed to?" ask Nevan weakly.

"Yes, be selfish!" fikri replied. "Cancel this marriage."

"And after that Shaness will be destroyed alone," Nevan replied flatly. His gaze glared, then softly continued, "He will also definitely hate me."

Fikri knows exactly who "he" Nevan means; the former, who else does? But then he agreed.

"What if you go far first. Ninggalin Shaness is the same as him. Fair, right?" fikri's advice again.

Nevan turned her head, then looked at Fikri flatly. "Who said I shouldn't be a coward?"

Fikri grinning the horse. "The fruit of the malakama, anyway, lo problem." He paused for a moment, then threw his back against the back of the sofa. "Jude, deh. Just walk it if it is."

"Thank you for the idea that you didn't help," hardened Nevan.

"Hey! Where are you going?" shouted Fikri.

"Sleep," Nevan replied without bothering to turn her head.

***

Nevan had been sitting in the car for half an hour. There was nothing he did, other than pensive. Nearby is a narrow alley that occasionally looks like a motorcycle is coming in and out of it.

Tonight is so quiet. At least, that's what Nevan feels. He moved his hand to open the door and slowly walked out of it, then with a giant step he walked down the narrow alley. Luckily, there was an incandescent lamp that emitted a golden light that illuminated his footsteps.

His steps stopped right near the mahogany tree. Across the street, he could clearly see a white house with shelves of flowers in front of him.

His heart warms when he sees someone he wants to see, Gantari.

The woman was sitting on a wooden patio chair wearing a maroon knitting suit. In the ears attached handsfree white, it looks like he is listening to a song.

Nevan unconsciously resumed his steps. The closer, the clearer he saw Gantari staring blankly at the end of the table in front of him.

Intending to look silently from afar, Nevan's feet were so brash, that he was now standing right in front of Gantari and made the woman look up in shock, then looked at her with wide eyes.

Gantari suddenly pulls her handsfree and inexplicably, she suddenly feels her blood rustling when she sees Nevan in front of her.

Just a week without seeing him, Nevan looked so thin, although now his face was clean without sideburns.

"What's wrong?" asked Gantari after managing her heartbeat.

Nevan just shut up. He was still staring at Gantari, a long time ago.

"I asked, there needs to be a. ..," he said cut because Nevan interrupted.

"Tomorrow I'll get married."

Gantari gulped her hard-earned saliva. "I know," he said bitterly.

Nevan smiled bitterly. He took a step forward and took a sitting position next to Gantari. Then, with a quick movement he laid his body and put his head on Gantari's lap, to make Gantari's body stiffen. Reflexes, he keeps his hands away from Nevan.

Just now he was about to push Nevan's head, when Nevan with his eyes closed said, "I haven't slept in a few days. Let me sleep for a while."

Gantari still felt her whole body stiffen, as Nevan continued, "For tomorrow morning I can strongly pronounce the commitment."

Basic, Nevan! He did not know if Gantari's look had turned hurt. He even looked away and tightly pursed his lips. His face was red. There was a pain in there that he desperately endured.

This time, Gantari chose silence and let Nevan curl up in her lap. He knows it's not only hard for him, but for Nevan as well.

Actually, Nevan wasn't completely asleep. He just closed his eyes and let himself feel comfortable. His breathing rhythm seemed so regular. He felt a burden in his heart as if lifted, though perhaps only temporarily.

Ten minutes, yes, only ten minutes Nevan lay down as he slowly rose and straightened himself, then looked at Gantari softly.

"That's enough," he said. "If it takes too long, I'm afraid to change my mind" he continued.

Nevan slowly stood up and walked away without even turning her head once because today must all be over. Everything was.

"Hi! Me, Nevandra Ardiona. The person I love the most is Gantari Dihyan Irawan and will forever be. If until one day I deny it, any of you can beat me to death and I'm sure I won't sue."

Gantari put up her handsfree again and the recording of Nevan's voice spun over and over again on her phone.
