The sound of sirens echoed again, making Nevan seem trapped in de javu. He ran with the nurses pushing the gurney and there was an unconscious Gantari on top of the gurney.
Nevan's breath was puffed. Thought garbled. What exactly is going on?
It was all okay. Everyone was happy, but why is this now?
A Doctor comes out of the IGD and Nevan immediately jumps up to him.
"How, Doc?"
"You're his relative?"
Nevan nodded. "I am her husband."
The glasses doctor looked at Nevan. "Mrs Gantari is fine. No serious injuries, but ... can you come with me to the room?"
...****************...
"What exactly happened?" Nevan pulled her hair with both hands. Her tears broke for the first time in the waiting room. He doesn't even care about Tom and his wife.
Utami, who also came to the hospital, looked at Nevan with concern. He approached Nevan and wanted to try to cheer up the boss, but he didn't know what to say.
"I .. I don't know why Gantari climbed the fence."
Nevan set her breath, then looked at Utami who was standing nearby. "Want to climb the fence?"
Utami nodded strongly. "Yes, Sir. When I went out to call Gantari, he climbed the fence. After that, Gantari fell." Utami was silent for a moment as if weighing, then continued, "It's not that she's pregnant again, but why instead."
Helaan's breathing rough again Nevan exhaled. He no longer wants to ask. His mind was chaotic, his heart was broken, his life was instantly in shambles.
Gantari was conscious and the nurse allowed only one person to swipe in. Tom and his wife choose to go home and pray for Gantari through Nevan. Utami chose to wait outside.
Gantari felt his body crumpled, even though only the elbows were blisters and his back head felt a little pain. It shouldn't be an excuse to make her flood tears like this, right?
"Dion?"
Nevan who had been looking down beside him just muttered, unwilling to look at him. Both of his hands were clinging as if he was holding something back.
Nevan finally turned her head, trying to return Gantari's hard-earned gaze. He knew Gantari was crying. He knew Gantari needed comforting words from him, but his own heart was also breaking. He cannot take care of the hearts of others, if his own heart is not careless.
"Why are you quiet?"
"How should I go?" Nevan sighed deeply, for some time today.
Gantari looked at Nevan in disbelief. Her tears flowed back in silence.
...****************...
There are things that we know, but still do not want to understand. There are things that even though we understand, but still do not want us to accept.
"You're overtime again?"
Nevan, who just got home from work tonight, looks over. He does not realize that Gantari is waiting for him on the sofa in front of the television.
"Much work."
Nevan was about to continue her steps towards the room, but Gantari immediately stood up from her seat violently.
"Don't punish me like this, Dion!" gantari shouted unable to bear. Yes, since the incident in Surabaya their relationship became tenuous. Nevan rarely invites him to talk and only answers Gantari questions as necessary.
"I'm tired, Dihyan."
"When do you want? When are you gonna get me?"
Nevan turned her body quickly, looking at Gantari sharply. "Until I understand your actions!"
Gantari. There was a scratch that cut his heart and it was deep. "Why don't you think that's the reason?"
"Make what? If I knew, would my son live again?" Nevan took a breath, then exhaled it violently. "From the beginning you didn't expect him, did you?"
Gantari's tears slowly drip. He looked at Nevan without blinking. Nevan doesn't seem to care. Her husband turned his body and continued to walk towards the room.
There are things I know, but I still don't want to understand. There are things that even though I understand, but still I do not want to accept.
