Papa's Little Daughter

Papa's Little Daughter
Shan Asks for Water Paint

I held Shan's hand into one of the biggest malls in the capital. Not just the two of us, but the three of us with Wanda as well. I did deliberately invite him, because I thought that if it was just the two with Shan alone I would be bored.

Make no mistake, I'm not being aggressive. Yes, yes I do like Wanda, but I will not over-act sat-set-sat-set like that. No. gabe. I will keep thinking about his feelings too. If he likes me, let him express his feelings first. I don't thirst to be loved and I don't rush into it.

"Shan! Hey!" Shan suddenly let go of my arm and chose to grab Wanda's hand which she had walked in front of me.

Wanda just turned her head and smiled, then clasped tightly onto the little brat's hand. I finally equated my steps with his, then grabbed Shan's other hand. Now the three of us join hands with Shan who is in the middle.

"Papa, papa, this is really not a mall that Shan visited with aunt Yola?"

"Yes not." I replied.

Stand in front of a very high escalator ladder. I was just about to carry Shan away from the boy noisily being able to go up. Uh, but Shan refused. "Shan wants to go up by himself."

Shan then grabbed Wanda's hand back. I just nodded at him, and took a place behind these two people because if it was three rows it wouldn't fit the escalator.

Our three feet step on the escalator stairs and... Shan's hand to Wanda suddenly slipped. But I was lucky to hold Shan's body which almost toppled backwards.

"Now! Nahay!" nagging me while glaring at him. Shan immediately hugged my body very tightly, like a baby koala.

"Tomorrow Shan ask for a sling papa aja if ride es—es—esklotor."

"Escalator dear.." said Wanda with soft sangaaaaat. I was so surprised to hear that voice. Wanda must be singing very melodious. Why do I imagine her singing? Haha... I must be crazy.

"Where's Chan, Shan?!" peeking Wanda suddenly in a panic condition. I also panicked too. Shan, the boy's missing!

"Shan! Shan's! Shan!" Call Wanda in the crowd.

I called him too, but there was no word from Shan. I'm getting more panicked because the horde of people who came more and more, Shan's trail is completely gone now.

"Ck! Where is the boy."

"Chan!" call Wanda suddenly. Wanda's hand then pointed towards a stationery store that was a large landscape painting clearly displayed from behind the glass. And the little brat we're looking for is crouching right in front of the painting.

I ran straight into the store.

Ctuts...

One hard pinch I pinned directly on Shan's thigh. He grimaced in pain then stood up from his position.

"You yeah! Why play go so don't you tell me your dad and aunt first?! What if you say ha?!

"Shan's... Shan just wants to see this pa. Painting."

I pinched it again, this time even harder and not just once. But many times. I'm so angry with this kid. Coulda-can be...

"Udah Chan.." - Lerai Wanda. All right I'm stopping. I then pulled Shan's hand, holding him firmly. If necessary I'll tie it with a rope so he doesn't play run away again.

"Shan still wanted to see the painting" Shan said.

"We don't have time Shan. Your aunt is tired, papa is tired too. Let's just find a dress shop and keep buying the clothes you want then go home."

"Lhh papa..." Shan now started whining. His body is heavy now, I'm having a really hard time pulling him out. I glared at him again and again, but Shan did not give up, he increasingly pulled himself in the opposite direction. Wanda can only gawk at us. He must be very surprised.

"Shan enough!" One blow finally came out of my mouth. Yes, I snapped at him in front of the rather densely packed shop-goers. In front of Wanda too.... Now maybe my value as a perfect papa has plummeted in Wanda's eyes. Sorry, Nda. But I can't help it anymore.

"Hiks... Hicks..." Shan's mainstay moves he's out now. All eyes are centered on us. Embarrassed? It's obvious, but yeah how else.

I suddenly started gaping because Wanda was crouching. He knelt down and then pulled Shan into his arms.

Shocked, unexpected, and... I was honestly touched.

Why is she so motherly?

Shan's cry instantly subsided. It's not usually the kid is like this. It was all thanks to the treatment Wanda gave.

Should I thank you now?

"Shan, let's go out and keep looking for the shirt shop you want. We have to save time Shan, he said you were going to play at my house too, right? Well if long here later hunt the afternoon. In the afternoon, what time is Shan? Shower right? Yeah, Shan, we need a bath too, baby." said Wanda, giving Shan an understanding.

"But... But.. But aunty, Shan still wants to see. Give Shan a minute, five minutes. Yes tan?"

Wanda nodded her head. I saw him just amazed, unable to act anything. I'll just obey Wanda's orders, not Shan's.

Wanda began to walk around the stationery shop with Shan's hands always in her arms. They look at everything that is there. I who was not painstaking to follow only chose to sit on the sofa provided in the corner of the room, but still keep an eye on them.

Until a while later I saw the two of them were stopping at a neat rack spot. I don't know what spot it is, and why Shan looks to whine at Wanda there. I guess I should get to them soon.

"What's this?" my many.

Shan immediately dodged behind Wanda's body, his hand tightly grasping the end of the dress the woman was wearing. Shan seemed to still be scared of me because I snapped earlier.

"This is Chan, Shan's asking for watercolors."

"That aunt, why do you know papa anyway?" Shan seemed to be inadmissive. He then moved away, went to the corner of the empty room then crouched down and hugged his own knee. He's upset with Wanda too now.

"Seek to buy some watercolors, what's Shan doing?" I'm the one who didn't get any response from Shan. The boy didn't even look at me.

"Oh okay if that's not so papa buyin watercolor."

Shan immediately looked up, then held my hand that was about to leave after saying that.

"Shan wants to paint pa" he said with a very deep look. I know he really meant it. But back to his very small age.

"The water paint is for the already big Shan, if the Shan's age is packing a color pencil or crayon."

Yes, my words are true. Moreover, Shan was not able to be separated from adult supervision. So what if when she's alone later and tasting watercolors? Shan has not been able to distinguish what jam and watercolor are. Especially if the color is brown, Shan must think it is brown jam if you forget.

And one more thing, how are you going with the state of the house wall later? Ahh uti and his leg will definitely faint if Shan suddenly paints the entire wall of the house.

"So Shan can ask for watercolor if it's SD?" Finally after a long argument the boy understood.

"Yes Shan, sorry."

"Okelah. Shan will wait that way."

I immediately kissed her forehead. Feeling proud of this daughter of mine whose thoughts I can finally soften. Thank you Shan good boy...

...***...

"Wahh very good Shan. Shan is getting prettier now!"

"Oh yeah pa?"

I also nodded. The boy ran to the mirror in the closet. Seeing his reflection while circling and piercing his new clothes.

"Let it go! Let it go! I'm like elsa, aren't I?" the question is not to forget that cosplay is his favorite cartoon character. I can only nod and nod. Trying to make her heart happy.

"Eh oiya, his brother Salsa is the same brother Jimmy we love now!" shan exclaimed, who immediately dragged me to the room of his two cousins, which was right in front of our room.

Tok tok...

Shan knocked on their bedroom door and they finally came out. There was even a Yola coming out of there.

"Sister Salsa, this brother Jimmy I'm just as good as buying you new clothes" Shan said as he handed the paperbag to them.

"Cobain yes, Shan wants to see."

Huh uh? Shan's words I really can't predict. Ah I'm being awkward now.

"Shan let's go back." take me as I reach for his hand to hold.

"Let's show Shan if you guys are already packing!" exclaims Shan who I've been driving back into the room.

It's 9 less now. Shan has been asleep since a while ago with the condition still complete wearing his new clothes. He told me hundreds of times that he really liked the pink shirt. The little boy did not want to take off the dress modeled clothes full of lace that were very crowded. I was so excited to see it. Ish beware Shan, tonight I will not be cheering you on.

Suddenly I heard the door of my room being knocked by someone. I thought it was Mama, but after I opened the door, I thought it was wrong. That person turned out to be Yola.

"What's wrong?" ask me on the figure who is now leaning on the door.

"There's nothing to say thank you."

"What?"

"On the clothes of children. Thank you for buying them."

"Yes." Yeah."

"That's it?"

"So I have to say something else?"

Yola speaks a thousand languages. He couldn't respond to my words. Looks like he lost a lot.

"Thank you to Shan, if it wasn't for Shan being mean, I wouldn't buy Salsa clothes with Jimmy. Shan always wanted them, but they... I'm not sure."

"So you want to bandingin my kids like that kid? You want to say that your child is the best?"

"So. You never seem to understand what I mean. Your mind is too busy with unimportant things. Even you can't know how to mahamin a very simple thing."

Yola squinted both her eyes. "So what do you want now?" Further. "Lo want me to buy Shan too if I buy something for Salsa with Jimmy?"

"Chan... You only have one child, and I have two. You never know what I've been doing all this time."

"What about rasain? Maxutnya lo rasain is all money work papa car charter? Or the money that even mommy never held five minutes in her hand? Haha Yola, you're the cunning of us little."

Smeak...
