Like Eid, Christmas is an event that is awaited by many people. Although I do not celebrate Christmas, Christmas is not something foreign to me. Many of my friends celebrate Christmas, and in the region I always try to be a good family for my friends who celebrate it. I know how much they miss their families and can't be together when Christmas comes. The same longing I understand if I can't be with my family during Eid.
Living abroad has rewarded me with tolerance. That love knows no tribal and religious barriers. Love is love. How about in Europe? Especially in Estonia. The majority of the country has no religion. Why do they celebrate Christmas? Christmas is a holiday tradition where families gather.
A moment awaited to give each other gifts, visit each other and give love to each other. Once a year, everyone struggles to join their extended family. Christmas has transcended religious tradition for them. It is no longer celebrated only by Christians or Catholics, but also by those who do not choose religion.
"Christmas the whole family will gather. You met them last year. But someone has never met you. You're not pa-pa right, it will be rame here". Alin didn't actually have to ask my permission or feel bad because this is his house. However, that was him, who often communicated openly.
"Of course I don't have a problem. I enjoy Christmas together" I replied.
"Happy to hear that, tomorrow we go to the forest btw, want to find a Christmas tree. You want to come?" he asked again.
"Who would want to miss this excitement?" askaku. Because I knew it would be a fun activity.
"Cool-in. We went to the woods near my house. Not far" he said again.
"Stay all exciting. But now there is a lot of snow" I said while looking at the window of the house. The transparent glass window allowed us to see the front yard and back yard of the house directly covered with snow.
"Yes, as knee-deep as possible in the woods. In the backyard we can also be knee-length sometimes. Manu often helps snow cover if it is too piled up in front of the door" replied Alin, sipping his tea and standing next to me.
"Yes, I remember. Last year was also very high. Every trash dump behind me has to put on your boot" haha answered me.
"Just wear it, I have some. If you wear ordinary winter shoes, it's soaking wet after that" he replied as he passed.
His boots were very helpful. Knee-length and very protective. I only have one regular winter shoe that's not too high. Good thing our legs are the same size, I can borrow them.
I can't wait for tomorrow, I want to enjoy the adventure of finding a Christmas tree with Alin, Manu & Hanno. Take her home and decorate the Christmas tree together. Oh I remember maybe I should also buy some presents, especially for Manu.

It was 8am and it was still dark. This is the winter situation in the country. Do not expect to see the sun often, even if there are only 2 or 3 hours.
At that time, perhaps missing Indonesia is much more reasonable. The sun and green shades of trees are so easy to find anywhere.
After all, Estonia is such a beautiful country. I always try to wake up feeling grateful. Because the morning will deliver a new color every day. Including this morning, which will soon welcome Christmas.
During winter, the atmosphere is gray. Most trees are naked without leaves. But it doesn't happen on Christmas trees. They are special, stay graceful with their shape and dazzling green.
"Be sure to wear a glove. You always forget to wear scarves. Remember wear scarves, socks. Just wear my jacket, it's thicker". He was right, my brother. It unceasingly reminds me to make sure of some of these things every time I leave the house. Of course, the cold would torture me slowly if I ignored it.
We left the house at noon. After an hour in the forest finally found a suitable Christmas tree. Hanno cut him down and we hugged him home.
"Mom, I want us to use the decorations like last year". Manu looks so excited.
"Of course, honey. We still have a lot and do not need to buy a new one" replied Alin.
Although still a child, Manu was always curious and sensitive to the people around him. He never absent involve me in various discussions or just ask questions with his English that is not smooth. Sometimes he mixes English and Estonian. It sounds so much better in my ears.
"Oh, I haven't thought about it. Should I ask for Christmas?" i asked.
"You ask now. Later will be granted on Christmas or after" Manu is so confident and trusting related to the request on Christmas.
"What do you want?" I want to know his request too.
"I made 3 requests. But a secret, I don't want to tell you. Later if it has been granted" he replied.
"Ok, I'll ask you something if that's the case. Secrets.." I said while putting my index finger on my lips. Manu laughing.
"Do you know you got it?" her door.
"Ok my nunnu!" I answered while stroking his head.
Alin & Hanno smiled at our conversation. Manu looks happy and enjoys together looking for this Christmas tree. I thought about Manu's words. Many people make requests at Christmas. I already filed it on the plane and hope that's all answered. Mate.
Because last year's Christmas was beautiful, when K was by my side. After our relationship ended, I fell. Winter gave me such a beautiful color, at the same time there was a gaping wound between my unhealed mind. That's why I want to start a new relationship. It's time, pick up the beauty with the new guy in my life. A year of crying, enough. Although the occasional shadow K, still appears.
Dear Vashla.after considering everything, our relationship should end here......
I still remember the words in the letter he wrote. I cried as if the sky was split. I was totally unprepared, it was decided two days before Valentine.
"Hayo daydreaming what?" Alin was already standing behind me with warm tea in his hand.
"Regular, daydreaming of the past" I replied.
"It's been a year, sweetheart. You deserve to be happy and deserve a new love. Maybe the guy's gonna be here soon" I know Alin's trying to cheer up.
"You're like my mentor who uses the same phrase, every time talking about a soul mate" I said as I sipped my tea.
"Sana yuk, sit on the sofa" he asked.
I sat next to him. A comfortable family sofa for all of us when we get together. I like it because from this living room, can always see the backyard of the house. The red swing that we often sit and swing in spite of winter. Sometimes ice filled his seat made of plastic and tied with both iron chains on his left and right.
The Apple Tree was near the swing, some of its trees were now naked without leaves. Also Cherry trees, Berry and some non-flowering Roses. The grass is green if it is not covered with snow.
"Still about K?" Hanno brought her tea and sat down with us.
K, the story is still often present. Although the episode is over.
