What is the most difficult thing between meetings? For me it is a separation between longings that have not been fully healed. It's time for us to return to our respective countries to fulfill the family's call. Preparing for the wedding and building the household we promised in front of them. Although the application has not been fully official, because it will be done by Luky and his family face-to-face.
Our hearts feel so heavy. We had to leave when Corona roamed around us. Whether we will also get caught in this Corona virus while struggling to prepare for our marriage. Farewell party we have announced. Estonesia team and Estonia family we have told. 2 farewell party near the time. Indeed we made it separate so that these two groups have time each chatting with us.
The first Estonian family, and farewell is not in our apartment but in Alin's apartment. Very interesting because Alin wants me to cook Indonesian fried rice there. He's gonna make me my favorite Estonian fried chicken. Luky and I arrived before 7 p.m. Alin had prepared all the cooking ingredients in the refrigerator. So I just took it and started cooking.
"Do I need help?" ask Luky behind me.
"No need, play with Manu. It's just a little bit too" I said.
Luky followed my words and then got busy with the TV screen with Manu. Hanno has not arrived home. Me and Alin started our act of preparing food. I cut carrots and small chickpeas, sliced red onions, tomatoes, chives, celery and a few pieces of Alin's favorite cheese. Then start sauteing carrots and chickpeas with a little margarine and then set them aside. Next is the onion that is sauteed until it is brownish in color and leaves a fragrance throughout the room followed by slices of fresh tomatoes.
Cuisine at Alin's house without chili, none other than Manu and Hanno can not eat spicy at all. After the tomatoes are fused with onions, I pour the whole carrot, chickpeas, along with the chives and friends.
"Oh wow, the aroma. Really fragrant. As usual our favorite chef" Alin directs his face to the frying pan to inhale the aroma of vegetables sauteed with butter.
I poured salt, 2 eggs and then a piece of cheese into the cooked vegetables. Alin's eyes sparkled as he looked at the pieces of cheese melted along with the vegetables and eggs.
"I didn't forget your favorite. In Indonesia, I never mix it with cheese. But since living in Estonia, my fried rice has become a new recipe" I said. Alin heard it.
He turned the brownish-colored chicken pieces in the pot. This crispy chicken is simply fried with a little Oliv oil on a flat little fire. Previously also in Marinate with olive oil and chilli seasoning along with some other spices that are not spicy. At the same time all my vegetables and fried rice seasonings have been fused together, it's time to pour rice and stir a few more moments. The last touch is a sprinkling of celery and leeks.
"I'm hungry" Manu suddenly appears in the kitchen.
"Eh uh now? Wait a little bit more yes" I said as I stroked her head.
Manu nodded but still did not move up close to the frying pan. Luky also came into the kitchen and then hugged me from behind. Alin smiled happily towards us.
"Now!" oh Hanno's voice I thought. Alin went straight to the door welcoming her husband, hugging and giving him a kiss. Typical of them every day.
"It's very timely" welcome me too.
"I know, it does know the right time to eat" replied Hanno.
"How are you Luky?" Ask Hanno to Luky.
"Sad, it's a farewell, but yeah, happy too. One step towards our marriage "he replied.
I poured the whole cooked fried rice into a large basin and placed it on the dining table. Alin turned over the last fried chicken and before long he also put it on the table. Luky composes the dinner plate with the cutlery.
"I'm opening up wine now, right?" Luky is ready with a bottle of wine.
"Susu for Manu huh?" Luky asked again.
"I will do it" Alin answered quickly as he opened the refrigerator and then poured the milk into Manu's glass.
We sat down at the table and started toast. Eating food with warm affection in the midst of the temporary separation that we will live.
"How long have you been there? It must be back here, right?" Hanno asked on the sidelines of our conversation about how delicious the food was.
"The plan is at most 3 months in Indonesia. So this month Luky returned to Germany. In April next month we meet in Indonesia at the wedding. It may be June or July at the earliest to return to Estonia" I explained.
"Wah pas summer. Exclaim! So we can vacation together while camping or attending the festival together" welcome Alin happy.
"Yes, hopefully Corona does not aggravate the situation" Luky added.
"May" I replied.
"Vashla, what clothes will you wear for the wedding?" ask Alin again.
"We will both wear Acehnese traditional clothes. Because the party plan was also at my mother's house in Aceh, the plan" I replied.
"I can't wait to see you two wearing wedding clothes" Alin sparkled as she patted her hands.
After eating, Alin brought out fruits and deserts. We were still so excited to finish this dessert. Story after story accompanies the closing of our farewell. Warm in the night growing. All the food ludes, left some chocolate and also his favorite candy Manu.
"Who wants to play board games?" Alin asked happily.
"Me! me!" I said.
"Me! me! me!" Manu chimed in.
Hanno and Luky looked at each other and nodded in smiles. Alin chose the board game we were going to play and presented it in front of us on the floor. We moved from the dining room to the TV room. A bigger and bigger place for us to move. Alin has a big sofa. Sofa that sometimes we also make the bed area and can be opened wider. Christmas and new year lights are still in the living room. Sometimes he just let it go for months.
Flowers and some other ornaments are in this space. We were sitting on a floor together on a piece of carpet that wasn't too big, but could fit all five of us. The game continues until several rounds. But since we did not plan to stay at their house, we had to say goodbye. Alin, Hanno and Manu hugged us both.
"Come back soon after the wedding. We will miss you" Alin said as he escorted us to the courtyard.
The taxi had arrived, we waved once more and got into the taxi that took us home. I clasped Luky's hand. He replied because he understood what I felt. Excited, and deg at the same time. Please launch our trip to our respective countries and also our marriage Lord, I whispered in my heart.
