Our Love Among Corona

Our Love Among Corona
Love is not Tourism

I'm sitting here in a boring room

It's just another rainy Sunday afternoon

I'm wasting my time I got nothing to do

I'm hanging around I'm waiting for you

Nothing ever happens

And I wonder

I'm driving around in my car

I'm driving too fast, I'm driving too far

I'd like to change my point of view

I feel so lonely, I'm waiting for you

Nothing ever happens

And I wonder

I wonder how, I wonder why

Yesterday you told me 'bout the

Blue, blue sky

And all that I can see

Is just a yellow lemon tree

I'm turning my head up and down

I'm turning, turning, turning, turning

And all that I can see

Is just another lemon tree

Sing dah

Dah-dah-dah-dam, dee-dab-dah

Dah-dah-dah-dam, dee-dab-dah

Dab-deedly by now

I'm sitting here, I miss the power

I'd like to go out, take a shower

But there's a heavy cloud inside my head

I feel so tired, put myself into bed

Nothing ever happens

And I wonder

Isolation is not good for me

Isolation, I don't want to

Sit on a lemon tree

I'm stepin' around in a desert of joy

Maybe anyhow I'll get another toy

And everything will happen

And you wonder

I wonder how, I wonder why

Yesterday you told me 'bout the

Blue, blue sky

And all that I can see

Is just another yellow lemon tree

I'm turning my head up and down

I'm turning, turning, turning, turning

And all that I can see

Is just a yellow lemon tree

And I wonder, wonder

I wonder how, I wonder why

Yesterday you told me 'bout the

Blue, blue sky

And all that I can see

And all that I can see

And all that I can see

Is just a yellow lemon tree

Luky sings Lemon Tree song until it runs out. Not the first one, he's been singing this song from the very beginning we parted ways and got stuck in isolation. Whether since when, suddenly the famous song sung by the artist Fools Garden, this band from Germany has bewitched it so deeply. He sings it so often. Sometimes when we were fighting, he would record his voice singing these lyrics and send them to whatsapp. In the morning when I wake up, I will listen to her voice.

While this afternoon, he sang it live, I don't need to hear the recording. He sings between sadness and joy. Saddened by this farewell, glad he could hear my voice every time he called.

"Yes...thank you!" I gave her a frenetic applause finished her singing.

"I want to stop singing this song. Maybe if one day we're together, I'll stop" he said after singing.

"Don't stop! we can still sing, even add to the list of other songs" I tried to cheer him up.

I know, singing was our way of comforting each other all along. Ensuring our emotional strength is always well connected to each other. Ensuring that our love levels continue to grow even through the songs we sing, as well as longing expressions that sometimes run out of words.

"By the way, do you know about Love is not Tourism?" ask Luky.

"No. That's what?"

"Love is not tourism is a community movement initiated by separated couples during a pandemic. Currently they are conducting a massive campaign to urge the government to bring them together with lovers or family. That's good news for us" explained Luky immediately I welcome with a smile fluffy. That will be our path, I thought.

"How about we join them?" I asked Luky.

"That's my plan. I'm taking you along. I'll join the group in Germany and you'll be looking for contacts in Indonesia to strengthen the movement and campaign there" Luky proposed.

After calling from her, I surfed the internet. Find all information about Love is not Tourism. Grassroot movement is already booming in European countries such as Italy, Germany, Austria, France and others. Even Indonesia is active. It's a very good move for the sake of fighting for a binational couple to meet and how a family reunion can happen.

The support provided is not only information from various countries related to the development of travel regulations and so on, but also emotional support for those who need it. In fact, they have created a Facebook group where separate couples support each other. Without thinking anymore, I immediately threw myself into the Facebook group. Follow some Instagram Love is not Tourism from several countries. Start your campaign by posting on social media using #loveisnottourism and #loveisessential.

This is an important campaign for us. A campaign that will provide opportunities for regulatory changes that bring us together. If in Indonesia only allowed to have Kitas, hopefully there is hope for family unification visa for those who do not have KITAS or Limited Stay Permit Card.

While reading the story of another couple separated by a pandemic. The message from Tania appeared, she was already in the lobby. I rushed down to the lobby to pick her up. Happy, I am not alone at last. For more than a week, I felt so lonely in the middle of lockdown conditions in Jakarta. Tania's presence has really become a medicine for my mental state right now.

"Oi! The tan! yuk!" I stood at the glass gate near the elevator while holding the door to let Tania in.

Tania who was surprised by my voice immediately rushed up from the sofa lobby and followed me.

"I didn't touch or hug you first huh. Wash your hands and change clothes. After that" he smiled behind his mask.

"Yes, thank you so much you want to move here temporarily" I said.

"No worries's. I'm happy too. At home I was lonely. Mom and Dad work hard".

We let go of each other's smiles as if so relieved to find each other after quite a long time of not meeting physically. All this time it's just online work and just looking at each other through the screen. The elevator took us up to the 17th floor.

"Want coffee or tea?" I asked when we entered my apartment.

"What juice?" he laughed.

"Oh calm down, there is" I replied as I opened the refrigerator showing two boxes of juice.

"Eh really exists. Haha though kidding, want me" he put his things in the room that usually slept Mauli. Then go to the bathroom change clothes and wash his hands.

We enjoyed juicing together while sharing stories during the pandemic. How our minds and hearts respond to the current situation. There are many young people who have mental health disorders. Those who usually meet or gather with friends, can not be that free now. Those who lost their families to Covid-19. Those who are unemployed because of job loss. Those who are divorced and those who cannot maintain long-distance relationships amid the uncertainty of Corona. As if, it is indeed easier to blame Corona, those who should be responsible for all the conditions that occur on earth today.

"Btw, I need your help" I said later.

"For?" tanyanya while frowning her forehead.

"Love is not tourism" I replied.

"Well! love what?" Tania widened her eyes.

I told him about the Love is not Tourism movement and needed his help to campaign and sign the petition that was going on in Indonesia. Ask for more people to sign for the binational couple.
