Agree to go home. That was the end of our decision after all night of discussion. Maybe our parents were right. It is better to return now to their respective countries, complete the wedding documents and then meet in Indonesia to prepare a party. Although it has agreed to part ways temporarily, and raise prayers to God, hope there is a way for an immediate meeting in Indonesia. However, our hearts still find it difficult to physically let go of each other. Corona, who knows what it'll be like. But going home is also a need to ease our future steps.
Preparing a marriage between different countries is not an easy thing. Without official documents from both sides of the two countries, a formal marriage could never have taken place. That is what makes us heartfelt, that this separation is for our own unification.
"I have a request before we go back to our respective countries" Luky said.
"What request?" I pulled up my chair and sat down by putting both my hands on the dining table. This is my usual attitude when I'm about to receive pancakes from him.
"Wait, before that, I want banana pancakes today" I said quickly before he poured strawberry jam into the nearly ripe pancakes in the pan.
"Well, usually Strawberry" Luky immediately closes back the jam.
"That's exactly what Strawberry is. I want a banana today" I asked.
"But there's only one banana not pa-pa?" he said while pointing the banana at me.
"No, pa-pa. I ate the pancakes today".
"Okay princess" He kissed my forehead. Then start cutting the banana in a thin size and sprinkled on top of the pancake.
Before long the pancakes were beautifully presented in front of me. He put the hot milk coffee on the left side of the plate and kissed my head again this time.
"Enjoy your breakfast sweetie" she said softly and sweetly.
"What did you have that request for?" I started the first feed.
He sipped his coffee and smiled at me. Luky doesn't like breakfast, he just needs his coffee and that's breakfast for him.
"I want us to go to all the places you've been with your ex here and also do things you've all done that were once their same".
I was stunned among the pancakes that were still full in my mouth. I hurried to swallow without chewing.
"Uhuukkk" my eyes grew between pancakes stuck in my throat.
Luky immediately opened the refrigerator and poured the drinking water into the glass. He drank it into my mouth while one hand stroked my back.
"You okay?" He put the glass back on the table.
"Because I want us to finish what's not finished. We have a wound in your heart that may occasionally still invite pain if you remember that place. Moreover, Tallinn City is a beautiful magic city, baby if what you later remember is the pain with them. Let me replace it with a good memory".
I glazed over, it was a very charming morning. Through her words I found my way of healing. Luky won my heart with his words and deeds against me. After breakfast, I began to make a list of places I had visited with my ex. It was K and Allan. Only the two of them I dated with official girlfriend status. The rest is just a short date with no strings attached. Especially when I activated Tinder and again times of frustration.
Among all the places I have visited, I narrowed it down again with the list of the most often or the nature I visited repeatedly and spent the most time with them. K and Allan have different places. I also only realized this after all the places I put on the list. All right, looks like the trip to replace the memories of the former will be exciting. Where does Luky have this kind of idea.
Luky's intentions are good. Because we wanted to start our married life, he wanted me to start with a healed heart. It replaced the pain I had all this time. Even take care of the remaining pain. We're scheduled to embark on an adventure to replace these former memories. Because my work is online, so it's easy for me to work out my own schedule.
We started from all the places I'd been with K the most. A Turkish Restaurant in Tallinn City. The first time I met K. Luky clasped my hand as we were about to enter the restaurant. He asked which table I usually sat with K. I pointed at the empty table in the left corner of the entrance.
"Okay, we sit there" He opened the jacket on my body and placed it on the chair to his left.
"What foods do you usually eat?" I pointed to the menu and that was exactly what we ordered later.
I saw K sitting in front of me. Just like he did it. He rarely smiles wearing his favorite black shirt and jeans. I blinked my own eyes. Hey no, not K. Now Luky is your man, I told myself.
"Try to replace all those memories with my presence. Let's make peace with your past. So later, one day if you go back to this place, you have good memories with me that are always worth remembering" He took my hand.
"Hey Vashla, how are you?" oh that's the owner of this restaurant, Fadhal, Pakistani. He knows me well.
"I'm good's. How about you?" askaku.
"Me too" he looked towards Luky, waved his hand and said Hi. Luky replied with a smile.
I wanted them both. I told him that this guy helped me a few times when I needed help. Including when I left my suitcase on them, booked me a taxi, when I was feverish and hitchhiking breaks in their office upstairs. He and his staff are very friendly to me.
"Where's restaurant? smoothly?" Luky asked Fadhal.
Fadhal is Pakistani. She and her sister and some of her family members moved to Tallinn. He has opened the way for his family to move to Europe since he studied in this city.
"Well, not running well, since Corona" Fadhal continued his work while allowing us to enjoy the food in front of us.
Yes, that's how Corona has an impact on anyone. Destroying business and human relationships. We enjoyed the food with heart. The savory taste of chopped beef and roasted chicken is able to sow our hearts full of joy. Luky paired meat with Potatoes, me, as usual with Turkish rice.
After coming from a Turkish restaurant, we are preparing to take the next step. There are only two more places we will visit to replace the memories with K. Before going there, we decided to take a short walk in the park near Oldtown. Since we had just finished eating, we still wanted to chat between the cold weather and the fresh air.
