Our Love Among Corona
The Telliskivi Area

Our office is in Telliskivi Area. It used to be an industrial area during the Soviet Union's rule. It was built in 1869 as a railway factory. After Estonia gained independence in 1991, parts of the region switched functions. The year 2009 has become an area of creative economic development.

The area is made up of old buildings, some of the walls look broken. However, they retained this historical location and conjured it full of art. The walls are made mural with a variety of interesting paintings. One of my favorites among the murals here is a picture of a woman painted on a brick wall. The woman described as having energy united with the universe.

A blend of blue, green, yellow, red and some dark colors filled his body parts. He had long hair and a bird nest on his head. The sky became the starry roof and also the moon. He lowered his gaze with the position of the eyes can still be seen shape. The palm of his right hand was directed forward and there was a round moon that seemed to be colored inai red.

She was like a goddess who controlled the aura of this universe. Talking between pain and being happy. I like to stand on the glass wall of my office and look up at him. Every day when you are in the office. Looking at it was calming, yet also filled with mystery.

"Vashla, want to have lunch with us?" take Luna, our head of marketing at the office.

"Where do you want to have lunch today?" askaku.

"Just around the corner, maybe we can choose later," replied Alin.

"Come join us. We miss to hear your story". Oksy chimed in, our other co-worker.

"OKAY. I'm in" my mouth.

The four of us went down the stairs and walked towards the restaurant. There are more than 250 restaurants and establishments in the region. Although predominantly European restaurants in general, there are several Asian restaurants as well. Lunch time came faster. Although winter days sometimes seem slow, but if you have a job that you like and enjoy, time is short.

I enjoy spending my time in the office, especially because the people in the office also have positive energy. This office is filled with colleagues who always support each other. No one is competing with each other and feeling better. Maybe because the team is also not much and everyone gets a clear share for his tasks, very effective and efficient.

"Oh today so cold," Oksy grabbed his jacket as we crossed the street.

"Yes, it's cold," I replied in agreement.

"This is what we call shitty weather here" explained Alin.

"Why?" my question shows my disapproval.

"Because the cold air is not snowy, windy accompanied by a small drizzle" explained Alin.

Oh that's considered shitty weather. All right, even though I don't see him, Shitty. Maybe people here don't like it. For me, the weather in this country especially during winter, seems romantic in various situations. Maybe because I'm not from this land. The weather I used to see on TV I can enjoy now. In the past, I always imagined what it would be like to coldly wrap my body in a thick jacket. Now, I enjoy it well when the opportunity comes.

The weather today is colder than it was two days ago. Although not snowy, but the wind that blows makes the weather cooler than usual. Even Estonians themselves can say cold, especially for Indonesian women who bathed in the sun every day. Even though I still like it.

"Where to eat at a Mexican Restaurant?" I made a suggestion while we were among several restaurants. We still want to go in which restaurant.

I don't plan on going to this restaurant either. But standing outside their restaurant and hearing the music that echoed, as if stealing this heart to stop by. Oh their music is indeed beautiful, as if fishing for latin dancing. It was lunch time, not dancing.

I have known Luna and Oksy since last year, two Estonian women who have also worked in our office for a long time. They are both more senior than Alin, because they work there first. Our company is engaged in the field of digital platforms. Employees do not have to go to the office every day. They can work anywhere. Only two days and free to come at any time. Same thing for me. But usually we choose more in the office because it is nice to meet each other.

I've interned at this company before, that's why there's nothing new for me. The boss liked my job, he accepted quickly when Alin offered me a recruit for their company. Especially because of my track record while working on their pilot project for Indonesia.

"So, tell me how you feel back here. Especially back to work in our office," urged Luna when we just finished ordering food.

"Wonderful feeling. Happy to be back here. Missing the Telliskivi area" I explained.

"Why? what happened to Telliskivi?". Oksy asked a question.

"Many memories here. Telliskivi is special to me" I replied again.

"Tell us more," Long time no see, it seems Luna can't wait to hear my stories.

I repeat the story from my previous experience in this area. I've had various photography exhibitions, live music, comedy clubs, and birthday parties of Estonian friends who invited me. One of the things I don't want to remember is of course about my ex. A relationship that was sweet but ravaged my life long enough. All the memories we've had before are more in the Telliskivi area of this area. All I have to remember is that my last farewell with her is here. But I don't want to forget because there are many beautiful memories that also occur here.

We spent more than an hour eating lunch. The excitement of the story I shared had warmed the friendship between us. Everyone gets their share in the story. I am also happy to know the progress that has taken place in their lives. We went back to the office and worked until the afternoon.

"You go home together or there's another plan". Alin asked as he cleared his desk.

"I'm going to the Old Town first, I'll go home by myself" I replied.

"Ok, be careful. Call me if I need to pick you up at the bus stop" Alin was always attentive.

"OK to sis. You too, take care. See you later. Oh don't wait for me at dinner, I'll eat outside" I said again.

"elright! See you then" Alin closed the door and left the office.

Me alone, the office has been completely deserted. But usually there are always a few other people in the office next door. My office isn't the only one in this building. There are even 3 or 4 offices on this 3rd floor.

I looked back at the woman painted on the big wall of the next building. Who is the artist who made this work, my inner self. Must be a genius. Because every time I stand here and look at him, I'm bewitched by the aura of his painting. Genius, really genius. Successfully take the hearts and minds of those who enjoy his work.
