Magical Adventure Book
[Chapter 31-2] End of Margo History!

We all still glanced at the sepuh, whose face was covered in wrinkles and a little fluttering. Sitting on a pillow, holding his wooden stick.

Silence broke out, as she cleared her throat slowly. Start before you start talking.

"I'm happy, my granddaughter Manika, to have her heart tethered." The frail and stinging voice now sounded so heavy full of authority. "What I have in mind now is, the question of what your intentions really are, until you want to propose to Manika? I know you were about to sneak into the woods, towards the cave on the edge of the hill. And, because of the unique destiny given by the gods, you can finally conquer Manika's heart as hard as a rock. So, what is your real intention? Answer me, Young man!"

Oh, the answer is easy, because I don't want to die silly in the middle of nowhere. But, can't I answer like that?

Definitely not!

"No need to ask again, elder. It's obvious, right, what's the reason they do that. They're just sly-brained rotten fugitives!" Sando suddenly interjected, before I could put together a proper reason to say.

"Rose storm you say? What about you, huh? A smuggler, as well as a drug dealer! Low-down!" Yenz spoke up, with a piercing sentence, which he foolishly did not think of as a result.

Simultaneously. The ABKs, commanded by Captain Sando, stood up and pointed their guns at us. Some people do it too. Clearly so, since they were a manufacturer of illicit drugs, it must have been offended.

I was dragged by the siege of the guns around us. Different from me, Leon had already lifted half his body, and was preparing to lunge. While Yenz shook his head with a straight look at Captain Sando.

Seconds past. The hard beat of the wooden stick hit the floor board. Repeatedly filled with emotion. Shift all views.

"You no longer respect me, and the custom in this House of Arbor? Forgot you guys for the service I've been giving you up until now!?" The sound vibration of Elder Perota was so penetrating and gave me goosebumps. Similarly, it looks like the handlers, who immediately returned to storing weapons, then sat down to their original place.

"I'm sorry, Elder. I did that solely for the sake of Manika, whom I already considered to be my own sister. After all, don't customary rules also prohibit marriage to outsiders?"

The old man with my eyes turned his head, and threw a sharp look, which made Captain Sando bow down with an apology.

The Perota elder turned to look at us. A moment of stare with Leo, who is still on standby, even though he is sitting cross-legged in his place.

It happened for a while, before the village elder nodded while clearing his throat. His favorite start before starting the word.

"Indeed, the cultural customs here prohibit marrying outsiders, not even allowed to come into contact with life outside the village. But, look at the history of the Tastal Tribe, where we still hold tightly to the rule. What's got? We are overwhelmed by the progress of the times. In the Great Ten Years' War, many tribesmen died and were made slaves, out of armament. Likewise our cultural heritage is robbed. Do I have to defend the wrong way like that?"

Silent. All quiet. However, I am sure, every single head that is here, approves the words of Elder Perota.

"Son. To be honest, I don't want to do the illegal work, by making drugs like that. But do you know? Although the island is part of the Vajal State, we are under the protection of the Andapala kingdom. Our security is assured from the greed of the Vajal Government, which has long wanted to dredge natural wealth in the form of wind ore mines, even intending to make us, residents of Talse Island, as slaves." Elder Perota let out a long sigh. "For the sake of that protection, and keeping the existence of the Tastal Tribe, then we have to pay for it, by giving them a supply of retnap drugs."

Yenz squealed stifled. "The cursed medicine .. mom-wasn't it banned ten years ago by the World Council!? Since the war ended?"

"Enough! No more than this. Our position is threatened if until outsiders find out about it. I beg you, Elder." Captain Sando interrupted again. But this time the old man agreed.

"That's all I can tell you. Hopefully it's acceptable. Because, it concerns the survival of our tribe."

Yenz nodded slowly. He was silent as if to accept, although seen from his gait, the blonde pigtail was not at all satisfied.

Oh yeah, if you ask, "What is retnap?" To be honest, I can only tell you that it is some kind of powerful medicine. Without being able to explain the content, or how to make it.

The powerful drugs I mean earlier are stimulants, increase the strength of the wearer, and relieve pain in the body, as well as speed up the healing process. Psychically, people who take this drug will get euphoria, from the extra confidence and strength gained.

The medicine was indeed great, but the effect was even more incredible. In addition to dependence, the drug makes the body grow old quickly, age decreases a lot, health decreases dramatically, even the brain and other organs shrink. Completely make them as undead.

How did Margo find out? Don't bother this old-faced om-om, you think she wears that too!

Retnap was a popular drug used in the great war ten years ago. Not only soldiers, even civilians, could easily obtain them.

During the escape, I met some people who were wearing them, in order to face the horrors of the war. In fact, I was forced several times to face the violence of the drug users. There is no need to tell me how I managed to resist them.

"alright. Back to the topic," said Elder Perota, ending the momentary silence. "Son Margo, answer me this question."

I took a deep breath, then cleared my throat. Grateful there was a little commotion, which made me think of a good reason.

"Chairman Perota. Really, I was really interested when I saw Miss Manika for the first time. Apart from his level and perfect physique. I'm watching how painstakingly he leads you, prepares food, and moves. It looks as graceful as an angel .. ah, more precisely the goddess of heaven who descended to earth. That's what got my heart hooked by her."

Silent moment. Every eye looked wide at me, with a gaping mouth. Honestly, I feel like something is wrong.

Seconds next. There was a giggling sound, which then broke out into laughter. Contagious to others, until compact all laugh. Only the three of us, plus the Elder Perota who did not.

The vow! Shame me! These fuckers, are they laughing at my poetic language? How ugly you guys! Never have you read Khalil Gibran's "Fractured Wings!

The sound of the knocking of the cane several times echoed. Making them all speechless, although there were some who desperately held back the remaining laughter.

"I apologize for ... It's Margo." The part of his speech that was cut off, was clearly right because the hunchback grandfather was holding back a laugh. "I was young once, and understood that love was blind. If you want to know, the nature of grandma, and her mother Manika, is very similar. Tomboy, wild, spanking, rough mouth, slovenly, suk ...."

The old man's words stopped because of a loud bang, from the door of the room at the end of the room that plunged open. There Manika, standing with sharp eyes glared at us.

He walked over, with a loud bang that was deliberately made. At that moment, all heads were bowed in. Dumbness felt the anger, which was conveyed through the vibrations on the wooden floor, as he stepped.

"Why didn't Grandpa tell you that I wanted to lead you, and maintain my attitude, because of the lure of the new revolver weapon as a reward?" Manika spoke with a wide grin on the face. As he stood by the elder.

Ah ... expire Margo. If until he becomes married to the barbarian spirited girl, somehow his fate will later.

Elder Perota asked his beloved grandson to sit down. With reason, he will continue to talk about my marriage and Manika. Potent. The sweet girl complied.

The Perota elder. Staring at me while breathing. Can I quote as a sign of his condolences for the decision I have made.

"Love is mysterious. It cannot be fully explained with words. Only the lover can understand it. Weighing from the beautiful words of Nak Margo, especially to my dear granddaughter. Then ...."

The solemn words of the village higher-ups were interrupted. This time the disturbance came from the noise outside the House of Jeunjung. Trumpets and drum tabs followed like they did not want to pause. The cries of the commandments are simple. And, out of it all, many times one word shrieked loudly, "Attack!"
