What I saw was very different, from what I imagined. This pirate base is not at all fitting, if juxtaposed with the word spooky and haunted.
If in most movies, the base where the pirates gather is often described as haunted, many creepy men fight, drink, play women, or all kinds of other taboos. However, here everything is inversely proportional to one hundred and eighty degrees. As if his nickname as a ruthless pirate and barbarian in the southern sea, is just a figment.
This floating city is very neat and clean. No dirty and dirty background. So comfortable to look at the eyes, and delicious to breathe fresh air and moist.
As soon as I got off this ship, I was astonished to see how the captain of red hair, was highly respected by the residents. At first, I thought there would be many people who did not like the arrival.
From there I found the other side of Hovler, who was firm and sharp-mouthed during command of the ship. Instead of being friendly, pretentious to maintain authority, he actually blends in with the residents. No figure of the sangar was shown, even without hesitation he carried, joked, and played, with the boys who swarmed him.
"Hey, this is really a pirate base, right?" I asked Leo.
"It should be like that. Didn't they also tell like
that's on the ship, Mr. Margo."
"Yes .. but this looks like a normal town. Apart from its uniqueness. This place is not at all suitable to be called as a pirate base. Tourist attractions are even more fitting." I looked around the area, which they called the city of Grabul.
Yenz patted my shoulder. "Not to think too much. Doesn't that mean it's good?"
I'm turning. Looking at Yenz with a frown. "You mean how?"
"We can know someone from the environment and their interactions with others. So far it's good, and that means we still have a chance to get out of this place alive."
Horror talk. It's true, but it's still scary. Basic has no morals!
"You people! Follow me!" Arza walked past us.
Oh yea. Arza is the name of the copper-haired young man. The type of man that many women value. A cool and calm demeanor, plus a sharp eye on his handsome face. Definitely not a girl who can dwell in front of him.
Well...one level is below my charm.
The three of us were led to the southeast of the floating island by Arza. Pass the suspension bridge, and walk slowly over the floating balcony. Walking around like an indeterminate direction, as if we were deliberately misled.
That's just a guess, because it seems like the road on this island was deliberately made winding. It would take a guide to lead an immigrant like us, if not to get lost here.
I'm sure all of this has a purpose and purpose. It might be for defense. Making an enemy that dares to land and attack, will be confused looking for a way in this place.
"Here, you should not roam alone without being led by the islanders, especially at night." Arza recalled.
"Why is that so?" ask Leo.
"Do you see the fog around the island?" We nodded. "It was the territory of Mochatu, which at night would stretch to the center of the island."
I shuddered as I recalled the gray-colored tentacles within the thick fog of the ocean. Is it possible that the monster will appear at night and look for prey? Are they not afraid of the monster?
"You wait inside. Captain Hovler and Baba Ruska are coming soon." The young man passed by after opening the door of the house that was in the middle of the floating stage. The southeast end of the island.
We were amazed when we entered the three-meter-high small bed. Built from wood glued using clay soil, to build a unique construction. A dwelling that looks narrow at a glance, but feels spacious once entered it.
One compartment of this room contains complete furniture, such as chairs and a round table in the middle of the room, unique lanterns in the shape of a round, cabinets in the right corner, and stairs connecting to the bed, and, it's mounted on the wall.
Unique, but a bit horrified also if you have to sleep there. Ridiculous if to fall from a height of two meters, while being cool to dream.
"It turns out outside there's a bathroom booth" Leo chirped, after checking the back door.
"Leo, remember you can't just wander around!" I said from the chair in the middle of the room. Warned him.
"Relax, Sir. I was just monitoring things" he replied with a big smile.
I nodded small, while continuing to monitor his movements. Prepare to give a hard warning, if Jamet was reckless to explore this labyrinth island alone. At least until he joins us around the round table.
"I think I know this place. The road here is not too complicated actually, if you know the formula of the structure of the building."
Leo's curse made me and Yenz tick. His words might be like a pretentious edgy boy to say cool, but judging from my trip with him in the Talse cave, I couldn't accuse him of speaking up, what else was lying.
There was no discussion of the curse, because the front door had been knocked on by someone, before being opened slowly by hands in rows.
I was flabbergasted when the door opened. Appearing a tall woman figure with an oval face and tapered cheeks framed with long white hair. An alluring beauty shrouded in mystery from her cold smile.
I was really fascinated, and I wanted to go to him just to get acquainted. Good if you can shake hands as white as the snow. But, it seems like an impossible thing to do.
First. Leo is a Manika spy. He would not hesitate to mutilate my future, if he dared to fight another girl.
Second one. It would be foolish to do so, while he was closely guarded by two of the most feared men on the ship Nokhtra. Captain Hovler and his deputy Arza.
He must be an important person on this island.
My attention was shifted due to the sound of stomping on the shifted chair. Leo stood with his eyes wide, and his hands tightly clenched.
Good Lord! What do you want this boy? Don't tell me he knows my heart, and intends to hit the beautiful woman, in order to carry the word of the brother met his gedenya.
I have to stop him, before things get messed up!
