The training we did was hard and full of struggle. Physical and mental we are forged insanely, in order to meet the achievement target, with a short time limit.
From the practice, I finally learned the dark secret of Princess Asaru. It turned out that, behind her beauty and elegance, she harbored a blazing barbaric soul. The word barbarian here is not an exaggerated metaphor, but a truly barbaric without mercy.
All of that for the sake of obeying the orders of the Great Sage of Artapatu. He grazed me mercilessly. He was told to run fifty rounds, lift weights using stones, hold his breath in the pool, and so on. We have to do it twice a day.
It was compounded again by having to ride Woofy in combat mode, and survive on his back while performing insane maneuvers. Even more goiter, because during the training Woofy only wanted to listen to princess Asaru's orders.
Hey, who exactly is your master!? I grieve in my heart.
However, I could not be angry with him, as he did the same training as me. Maybe even more extreme. Imagine, you should be able to survive on the back of a flying dragon filled with slippery scales. Just hold on to a piece of rope as it maneuvers in all sorts of directions in the air.
Obviously very difficult. Perhaps even, my experience and Kord when being taken flying over the castle, is nothing compared to Princess Asaru. Many times he almost fell off Shege's back.
His small, pliable hands are now wrapped using cloth. Due to this, many wounds and abrasions were scattered there. Even so, he did not give up the slightest item. Keep trying to complete the training given by Artapatu. Steel lady. If I saw her, I would probably call her that.
On the positive side, I was motivated by it.
That is what we do all day. But, don't ask about Kord.
Then why didn't Artapatu give it to me then!?
Father once said, "Whatever is mighty, there is no use if it is not held by the expert." And today it is proven.
Kord practiced swinging a sword, bouncing an arrow, throwing a javelin, and so on. But all that he did was a quick glance and none of it was true. The sword slipped out of grasp as it swung, the spear that was only thrown five meters away, and the arrow that shot away from the target.
Silly, as we were resting, he confidently said, "You guys just calm down. If you are desperate, I will help. My fighting skills have improved greatly. I'm sure it's on par with the greatest warrior in the kingdom."
Princess Asaru giggled at Kord's ravings, while I was eager to pummel her with the round shield she carelessly laid. How not to be upset try. The arrow he just released almost hit me. Sliding towards me who desperately held on tight so as not to fall off Woofy's back, while running on the wall. Fortunately Woofy was quick to wag his tail to dispel the stray arrow.
Ten days we continued to be inside the huge dome-shaped cave. Artapatu Residence. A magician who has no clarity, even after we finally left the cave.
Eight days of pessimism. Routine exercise in a small space for the size of two giant mystical creatures. Unable to attack, and forced to continue maneuvering. With us the rider, who survives desperately so as not to fall. Exercises that I thought were of no benefit.
Aren't they still able to fight without having to carry us on their backs, which in hindsight, just became a burden to both of them.
I thought I had arrived in the last two days before departure. Yes, the amazing moment where I felt the way to finish the story in this cursed book was wide open.
