[Chapter 3-1] A Competition to Follow

I breathed a sigh of relief as soon as I reached the vast field, opposite which stood a magnificent palace. From the balcony of the palace decorated with pennants and flags bearing the silver-colored spear-pictures and red-colored swords crossed each other two pairs of troops raised the trumpet and blew it tight and long, so long, so long, I thought they all had extra lungs.

With the sound of the trumpet, the King with his Queen walked out of the palace. Accompanied by courtiers and royal officials.

Waitaminute! Why is the King so different from my shadow? Usually, a king if not a lush body with a bright face that is always cheerful, must be strong and sturdy body filled with authority. However, the person wearing a thick fur coat with a golden crown studded with manic quality, looks thin with eyes like someone with severe pain in the late stage. His hands trembled as he lifted to calm the hustle and bustle of the people. So tired, as if carrying a heavy burden tied up in the hand.

The figure of the king is very different from the queen next to him. Taper face with wide sharp eyes and sharp nose. Coupled with makeup that must be done by experts, it looks like he is like a Hollywood artist who plays a lot of roles in box office movies. Slim and tall who wore a luxurious white dress, then fit her right to be called the queen.

After the voice died down, a minister who had been walking along from the beginning, advanced in a deliberate step stomped - until his fluttering cheeks fluttered like when a fat bulldog was running - until it was beside the king. Full of solemnity, the minister unrolled the letter carried. He took a deep breath, until his already distended stomach, grew even more bulging. Making the gilded and jeweled belt of gemstones he was wearing pressed tightly out. I imagine, if he was reckless to puff his distended stomach again, the belt would slip from the bond, followed by his sagging red velvet pants.

I am glad to imagine it. However, my intention to laugh was interrupted by the voice of the Minister who (apparently) aloud read out a scroll of letters. She must have been doing vocal lessons with a famous opera singer.

"Of all the people of the Capitor kingdom! Listen to this competition! For anyone who can defeat the Red Scaly Dragon Pomegranate, and successfully save Princess Asaru, then for him will be given a huge reward in the form of fertile land in the east of the kingdom, the ten large chests contained precious gold and jewels, as well as the title of supreme noble. To serve the kingdom of the Capitor, with the rank and title to be passed down to his posterity. This competition was conducted openly, and officially under the royal stamp, and was approved directly by the noble king Solas!"

At a glance passing after the trumpet was again rung to accompany the king and the queen entered the palace, the majority of the men in the crowd rushed to disperse the way. Prepare to go for the contest. They were so excited, as if forgetting that the one he was going to fight was a dragon.

From here, I can understand a little bit of the storyline in the future, which may take me out of the world in this book. For starters, I must definitely go follow the competition, then find the dragon's hiding place and defeat him, in order to save Princess Asaru. The story ends happily. Princess survived, and I might be able to get out of this world, to then burn all the cursed books Tama sent!

Expectations look easy, but I feel Sam Daker's adventure story will not be as easy as a bedtime story. Just a guess, but often my guess proved to be true.

"Brah!" A sling slapped my shoulder from behind. "You must be in this competition, right? We will go together to defeat the Red Scaly Dragon Pomegranate!"

Somehow, that fat man who suddenly appeared, I recognized as Kord Nitor. I believe wholeheartedly he was the one who had been banging on the door of the house, although before this time, I had no time to see his figure at all.

Whether magic or what kind of technology Tama's books have, to be able to make my original memory mixed with Sam Deker's memory. I swear, this is crazy!

"Calm down, if I defeat the Dragon and save Princess Asaru, I guarantee you will give me half of the prize. Oh, or a quarter of it. That's a lot already" Kord said excitedly. His behavior reminds me of Zacky who was overconfident. Tends sucks.

"You seriously want to follow that competition?" I walked back regardless of the behavior of Kord who began to fantasize as a dragon conqueror knight.

I slowed down, and thought about what sentence I should say to answer the question. "You're right, but how do we defeat the dragon? Even for the course of the journey we don't have." That word came out of my mouth, because Sam Deker's intuition just popped out.

"You're still saving our joint savings of five lawyers and three pieces, right?"

Instantly I remembered the coin I had given to the ghost beggar on the street. I stopped unconsciously, the next one was followed by Kord.

"Buddy, do you think helping someone in need is a mistake?" my question while shifting positions, was prompted by a danger warning from Sam Deker's self-defense instinct.

Kord looked at me with squinted eyes. "Don't tell me you lost it!"

I smiled crisply. "Later change!" In that instant I ran after Kord who was screaming loudly calling Sam's name like a possessed person.

Despite having a fat body, the guy with chubby cheeks was able to run fast. I felt like I was being chased by a bull, ready to ram from behind.

Fortunately, Kord's stamina wasn't as much as his fat. At the turn towards the house, his running slowed down with gasping breaths. No. I wasted the opportunity, and went straight to the wooden door of Sam's cube house.

"Welcome, Son. Please come in, consider it your own home."

I stumbled upon the old beggar who had just disappeared in the middle of the market, sitting leisurely on a couch with his legs raised while chewing bread, accompanied by a bottle of honey.

"Because of you!" yelled Kord from behind.

I fell down with a loud shout followed by a groan of pain because it was hit and crushed by the body of the fattened Kord Nitor.

"Haha! You're funny. I liked. Therefore, I will give you the secret about the Red Scaly Dragon Pomegranate, the location of the nest."

For a moment, the pain that I felt disappeared. Suctioned interest in the talk of the mysterious old man. The two of us simultaneously stared at the white-bearded figure in front with eyes sparkling expectantly. A spot of honest hope I admit is less convincing. But there is no harm in trying.
