Magical Adventure Book
[Prologer 1 & Chapter 1-1] Crazy Prize From Tama

"Internals!" Deep in the bowels of the earth, the cries of warning to stay away echoed. Followed by a powerful explosion that destroyed the rock ruins.

The five adventurers who were led by a handsome brown-eyed young man, shouted happily. Their path to the buried treasure in the lost city was already open.

After the dust of the explosion is thinned. They entered the passageway created from the explosion. At the end of the road, four people from the area, who worked as tomb raiders, were astonished to see a pile of gold and precious stones lying before him.

Different from the others. The oval-nosed and oval-faced young man did not care about the mountain of treasure, which he passed by.

"This is it" he said with a big smile.

out of his pocket, he took out a golden key. Put it in a hole under the lid of the crate, which he then turned several times. Before long, the stone box was wide open.

"Hey, Genius Boy!" call one of the big-bodied tomb raiders. "You sure you're just gonna take that trash?"

The young man did not pierce until he finished he stuffed the entire contents of the crate into his bag. "Yes, just this shit. Not more. After all, there's no way I'm taking that treasure out of this country."

The big man laughed. "You're too low, for the size of the person who can make our county officials bow respectfully in front of you. I'm sure that if you want, you can take all this treasure away to your house."

"Hey, Boss. Perhaps what he took was the most expensive treasure of all here" whispered one of the limp-legged tomb raiders. Not aware that his voice can be heard by others because of echoes.

"Haha. The word expensive and valuable has a different meaning for everyone. Yes, this is an expensive and most precious treasure to me. But I'll make sure that this is just rubbish for you." The pigtail-haired young man taped his bag to his shoulder.

"Don't listen to this fool, Genius Boy. Even if you ask for half of this treasure, I will definitely give it. I owe you for saving my wife and son." The big man said with a smile on his face. After sticking the head of his men.

"No need to thank me. It is I who should be grateful. Because, with this I can fulfill my promise to the Midget." The young man approached the big-bodied man, then shook hands and embraced him as a sign of separation. "I'm first, buddy. Bai laew na ka."

Without any burden, the young man left behind his four comrades who began to transport the precious treasures there. There was no regret on his face. There was only a wide smile that described the happiness of having found the treasure he wanted. A treasure that is not for himself, but a person, who will once again become a victim of his own evil.

***

[A few weeks later, far away from where the young man was]

I'm Wanara, a Junior High School student, who just celebrated her fourteenth birthday. After the little party at home was over - which I didn't really want - left one of the most important parts of the celebration. Open gifts from friends, neighbors, and relatives! This is what I've been waiting for.

The one moment that finally gave me a surprise was immeasurable. More than you can imagine and experience yourself. Either I should be angry or jittery over it.

All the gifts were transferred by my father upstairs, to my room, so that Chiya-my sister who was petty and super nosy-did not interfere when I opened it. With a bit of a nagging, dad granted my request. In a hurry because this afternoon he plans to watch a football match, between his favorite team against arch-rivals, to seize the top class ranking.

Finished all the gifts were moved, I had a fight with Chiya who forced my way into the room. Forcibly begged and begged that I would allow her to help open the gift. I hope he can ask for a gift or two that he likes. But no!

The fourth-grader of elementary school just gave up when Mama came. He seduced her by luring her favorite chocolate biscuits, and promised to buy her a giant honey bear doll for her birthday. He stuck his tongue out at me before he left. Bodo time. Basis cheeks bakpao.

One by one I opened a pack of various colors and patterns that lay in the room. In it, I get a lot of gifts.

There's a comic wrapped in the cover of a school book, which I originally had (Zacky's work for sure, because he borrowed this comic), a video game cassette from Aunt Sophie, to a sheet of butut slayer, to name a few, which turned out to be the signature of the personnel of the Black Kamvret Band, a metal band that is famous now. I'm sure it's a gift from Dad's best friend who likes to run music concerts.

All the gifts I have opened. From small to big. All finished I checked, except for one big box, which I deliberately left to open last. A hundred square centimetres in size, and wrapped in thick brown paper, upon which was a transparent plastic-coated message, with handwriting;

"Hey, Wanara! Happy birthday. This is a special gift from me. I'll keep you healthy always and hopefully your height can increase when I get back there. - Same in the Asian Outback."

Tama. He's my cousin who is ten years old, but if you have met, we will be fun playing and trying various things, which he got during his trip as a Travel Blogger. Fun brothers and friends, although different ages, if only his nosy nature who likes to teasekku "Si Midget" is eliminated.

Impatiently, I immediately tore the wrapping paper, until the thick cardboard was revealed. In my mind, the gift given must have been amazing. Either the world board game series he always showed after visiting a certain country, (some were given to me as mementos), or, or maybe an ancient artifact like the one I've seen on the Discovery Channel (but as far as I know it's a crime, so it's impossible). I don't know what, but I know for sure, this is no ordinary gift.

My spirit suddenly froze until it shrunk, when it knew the contents inside. There are only a series of books covered in various colors. There was nothing of interest, except the lines of embossed decoration printed in gold on the back of the book. Looks like embroidery.

When I say no, that's my personal conclusion, because I don't like reading books at all. Perhaps if this were to be given to Fiona, the nerdy ruler of the library and the head of the class who had been pushed all over the school, she would surely have soared in excitement. Not for me who prefers the game, whatever the form.

I left Tama's gift, which I thought was part of her naivety and persistence in getting me to love reading. The window of the world that will bring the reader into the author's vast world of thought. It was his promotion when he offered me to read the five hundred-page book of the Lightning Witch! I never read it, and it's neatly tucked away in the innermost part of the wardrobe. Why read the stories I've seen? It's a free activity, right?

"I'll give you an amazing gift on your birthday. Promise."

Tama's sentence four months ago, before he set out to continue his journey around the world, suddenly flashed. Teasing my concentration from the wooden puzzle game in the prize pile.

My curiosity won. I went back to the cardboard box, and picked up a book that had a red leather cover.

"Wa!" I screamed while throwing the book in any direction.

I was surprised because while picking up the book from inside the box, I saw a golden motif on the back of the book move. Not just an illusion of the eyes, because my palms also feel it.

Goddamnit! What did Tama give you exactly? Don't tell me it's some kind of item used for pranks like I saw on the internet.

I glanced at the red-bound book lying open there. I glanced at the white pages of the book.

It's blank! There is not a single piece of writing on it, let alone a picture. White clean without any stains. Hey, is that a storybook or a notebook?

I'm really upset. On this special day, he even pranks me with a silly prank not funny like this. Just see if I see you later, I'll make him pay for everything.

And also, there is a trait of him that never goes away. Always love mysteries, games, adventures, and puzzles - also nosy ones that go too far. There must be something in there that he's hiding in order to comply with that trait.

I took a long ruler from the study table. Closer enough, as far as the ruler I was holding touched the row of books in the box. Is it natural for me to act like that? Because it's possible that the gold motif on the back of the cover will jump out like a snake and entangle me.

I slide one by one the remaining books there. I wish there was something left at the bottom of the box. Twice back and forth I did that, but not in the least I found a clue. Blank.

There was little intention to take out all the books, in order to examine them in more detail. I made the last option just like it. Maybe somewhere else Tama can be used to leave clues. In the box, in the wrapping paper, or ....

I took back the paper wrapping. Ruffled it to find what I was looking for. Meet me! A piece of message coated in plastic. If I look again, the paper is like folded, not just a small tear containing his handwriting like a chicken claw.

Srak!

I tore the wrapping paper surrounded by tape, then took the paper out of its place.

Exactly right! It was a fold of paper behind which there was one more message from Tama. Longer than the one in front.

"Haha... You must be shocked, afraid, mixed with annoyance right, Little Brother? I'll bet you can solve the puzzle from me in no time. That's even if you didn't wet the bed before. Oh yes, about my promise that will give you a special gift. Now you open that book, which I'm guessing you must have thrown in shock, on any page. Wait a moment, until the text appears on the blank page that you open, then follow the instructions listed. Happy adventures, buddy."

Yeah, that's how Tama is. The person is very annoying, to the extent that Mama once scolded him for being childish, and not in accordance with his adult age.

However, apart from the ledge in the honest letter made me a little emotional, the description of the book he gave a little strange.

How could it possibly appear to be writing from such an empty paper? Different things if it is a tablet and smart phones like that. Or perhaps, it is the new technology that makes ordinary paper bring up writing automatically?

If there is such a thing, I am very grateful. No need to be tired of writing, and just think about it. The voila! Records and tasks can be completed in an instant.

Free guess.

I crawled closer to the book that was lying down. Touching it with the edge of the line - which I took again from the floor - several times. Nothing happened.

Bugh!

I closed the book with the help of a ruler. Squeezing eyes with a frown. Think hard.

"The Story of the Scaly Red Dragon Pomegranate."

Though at first glance, I clearly remember it. The gold-coloured writing was not on the front cover at all. And, did not the letters arranged form the title, exactly with the motif on the back of the book.

Justright. The motive was gone from where it originally was. It may be true to move and arranged into letters that read "Alangata Naga Scaly Red Pomegranate" which could be the title of the book. It's magical!

I slowly approached the book. Take it, after putting the ruler in any place. For a moment I remembered about the adventure in the letter Tama wrote. What kind of adventure? Is that just a supposition?

Before more and more question marks popped up in my head, I opened the page of the book "Altale Scaly Dragon Red Pomegranate," just like Tama's orders.

I glared at the empty page. Little hope that what Tama wrote happened, although there is doubt also stuck in the heart.

My breath's stuck.

For what! Line by line the sentences appeared on the white paper before my eyes. It was as if an invisible hand was writing it. Half in disbelief, I rubbed my eyes repeatedly, but the row of words continued to appear until the end of the page. It's real! Not illusions!

That's right what Tama said.

"You are Sam Daker, the poor farmer in the kingdom of Capitor. One day the kingdom is suddenly in an uproar, as Princess Asaru is missing kidnapped by a red scaly dragon pomegranate. The king held a contest to find Princess Asaru. For anyone who can bring the royal princess back safely, then she will be given a big gift as determined by the competition.

For you to be Sam Daker. Touch the pages of the book and say in your heart earnestly, 'I (name your name) promise with all my heart, soul, and body, to be Sam Daker the poor farmer. Write the story of the Red Scaly Dragon Pomegranate to completion, and will not break the promise, no matter what.'

Enter the world of the Red Scaly Dragon Pomegranate, and happy adventure until the end of the story. Good luck."

I was silent about the feeling between believing and not believing. Maybe I will immediately throw the book in this hand as before, if the incident occurred the writing was not told Tama in the letter.

Scared, yeah. However, it was finally defeated by a great curiosity. I started following the instructions in the book. Whatever the outcome, there is no harm in trying, right?

"I Wanara promised with all my heart, soul, and body, to become Sam Daker the poor farmer. Write the story of the Red Scaly Dragon Pomegranate to completion, and will not break the promise, no matter what."

Momentary deserted. Nothing happened either. Is it just like this? Then where's the fun?

Breathless. Everything changed!

A huge invisible energy came out of the book. Clutching and trying to pull me in. Surprised and unable to resist, my body was sucked into the book.

Didn't hurt. However, a glance later, my consciousness disappeared. All black, and really don't know what's going on with me.

Fucking tama!
