Magical Adventure Book
[Chapter 6-1] What I Finally Realized

Something I only realized after a long adventure in the world of this book is, I really am in the body of Sam.

I mean, I really was Sam, not just putting it together. The body, the memories, even the experience and the power belong to Sam, even though almost all of his consciousness is me. Wanara, the undefeated Mobile League game hero. Ask Zacky if you don't believe it.

I can say that because, a full day trip from the city of Tres to the foot of Lojom Hill, does not feel so heavy. Traveling on foot tens of kilometers, which I certainly would not be able to do as a Wanara.

Even yesterday when I was going to stay under a big tree, I could tell what steps to take. Prepare the land to sleep and clean the surroundings, to make a campfire without using a fire batter. Just use the wood I swirled around, and the chaff I took from the stables for preparation - and it again comes from Sam's knowledge.

It was already midday when I climbed a steep hill that was spread by thick grass as a foothold. Several times I almost slipped because of the wrong step on the slippery part. It was fortunate that my hand was still able to grab the strong grass planted there.

At the top, I was shocked. Looking at the giant tree in the middle of the valley - 30 meters high over - and also knowing the path I had to take next to get to the bottom of the valley. The steep ravine before me, with a slope of almost ninety degrees, separated the hilltop by the floor of the Lonely Valley.

Jumping just like that from a height of fifteen meters, was tantamount to suicide. The only way to think about it is to go down by holding on to the grass that grows around the hill. Wasn't that grass strong enough as a handle when I almost slipped?

Ah, crazy. But how else. That's the only option there is.

Hap! I shifted down while holding tightly on to the grass growing on the cliff wall. I'm grateful this grass doesn't grow wild in the yard. I could be out of playtime because I was told to wipe this grass with my dad. Even if we can remove it to the roots.

Even with Sam's body weight, if I thought it ranged from sixty to seventy kilos, this grass could still survive without even gouging off the ground. I wondered what kind of fertilizer to grow this grass. Maybe Uncle Drew can also use to overcome his hair loss.

At last. I made it to the bottom of the valley. Grounded natural floors of gravel are multicolored-exactly like the decorations found in aquariums-and large sand grains.

There is no grass growing here. Only shrubs in the form of shrubs that grow scattered in any place.

I started walking after being able to catch my breath, and the numbness in the hand disappeared. I will no longer do that. It's spooky!

Uh, but I'm gonna have to climb it again later. Ah, I hope Artapatu helps me get out of here. It's crazy to have to go through that place again. I can take my hand and climb it.

Now I better hurry to the middle of the valley. The place where the giant tree is. Remember the story of the travelers at the inn who said that this place was inhabited by man-eating ferocious monsters.

If I see him, I can complete my adventure here. Either I can go back to the world where I really belong, or I actually die. Thorough.

Ah, I don't want to die!

My shoulder has been a victim of that plant twice. Tearing off the pants I was wearing, while incising wounds with pain. Exactly like when my finger was sliced through a razor.

Actually the distance from the edge of the valley to the giant tree was not too far away. It's just that, the sharp shrill barricades around him, made me forced to go around in circles to find a way that can be passed.

Up close, I finally realized that only around the giant tree was there soil. A big mound, a place to grow and root the tree.

On the border between the loose red soil and the sandy rocks, there was a small trench that surrounded. Dry without water sitting there. It might just fill up if there is heavy rain.

I jumped over that trench. Go under the shade of a big tree. No more direct sunburns that burn the skin. In fact, uniquely there is only fresh air felt in the skin when I was here. It was as if the gust of dry wind around the valley could not pass through and enter the territory of the great tree.

Even so, I don't want to linger here.Fear later that man-eating monsters actually appear and prey on me.

I rushed to the big tree. Around it once, twice, even until the third round was over, I did not find the location of the hole as Artapatu had said.

Goddamnit! Don't be right what Kord said. Grandpa was just a fraud. If he really is powerful and has a weapon to defeat the dragon, why not do it himself? He no longer needed to be a beggar.

Goddamnit! Why think about it now?

I sat down limply leaning against the tree trunk. The energy in my body just drained away. Limp thought of my stupidity that would be fooled by the talk of the old man.

If I wanted to join Kord's invitation, by shifting dislike towards the arrogant and the rancid nobleman, of course I do not need to be stranded in this place in the middle of nowhere. With only a piece of dry bread left and a bottle of drinking water in the bag.

If this is the case, I will have to go back to the city of Tres. Fill up supplies, and maybe work another few days at the inn. It's too far if I walk straight from here to Fugal village. Two days of travel, while my supplies were not enough.

Goddamnit! The day started late afternoon. If I hurry, maybe before night I can get to the tree where I stayed yesterday. If you want to be reckless, I can continue the journey, and reach the city of Tres tomorrow before noon.

But in any case, I must leave this damned place immediately. As quickly and as far as possible, for some reason, suddenly a bad feeling arose in the heart. Like a bell warning of the coming of disaster.

It should be like that. But my eyes began to blur. This body suddenly disappeared. Even to stand I cannot.

An odd drowsiness invaded my consciousness. Little by little, everything darkened, like the stage lights in the drama show during the elementary school breakup. Just the fresh fragrance of leaves swirled down my nose, and the thick fog floating on the floor of the valley I last could catch. Before my consciousness was completely gone.
