[Chapter 9-2] Wait for Me, Friend!

Wait ... I didn't hear wrong, did I? As I recall, he used to think that carnivorous lizards only come out at night.

"Hey, what do you mean? You're not wrong about that, are you? It's still daytime, and not their dinner time. Then, what the fuck is that!?"

Yenz. Staring at me with wide, unblinking eyes. "Yes, they usually come out at night. But, another matter if there are other things, such as when their nest is damaged, or in the breeding season."

For a moment we were silent. I digested Yenz's words, and came to an important conclusion; I must run immediately!

Without any hesitation, I jumped from the squatting position. Swinging the weight of the foot that slips into the sand. Demi can quickly ride the Brown who began to look agitated. I think he knows danger is coming.

"Hey, wait!" Yenz's screams were not heard. Exactly, I don't want to care.

With a flexible movement, I jumped on a horse. Jerking while holding on to the saddle.

Unfortunately, before I had time to break the bridle in my grip, the back of my shabby shirt was pulled tight, which made my body carried to the back.

I choked the neck of my own shirt, as a result of the barbaric treatment of Yenz, to be able to ride a horse.

"What the fuck are you pulling my shirt! I almost died suffocating!" I snapped with a loud cough.

"You're the shit! Why would you leave me!?" hardiknya not less tight.

I'm going slow. "I'm sorry I panicked." Smile widely.

"Now walk! They're getting closer!" screeches after exhaling a puffy snort.

Not wasting any more time, I broke the bridle in my hand. The brown horse neighed loudly, then jumped as a start to be able to run fast.

Ah ... I'm sure he can't wait to run. If only Yenz had not interfered, we would have been far away from the herd of meat-eating lizards.

I whipped the horse's body many times, to make it go faster. But, however, this Brown run could not be faster than the lizard hordes, which clearly seemed to be getting closer.

"Faster, Marg!" Yenz hit me on the shoulder.

"You don't see what I'm doing, huh!?"

Silence for a moment, before Yenz finally said intelligently, "Is it possible because it's transporting two people he's so slow?"

At first glance I look down. Found that the iron-shoeed feet, the difficulty of tracing in the sandy soil. His sturdy legs slid so deep, making it difficult for him to run.

I pushed it back and said, "How about you get down here?"

Yenz glanced at the nanar directly into my eyes. "Why should I!?" he said with bated breath.

"Yes .. because," I thought for a while before continuing saying, "one, I am now driving a horse. Two, your body is smaller, so I'm sure you're running faster. Third, you owe me a horse."

"Damn it! You're the one who came down! Your large body actually makes this horse fatigued because of its weight!"

"You dare insult me fat, huh!? You're a fucking asshole!"

From there, we started fighting with each other. Pushing and pulling, reciprocating. Demi can drop, and determine who can remain on the horse. So fierce and frustrating at once!

Bruk!

And finally fell. Not me, not Yenz. But ridiculous, even the two of us who fell from the top of a brown-haired horse. The fool again, the horse has no brain it just ran so fast. As if it didn't care, and left me with Yenz to be eaten by carnivorous lizards.

He's looking for his own safety apparently!

"Because of you, we've fallen!" Upset, I'm cursing at Yenz.

With her pushy eyes, Yenz who pursed her thin lips, finally gave a long snort, before saying. "It's no use fighting. I'd rather run now, than be their food."

"Hey, wait!" I stood up, to run after Yenz.

Goddamnit! It's true what I said. He can run fast, more than me. If only he had wanted to go down, of course this was not the case.

The further I lagged behind, from that slim, blonde-haired man.

Ah .. I'm not strong. If only I could run as fast as Yenz. Sure, my chances of survival became greater.

"Yenz ... wait for me, man!" I screamed, before falling down. Not strong anymore to run. Fatigue due to the heat of the desert that is so stinging.

Never mind. I just resigned. Maybe it was my fate like this. Not here, not in the real world. I was always left out because I was slow and big. To then be sniffed by people who are great pretentious.

"Friends, wakeup!" I looked up, and did not expect to find Yenz trying to help me stand up.

"Thank you, buddy." I don't feel my tears starting to flow. Haru's.

"Not to cry! Now you stand up! Let's run!" his orders when I just got up.

"But .. We can't survive this way."

"How else then?"

"You go yourself. Let me be the bait here, so you can get away from them."

"All right then."

Huh huh? That easy? So why did you come back and help me stand up?

I clutched his hand. Holding him who was about to move, so that success made him stop stepping.

"What else!?" snapped it.

"You can leave me here?" I said with a voice to hold back the cry.

"Yes God! Then why did you tell me to go alone!?"

"Yes .. yeah, that was it. I'm honestly scared. Imagining them eating me alone is already chills. Look, my legs are shaking and limp. Even standing up is hard."

"Then how now!?"

"Don't know .. but please don't leave me."

Again. Yenz snorted in annoyance. And for a moment, his head bowed, before a snort stared at my waist.

"Use your gun!" his orders.

I lowered my head to see the white-handled rickshaw, which I honestly don't remember being there. It hangs nicely in a leather buckle, along with a line of bullets in its little pouch.

Without a second thought I pulled the gun out of the scabbard. Without being ordered, this hand that was monitored by the eye, just opened the cylinder where the shell casings were lodged, to check the ammunition contained.

Five of the six holes were filled with aminution, and the cylinder returned to its original position. Pulling the lever, to finally aim straight ahead.

All of those moves I did were like a professional. Well, even if it can happen, because of the ability of Margo, who has been experienced with weapons for years.

That's how I know, from memory interludes across the brain.

And, now I was definitely aiming for the lizard-shaped monster in front - just a few dozen meters away, and approaching very fast. The ugly creature with yellow scales was bottled in black, which ran using its four clawed legs and smeared it. Some even ran like humans, with their tails raised.

Seeing it all clearly - because of the closer they got - I momentarily pumped my zeal in a cubic way. How not. Their numbers are in the hundreds, while the bullets I have are only a dozen. Far from our chance to survive.

I turned my head and looked at Yenz with my eyes already inundated. "We can't possibly survive, man," I said. Nasal voice.

Yenz exhaled a long breath with his mouth open. Looking at the monsters that were soon partying on our flesh, with frowns. Obviously he was thinking something.

We stared for a long time at death approaching. Until the sound of horses coming from behind.

We looked around and found the chocolate back. Not only alone, but with a dull grey-haired donkey, who was rode by a large-bodied man, and had the leaves of a swath.

I swear, he whose body may be the size of Margo, is not very suitable to ride the little donkey.

The man riding the donkey, passed leisurely past us. As if human predatory lizards were getting closer, it was completely ignored.

Only a dozen meters remained, as the man picked up the glass bottle stuffed with patchwork. I started it with a mancis taken out of the bag of his leather vest.

A wave of hands tossed a burning-bomb molotov-brick bottle - which then broke apart, not far from the front row of the giant lizard. Not because it hit the sandy ground, but because of the gunfire.

The fire immediately blazed large. The lizards line up, because they immediately brake suddenly, or jump around to change the direction. I'm sure it happened because they saw a blaze that suddenly appeared to block.

All the lizards turned away. Stay away from us-me and Yenz-who are still gawking. The man with the bushes turned to approach us.

"Howdy, dear guests." The rescue man smiled broadly.
