Magical Adventure Book
[Chapter 7-1] Trapped in the Valley of Death

Six pairs of eyes, an alligator snout with hundreds of sharp teeth arranged together, and a spider body with a rattlesnake tail that always sounds loud. All that fear is still coupled with a pair of scorpion-clad hands that can tear your body into two pieces if flanked.

That's the monster from the movie "Child-Eating Mutant Terror" that managed to make me have nightmares for three days. And now the terrible monster is chasing me back in the narrow hallway, while continuing to crackle and stick its claws to catch me.

Yes, the man-eating mutant is back, even if only in dreams. Makes me jerk up from sleep, for a moment then dumbly look around. I don't know in a second, I finally realized, if now I am in the world in the book of Tama's giving.

Yep. In the middle of the Lonely Valley. Precisely on top of the mound of land where the big tree grew. The tree that should have a hole in the middle, where the magic weapon to defeat the dragon is stored. As Artapatu said, which turned out to be just a lie.

I tried to stand up again. It can! It's not like that where I was really made limp for no reason. Maybe I was magically sedated by a subtle creature.

The feathers of kudukku bristles. Not only because of the possibility of a creepy ghost, but also due to the environment of the valley that I finally realized had changed a little.

A dense white fog floating to the extent of the eyes covered the valley floor. Carrying the fresh aroma of leaves, which instead of giving a sense of calm, but even shrinking my nyaliku.

A second later I finally woke up. This valley is completely silent. There was no animal noise, the whirring of the afternoon wind towards night, not even the rustling of the leaves was there. Like someone who pranks pressing the mute button on the remote tivi. Makes the sound completely gone.

This is not a good sign! There's gonna be something going on after this. As in horror movies, sudden changes must be the beginning of the emergence of the killer or ghost who tried to strangle his victims.

I have to go right now! It would be foolish to continue to be here, while the danger sign was already clearly felt. With my heart pounding, I started to step.

Goddamnit! I fell to the gravel-filled valley floor. My left arm is throbbing pain from it. Not broken, just a little bruising. It could have happened because I forgot that around the tree there was a dry moat. As a result, my feet fell and stumbled there.

"Aragh!" Turns out my leg was sprained. It hurts a lot if you have to use it. Even so, I continued on my journey. Even though you have to walk while jumping using only the right foot. Anyway, I gotta get out of here.

Fucking plants! Out of my body and hands were scratched by the thorns and sharp edges of the leaves. It's been where I had to walk around to get to the end of the valley because of it.

After many struggles and injuries, I finally reached the end of the valley. With its nearly erect wall standing. Separate the bottom of this foggy hole from the outside world.

The question now is whether I can climb up. Get out of the creepy hole, which is getting gripping at the end of the afternoon by night. May Sam's muscular hand firmly grasp the grass to carry me up.

It doesn't matter how to continue the journey or stuff. Now the important thing is that I can get out before really man-eating monsters, as rumored, appear to seek prey.

For a moment I took a deep breath, in order to stop panting, while shaking my hands. Warm up before climbing out of this creepy place.

The night has risen. Fortunately, a full full moon provides enough light to aid vision. So, I don't have to fumble when looking for a grip.

Ready it! Time to crawl through the walls like a lizard.

But wait a minute. There was something strange about the grass in front of me. They seemed to be swaying slowly, but from then on there was absolutely no wind.

Was it just a hallucination? Like those moving illusion images that Fio once sent on his pacehook veranda?

Nah! Not an illusion at all! The long dangling grass was indeed truly moving. It's like life, like a bunch of worms squirming around.

Hey, let alone this grass is a slumbering snake monster, and it will come out of the ground at night, to catch its prey. Or, it could be that this valley is a giant pitcher of stews - know that insect-eating plant?- that traps its prey for dinner.

If it's like that, I've been fooled by the goddamn grandpa. He fed me to this valley-shaped creature. I was kind enough to give him money to eat.

The grass is moving faster. It was so fast, like an earthquake. And, finally simultaneously - with no sound at all - hundreds of thousands of grasses on the walls of the valley stretched forward.

It hurts! The grass tip poked my nose.

I'm jumped. Reflek jumped backward, to avoid the lunatic grass. It fell on a rocky floor, which fortunately my back did not touch the thorny bushes.

Fortunately, it only sticks a little. If closer, I can see my head pierced by that crazy grass.

But wait! If the grass on the cliff wall became as sharp as a knife, how could I climb up? I'm stuck in this damned valley then!

Fucking artapatu! Brash old grandpa! What does he mean to feed me to this bastard valley? Let alone from the beginning I really want to be used as a collision so that his magic increases. As in the legends of ancient witches.

Still I was shocked by the crazy events before, suddenly the fog floating on the valley floor started to move. Towards the big tree there.

If I had brought a smart phone. I will post this magical phenomenon. Must have gone viral. Sweetheart left in the room.

But that's not what matters now. There must have been the intent of this series of events in the valley that was trapping me. And I'm sure, that's not a good thing. Dare bet.

Light flashed across some of those clouds. Stay without sound. They then started moving in circles. Rotating on the tree, like dancing with flash light that continues to light alternately.

It's raining down hard. But only around the tree. Clumps of clouds bring down local rain that soaks the stems, branches, leaves and red soil there. Continue to fill the trench that surrounds the tree until it overflows. It seeped in between the rocks and began to form puddles on the valley floor.

The water keeps flowing. Creeper over the thorny bush that has inflicted so much injury on me. At that time I was flabbergasted, because the shrub plant was slowly melted soaked in stagnant water. Like a piece of butter on a hot frying pan.

Crazy one! What the fuck?

What the cloud is throwing out is a rain of hard water. A dangerous liquid that he said could even melt iron. Die me! If it hits, I will melt and turn into food for this bastard valley.

What am I supposed to do? In front of me was the digestive juices of this cursed valley, while behind me was already waiting for thousands of sharp grasses. I was completely locked up with no chance of escape.

What if I die here? Will I repeat the story from the beginning? Or get out of this book? But it does not rule out the possibility that I will really die. Just be careful, if that happens, I will touch Tama for the rest of her life.

Then now what should I do? The liquid is getting closer. I walked backwards to avoid it. Keep doing it without thinking anything more. I'm gonna die here.

"Akh!" The sharp end of the grass pierced my back. There was no place to run anymore. Meanwhile, in front of me was only one inch left, until the puddle touched the tip of the footwear.

Perceived. The water has hit me. It seeps into the leather shoes I use. Moisten the already submerged part.

Waitaminute! This water feels cold. It doesn't cause the burning pain I thought it would. Oi! It's just ordinary rainwater. As in general.

That is, the shrub is not melted because this puddle is hard water, but because it has become such a trait. It might be like some kind of princess plant in shame, but in an even more extreme class. Really not funny.

For a moment all was calm. I can breathe a sigh of relief, as well as a heartbeat that returns to regularity. At least until the last drop of rain, before the entire mini cloud disappears.

A strong earthquake suddenly appeared. I jumped forward, and landed on a puddle of water. My knees hurt, but they must, rather than falling backward and pierced by the sharp grass on the valley wall.

One thing I finally realized. The quake came from a tree in the middle of the valley. He grew bigger and higher. Two, maybe even three times the previous size. It became a giant tree, which devoured the red earth around it.

I'm flabbergasted. Not only because of the miraculous growth of the tree in the middle of the valley, but also because of the appearance of a large hole there. In the body of the giant tree.

Uh. Maybe that's what Artapatu meant to tell me to come to this valley on a full moon. Because, only tonight, the tree grew and opened its entrance, leading to a place of weapons to conquer the dragon.

I stood up and started to step. Still limping, but not as sick as before. Maybe the effect of being happy to find what I was looking for after days of struggle. Or maybe, actually the water that pooled in this valley, is the magic water that can heal wounds.

I don't know. Now I better hurry to the tree. Entering the large cavity that was there, and retrieving the weapons stored within. Maybe even stay overnight, until the cliff wall I can climb out.

Step by step I move. It is easier because it can go directly to the destination. No longer need to rotate far avoiding the prickly sharp shrubbery.

However, the closer I got to the giant tree, the more anxiety in my chest grew. Isn't it enough with a spate of unfunny comedies that almost made my heart stop?

I don't know what will come up later, but hopefully not a bad thing. For I am half dead in the face of all this senseless silliness.

Dismissed all! I quietly stopped helping before I could continue the step that was already half the way. Cold sweat poured out, and my body trembled uncontrollably.

How not. Across there. Inside the cavity of the giant tree, a pair of palm-sized, shining eyes stared directly at me. So sharp squealing without blinking. As if targeting the prey that will be devoured. In this case, the prey is me.

"Grow!"

The furious voice that echoed around the valley, was definitely not a good sign. Don't you?

Goddamnit! Maybe this time I'll die!
